Jeremiah 52
1 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
சிதேக்கியா அரசனானபோது இருபத்தொரு வயதுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான். அவன் எருசலேமில் பதினோரு வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான். அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் அமூத்தாள். அவள் லிப்னா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த எரேமியாவின் மகள்.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
சிதேக்கியாவும் யோயாக்கீம் செய்ததுபோலவே, யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையானதைச் செய்தான்.
3 For it came to pass through the anger of Jehovah, in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
யெகோவாவின் கோபத்தினாலேயே எருசலேமுக்கும் யூதாவுக்கும் இவையெல்லாம் நடந்தன. முடிவில் அவர்களை தமது சமுகத்திலிருந்து அகற்றிவிட்டார். இந்த நேரத்தில் சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோன் அரசனுக்கு எதிராக கலகம் செய்தான்.
4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army against Jerusalem, and encamped against it. And they built forts against it round about.
எனவே சிதேக்கியா அரசாண்ட ஒன்பதாம் வருடம், பத்தாம் மாதம், பத்தாம் தேதி பாபிலோன் அரசன் நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் தன் எல்லாப் படைகளுடனும், எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக அணிவகுத்து வந்தான். அவர்கள் நகரத்துக்கு வெளியே முகாமிட்டு, அதைச் சுற்றிலும் கொத்தளங்களை அமைத்தார்கள்.
5 So the city was besieged to the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
சிதேக்கியா அரசனின் ஆட்சியில் பதினோராம் வருடம்வரை, பட்டணம் முற்றுகை போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
6 In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
நான்காம் மாதம் ஒன்பதாம் நாளில், பட்டணத்தில் பஞ்சம் மிகவும் கொடியதாய் இருந்ததினால், அங்கிருந்த மக்களுக்கு சாப்பிடுவதற்கு உணவு இல்லாதிருந்தது.
7 Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden, (now the Chaldeans were against the city round about), and they went toward the Arabah.
அப்பொழுது பட்டணத்து மதில் உடைக்கப்பட்டது. முழு இராணுவமும் தப்பி ஓடியது. பாபிலோனியர் பட்டணத்தைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்த போதிலும், அரசனின் தோட்டத்தின் அருகே இரு சுவர்களுக்கும் இடையில் இருந்த வாசல் வழியாக, இரவு நேரத்தில் அவர்கள் பட்டணத்தைவிட்டு ஓடினார்கள். அவர்கள் யோர்தான் பள்ளத்தாக்கை நோக்கித் தப்பி ஓடினார்கள்.
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him.
ஆனால் பாபிலோனியப் படைகள் சிதேக்கியா அரசனைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து சென்று, எரிகோவின் சமவெளியில் அவனைப் பிடித்தார்கள். அவனுடைய எல்லா இராணுவவீரரும் அவனிடமிருந்து பிரிக்கப்பட்டு சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டதால், சிதேக்கியா பிடிபட்டான்.
9 Then they took the king, and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he gave judgment upon him.
அவன் ஆமாத் நாட்டிலுள்ள ரிப்லாவில் இருந்த பாபிலோன் அரசனிடம் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டான். அங்கே பாபிலோன் அரசன் அவனுக்குத் தீர்ப்பளித்தான்.
10 And the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. He also killed all the rulers of Judah in Riblah.
ரிப்லாவிலே பாபிலோன் அரசன், சிதேக்கியாவின் மகன்களை அவனுடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவே கொலைசெய்தான். யூதாவின் எல்லா அலுவலர்களையும் கொலைசெய்தான்.
11 And he put out the eyes of Zedekiah. And the king of Babylon bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
பின்பு பாபிலோனின் அரசன் சிதேக்கியாவின் கண்களைப் பிடுங்கி, வெண்கலச் சங்கிலிகளால் கட்டி, அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான். அங்கே அவன் சாகும் நாள்வரை சிறையில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தான்.
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, came into Jerusalem.
பாபிலோன் அரசனான நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் ஆட்சி செய்த பத்தொன்பதாம் வருடம், ஐந்தாம் மாதம், பத்தாம் நாளில், பாபிலோன் அரசனுக்குப் பணிசெய்த மெய்க்காவல் தளபதியான நேபுசராதான் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான்.
