Job 42
1 Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,
Y respondió Job a Jehová, y dijo:
2 I know that thou can do all things, and that no purpose of thine can be restrained.
Yo conozco que todo lo puedes, y que no hay pensamiento que se esconda de ti.
3 Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
¿Quién es el que oscurece el consejo sin sabiduría? Por tanto yo denunciaba lo que no entendía; cosas que me eran ocultas, y que no las sabía.
4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak, I will ask of thee, and declare thou to me.
Oye ahora, y hablaré: preguntarte he y harásme saber.
5 I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee.
De oídas te había oído; mas ahora mis ojos te ven.
6 Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
Por tanto yo me condeno a mí mismo, y me arrepiento en polvo y ceniza.
7 And it was so, that, after Jehovah had spoken these words to Job, Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends. For ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
Y aconteció que después que habló Jehová estas palabras a Job, Jehová dijo a Elifaz Temanita: Mi ira se encendió contra ti y tus dos compañeros, porque no habéis hablado por mí lo recto, como mi siervo Job.
8 Now therefore, take to you seven bullocks and seven rams. And go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for him I will accept, that I not deal with you after your folly. For ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
Ahora pues tomáos siete becerros, y siete carneros, y andád a mi siervo Job, y ofrecéd holocausto por vosotros: y mi siervo Job orará por vosotros; porque por su respeto solamente no os trataré afrentosamente, por cuanto no habéis hablado por mí rectamente, como mi siervo Job.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did according as Jehovah commanded them, and Jehovah accepted Job.
Y fueron Elifaz Temanita, y Baldad Sujita, y Sofar Naamatita, e hicieron como Jehová les dijo; y Jehová tuvo respeto a Job.
10 And Jehovah turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. And Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Y tornó Jehová la aflicción de Job orando él por sus amigos; y aumentó con él doble todas las cosas que habían sido de Job.
11 Then there came to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him. Each man also gave him a piece of money, and each one a ring of gold.
Y vinieron a él todos sus hermanos, y todas sus hermanas, y todos los que primero le habían conocido, y comieron con él pan en su casa, y condoleciéronse de él, y consoláronle de todo aquel mal que Jehová había traído sobre él; y cada uno de ellos le dio una oveja, y una joya de oro.
12 So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-donkeys.
Y Jehová bendijo a la postrimería de Job, más que a su principio; porque tuvo catorce mil ovejas, y seis mil camellos, y mil yuntas de bueyes, y mil asnas.
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
Y tuvo siete hijos y tres hijas;
14 And he called the name of the first, Jemimah, and the name of the second, Keziah, and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
Y llamó el nombre de la una Jemima, y el nombre de la segunda Cesia, y el nombre de la tercera Keren-hapuc.
15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job. And their father gave them inheritance among their brothers.
Y no se hallaron mujeres tan hermosas como las hijas de Job, en toda la tierra; y dióles su padre herencia entre sus hermanos.
16 And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
Y después de esto vivió Job ciento y cuarenta años, y vio a sus hijos, y a los hijos de sus hijos, hasta la cuarta generación.
17 So Job died, being old and full of days.
Y murió Job viejo, y harto de días.
