< Job 32 >

1 So these three men ceased to answer Job because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio andũ acio atatũ nĩmatigire gũcookeria Ayubu, nĩ ũndũ eeyonaga arĩ mũthingu.
2 Then the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled. His anger was kindled against Job because he justified himself rather than God.
3 His anger was also kindled against his three friends because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
Ningĩ nĩarakarĩtio nĩ arata acio atatũ tondũ nĩmagĩte ũndũ mangĩcookeria Ayubu, o na gũtuĩka nĩmamũtuĩrĩire ciira.
4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job, because they were older than he.
Na rĩrĩ, Elihu aambĩte gweterera acio angĩ maarie atanaaria na Ayubu, tondũ o maarĩ akũrũ kũmũkĩra.
5 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his anger was kindled.
No rĩrĩa onire atĩ andũ acio atatũ matiarĩ na ũndũ ũngĩ wa kuuga-rĩ, agĩakanwo nĩ marakara.
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old. Therefore I held back, and dared not show you my opinion.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio Elihu, mũrũ wa Barakeli ũcio Mũbuzi, akiuga atĩrĩ: “Niĩ ndĩ na mĩaka mĩnini, na inyuĩ mũrĩ akũrũ; nĩkĩo ngwĩtigagĩra, ngaaga ũũmĩrĩru wa kũmwĩra ũrĩa njũũĩ.
7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
Ndeciiragia atĩrĩ, ‘Ũkũrũ nĩwaagĩrĩire warie; ũingĩ wa mĩaka nĩwaagĩrĩire kũrutana ũũgĩ.’
8 But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
No nĩ roho ũrĩa ũrĩ thĩinĩ wa mũndũ, o yo mĩhũmũ ya Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, ũheaga mũndũ ũmenyo.
9 It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.
To arĩa akũrũ oiki oogĩ, na to arĩa akũrũ mamenyaga ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire.
10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me, I also will show my opinion.
“Nĩ ũndũ ũcio nguuga atĩrĩ, ‘Thikĩrĩriai; o na niĩ nĩngũmwĩra ũrĩa njũũĩ.’
11 Behold, I waited for your words, I listened for your reasonings, while ye searched out what to say.
Nĩngwetereire rĩrĩa mũkwaragia, ndathikĩrĩria ihooto cianyu; rĩrĩa mũgũcaragia ciugo-rĩ,
12 Yea, I attended to you. And, behold, there was none who convinced Job, or who answered his words among you.
nĩngũmũtegeire matũ biũ. No gũtirĩ o na ũmwe wanyu wonanirie mahĩtia ma Ayubu; gũtirĩ o na ũmwe wanyu ũmũcookeirie mĩario yake.
13 Beware lest ye say, We have found wisdom. God may vanquish him, not man.
Tigai kuuga atĩrĩ, ‘Nĩtũgĩĩte na ũũgĩ; rekei Mũrungu amũkararie, no ti mũndũ.’
14 For he has not directed his words against me. Neither will I answer him with your speeches.
No rĩrĩ, Ayubu ti niĩ ekwerekeirie ciugo ciake, na niĩ ndikũmũcookeria kũringana na mĩario yanyu.
15 They are amazed, they answer no more. They have not a word to say.
“Nĩmamakĩte, na matirĩ na ũndũ ũngĩ mangiuga; nĩmarigĩtwo nĩ atĩa mangiuga.
16 And shall I wait because they do not speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?
no nginya njeterere, nĩ ũndũ rĩu nĩmakirĩte, tondũ atĩ rĩu marũgamĩte hau matarĩ na macookio?
17 I also will answer my part. I also will show my opinion,
O na niĩ nĩngwaria; o na niĩ nĩnguuga ũrĩa njũũĩ.
18 for I am full of words. The spirit within me compels me.
Nĩgũkorwo njiyũrĩtwo nĩ ciugo, naguo roho ũrĩa ũrĩ thĩinĩ wakwa nĩũrandindĩkĩrĩria;
19 Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent. Like new wine-skins it is ready to burst.
thĩinĩ wakwa haana ta ndibei ĩrĩ cuba ngunĩke, ngahaana ta mondo njerũ ya ndibei ĩkirie gũtuthũka.
20 I will speak that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.
no nginya njarie hũũcũke, no nginya ndumũre mĩromo yakwa njookie ũhoro.
21 Let me not, I pray you, respect any man's person. Neither will I give flattering titles to any man.
Ndigũtĩĩra mũndũ o na ũ maũthĩ, kana ngaathĩrĩrie mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ tũhũ;
22 For I know not to give flattering titles, else my maker would soon take me away.
nĩ ũndũ korwo ndĩ mwara na kũgaathĩrĩria, Mũnyũũmbi no anjeherie narua.
