Job 1
1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job, and that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.
Ера ын цара Уц ун ом каре се нумя Йов. Ши омул ачеста ера фэрэ приханэ ши курат ла суфлет. Ел се темя де Думнезеу ши се абэтя де ла рэу.
2 And there were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
И с-ау нэскут шапте фий ши трей фете.
3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she-donkeys, and a very great household, so that this man was the greatest of all the sons of the east.
Авя шапте мий де ой, трей мий де кэмиле, чинч суте де перекь де бой, чинч суте де мэгэрице ши ун фоарте маре нумэр де служиторь. Ши омул ачеста ера чел май ку вазэ динтре тоць локуиторий Рэсэритулуй.
4 And his sons went and held a feast in the house of each one upon his day, and they sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
Фиий сэй се дучяу уний ла алций ши дэдяу, рынд пе рынд, кыте ун оспэц. Ши пофтяу ши пе челе трей сурорь але лор сэ мэнынче ши сэ бя ымпреунэ ку ей.
5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were completed, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and renounced God in their hearts. Thus Job did continually.
Ши, дупэ че тречяу зилеле де оспэц, Йов кема ши сфинця пе фиий сэй: се скула дис-де-диминяцэ ши адучя пентру фиекаре дин ей кыте о ардере-де-тот. Кэч зичя Йов: „Поате кэ фиий мей ау пэкэтуит ши ау супэрат пе Думнезеу ын инима лор.” Аша авя Йов обичей сэ факэ.
6 Now it came to pass on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Jehovah, that Satan also came among them.
Фиий луй Думнезеу ау венит ынтр-о зи де с-ау ынфэцишат ынаинтя Домнулуй. Ши а венит ши Сатана ын мижлокул лор.
7 And Jehovah said to Satan, From where do thou come? Then Satan answered Jehovah, and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.
Домнул а зис Сатаней: „Де унде вий?” Ши Сатана а рэспунс Домнулуй: „Де ла кутреераря пэмынтулуй ши де ла плимбаря пе каре ам фэкут-о пе ел.”
8 And Jehovah said to Satan, Have thou considered my servant Job? For there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.
Домнул а зис Сатаней: „Ай вэзут пе робул Меу Йов? Ну есте нимень ка ел пе пэмынт. Есте ун ом фэрэ приханэ ши курат ла суфлет, каре се теме де Думнезеу ши се абате де ла рэу.”
9 Then Satan answered Jehovah, and said, Does Job fear God for nothing?
Ши Сатана а рэспунс Домнулуй: „Оаре деӂяба се теме Йов де Думнезеу?
10 Have thou not made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has, on every side? Thou have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Ну л-ай окротит Ту пе ел, каса луй ши тот че есте ал луй? Ай бинекувынтат лукрул мынилор луй ши турмеле луй акоперэ цара.
11 But put forth thy hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will renounce thee to thy face.
Дар я ынтинде-Ць мына ши атинӂе-Те де тот че аре, ши сунт ынкрединцат кэ Те ва блестема ын фацэ.”
12 And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in thy power, only upon himself do not put forth thy hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of Jehovah.
Домнул а зис Сатаней: „Ятэ, ыць дау пе мынэ тот че аре, нумай асупра луй сэ ну ынтинзь мына.” Ши Сатана а плекат динаинтя Домнулуй.
13 And it fell on a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house,
Ынтр-о зи, пе кынд фиий ши фийчеле луй Йов мынкау ши бяу вин ын каса фрателуй лор ынтый нэскут,
14 that there came a messenger to Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the donkeys feeding beside them,
а венит ла Йов ун сол, каре а зис: „Боий арау ши мэгэрицеле пэштяу лынгэ ей.
15 and the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away. Yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword, and only I alone have escaped to tell thee.
Ши с-ау арункат ниште сабеень асупра лор, й-ау луат ши ау трекут пе служиторь прин аскуцишул сабией. Нумай еу ам скэпат, ка сэ-ць дау де штире.”
16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God fell from heaven, and has burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them, and only I alone have escaped to tell thee.
Пе кынд ворбя ел ынкэ, а венит ун алтул ши а зис: „Фокул луй Думнезеу а кэзут дин чер ши а апринс оиле ши пе служиторий тэй ши й-а арс де тот. Нумай еу ам скэпат, ка сэ-ць дау де штире.”
17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have taken them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword, and only I alone have escaped to tell thee.
Пе кынд ворбя ел ынкэ, а венит ун алтул ши а зис: „Ниште халдеень, ыншираць ын трей чете, с-ау арункат асупра кэмилелор, ле-ау луат ши ау трекут пе служиторь прин аскуцишул сабией. Нумай еу ам скэпат, ка сэ-ць дау де штире.”
18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house.
Пе кынд ворбя ел ынкэ, а венит ун алтул ши а зис: „Фиий тэй ши фийчеле тале мынкау ши бяу вин ын каса фрателуй лор ынтый нэскут.
19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead, and only I alone have escaped to tell thee.
Ши деодатэ, а венит ун вынт маре де динколо де пустиу ши а избит ын челе патру колцурь але касей; каса с-а прэбушит песте тинерь ши ау мурит. Ши ам скэпат нумай еу, ка сэ-ць дау де штире.”
20 Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshiped.
Атунч, Йов с-а скулат, шь-а сфышият мантауа ши шь-а тунс капул. Апой, арункынду-се ла пэмынт, с-а ынкинат
21 And he said, Naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away, blessed be the name of Jehovah.
ши а зис: „Гол ам ешит дин пынтечеле мамей меле ши гол мэ вой ынтоарче ын сынул пэмынтулуй. Домнул а дат ши Домнул а луат. Бинекувынтат фие Нумеле Домнулуй!”
22 In all this Job did not sin, nor foolishly accuse God.
Ын тоате ачестя, Йов н-а пэкэтуит делок ши н-а ворбит нимик некувиинчос ымпотрива луй Думнезеу.
