Job 11
1 Then Zophar the Naamathite answered, and said,
পরে নামাথীয় সোফর উত্তর দিলেন:
2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?
“এসব কথা কি উত্তর ছাড়াই থেকে যাবে? এই বাচাল লোকটি কি সমর্থন পেয়েই যাবে?
3 Should thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mock, shall no man make thee ashamed?
তোমার বাজে কথা কি অন্যান্য লোকদের চুপ করিয়ে রাখবে? তুমি যখন বিদ্রুপ করছ তখন কি কেউ তোমাকে তিরস্কার করবে না?
4 For thou say, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
তুমি ঈশ্বরকে বলেছ, ‘আমার বিশ্বাস অটুট ও তোমার দৃষ্টিতে আমি নির্মল।’
5 But O that God would speak, and open his lips against thee,
আহা, আমি চাই ঈশ্বর কথা বলুন, তিনি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর ঠোঁট খুলুন
6 and that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacts of thee less than thine iniquity deserves.
ও তোমার কাছে জ্ঞানের রহস্য উন্মোচন করুন, যেহেতু প্রকৃত জ্ঞানের দুটি দিক আছে। জেনে রাখো: ঈশ্বর তোমার কয়েকটি পাপ ভুলেও গিয়েছেন।
7 Can thou find out God by searching? Can thou find out the Almighty to perfection?
“তুমি কি ঈশ্বরের রহস্যগুলির গভীরতা মাপতে পারো? সর্বশক্তিমানের সীমানার রহস্যভেদ করতে পারো?
সেগুলি ঊর্ধ্বস্থ আকাশের চেয়েও উঁচু—তুমি কী করতে পারো? সেগুলি নিম্নস্থ পাতালের চেয়েও গভীর—তুমি কী জানতে পারো? (Sheol h7585)
9 The measure of it is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
তাদের মাপ পৃথিবীর চেয়েও দীর্ঘ ও সমুদ্রের চেয়েও প্রশস্ত।
10 If he passes through, and shuts up, and all to judgment, then who can hinder him?
“তিনি এসে যদি তোমায় জেলখানায় বন্দি করেন ও বিচারসভা বসান, তবে কে তাঁর বিরোধিতা করবে?
11 For he knows false men. He also sees iniquity. Will he not then consider it?
নিশ্চয় তিনি প্রতারকদের চিনতে পারেন; ও তিনি যখন অনিষ্ট দেখেন, তখন কি তিনি তার হিসেব রাখেন না?
12 But vain man is void of understanding. Yea, man is born as a wild donkey's colt.
কিন্তু হীনবুদ্ধি কখনোই জ্ঞানী হতে পারবে না যেভাবে বুনো গর্দভশাবক মানুষ হয়ে জন্মাতে পারে না।
13 If thou set thy heart aright, and stretch out thy hands toward him,
“তবুও তুমি যদি তাঁর প্রতি তোমার অন্তর উৎসর্গ করো ও তাঁর দিকে তোমার হাত বাড়িয়ে দাও,
14 if iniquity is in thy hand, put it far away, and let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents.
তুমি যদি তোমার হাতে লেগে থাকা পাপ ঝেড়ে ফেলো ও তোমার তাঁবুতে কোনও অমঙ্গল বসবাস করতে না দাও,
15 Surely then thou shall lift up thy face without spot. Yea, thou shall be steadfast, and shall not fear.
তবে, দোষমুক্ত হয়ে, তুমি তোমার মুখ তুলবে; তুমি সুস্থির থাকবে ও ভয় করবে না।
16 For thou shall forget thy misery. Thou shall remember it as waters that are passed away.
নিশ্চয় তুমি তোমার দুর্দশা ভুলে যাবে, প্রবাহিত জলের মতো শুধু তা স্মরণ করবে।
17 And thy life shall be clearer than the noonday. Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.
জীবন মধ্যাহ্নের চেয়েও উজ্জ্বল হবে, ও অন্ধকার সকালের মতো হয়ে যাবে।
18 And thou shall be secure, because there is hope. Yea, thou shall search about thee, and shall take thy rest in safety.
তুমি নিশ্চিন্ত হবে, যেহেতু আশা আছে; তুমি সুরক্ষিত থাকবে ও নিরাপদে বিশ্রাম ভোগ করবে।
19 Also thou shall lie down, and none shall make thee afraid. Yea, many shall correspond with thee.
তুমি শুয়ে পড়বে, ও কেউ তোমাকে ভয় দেখাবে না, ও অনেকেই তোমার সাহায্যপ্রার্থী হবে।
20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee. And their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit.
কিন্তু দুর্জনদের চোখ নিস্তেজ হবে, ও পরিত্রাণ তাদের কাছ থেকে দূরে পালাবে; তাদের আশা মৃত্যুকালীন খাবিতে পরিণত হবে।”