13 And he burned the house of Jehovah, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. Even every great house, he burned with fire.
அவன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தையும், அரண்மனையையும், எருசலேமிலிருந்த வீடுகள் அனைத்தையும் சுட்டெரித்தான். முக்கியமான கட்டிடங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் அவன் எரித்துப்போட்டான்.
14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
பேரரசின் மெய்க்காவல் தளபதியின் தலைமையில் முழு பாபிலோனியப் படையும், எருசலேமைச் சுற்றியிருந்த எல்லா மதில்களையும் உடைத்தது வீழ்த்தியது.
15 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the poorest of the people, and the residue of the people who were left in the city, and those who fell away, who fell to the king of Babylon, and the residue of the multitude.
மெய்க்காவல் தளபதி நேபுசராதான் ஏழை மக்களுள் சிலரையும், பட்டணத்தில் மீதியாயிருந்தவர்களையும், மீதியாயிருந்த கைவினைஞர்களுடனும், பாபிலோன் அரசனிடம் சரணடைய வந்தவர்களுடனும் நாடுகடத்திச் சென்றான்.
16 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
ஆனால் அந்த நாட்டில் மீதியாயிருந்த ஏழை மக்களையோ, திராட்சைத் தோட்டங்களிலும் வயல்களிலும் வேலைசெய்வதற்காக மெய்க்காவல் தளபதி நேபுசராதான் அங்கே விட்டுச்சென்றான்.
17 And the pillars of brass that were in the house of Jehovah, and the bases and the brazen sea that were in the house of Jehovah, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
பாபிலோனியர் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திலிருந்த வெண்கலத் தூண்களையும், ஆதாரங்களையும், வெண்கல தண்ணீர் தொட்டியையும் உடைத்து அவைகளிலிருந்த வெண்கலம் முழுவதையும் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
18 The pots also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they ministered, they took away.
அதோடு ஆலய வழிபாடுகளில் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட பானைகளையும், சாம்பல் கரண்டிகளையும், கத்திகளையும், தூபகிண்ணங்களையும், தட்டங்களையும் மற்றும் எல்லா வெண்கலப் பொருட்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போனார்கள்.
19 And the cups, and the fire pans, and the basins, and the pots, and the lampstands, and the spoons, and the bowls-that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver-the captain of the guard took away.
மெய்க்காவல் தளபதி சுத்தத் தங்கத்தினாலும், வெள்ளியினாலும் செய்யப்பட்ட தூபகிண்ணங்களையும், தூபகலசங்களையும், தெளிக்கும் பாத்திரங்களையும், பானைகளையும், குத்துவிளக்குகளையும், தட்டங்களையும், பானபலிக்குப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட கிண்ணங்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போனான்.
20 The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve brazen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made for the house of Jehovah-the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்துக்காக அரசனாகிய சாலொமோன் செய்த இரண்டு தூண்களிலும், தண்ணீர் தொட்டியிலும், அதன் உருளக்கூடிய ஆதாரங்களுக்கு கீழிருந்த பன்னிரண்டு வெண்கல எருதுகள், ஆகியவற்றிலுள்ள வெண்கலத்தின் எடை நிறுக்கமுடியாத அளவு அதிகமாயிருந்தன.
21 And as for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and a line of twelve cubits encompassed it, and the thickness of it was four fingers; it was hollow.
ஒவ்வொரு தூணும் இருபத்தேழு அடி உயரமும், பதினெட்டு அடி சுற்றளவுமாயிருந்தன. ஒவ்வொன்றும் நான்கு விரலளவு கனமாகவும், உள்ளே குழாயாகவும் இருந்தது.
22 And a capital of brass was upon it. And the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capital round about, all of brass. And the second pillar also had like these, and pomegranates.
தூணின் உச்சியில் ஏழரை அடி உயரமான வெண்கலக் குமிழ் இருந்தது. அது சுற்றிலும் வெண்கலத்தினாலான வலைப் பின்னல்களாலும், வெண்கல மாதுளம் பழங்களாலும், அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. மற்றத் தூணும், அப்படியே அதன் மாதுளம் பழங்களோடு அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
23 And there were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides. All the pomegranates were a hundred upon the network round about.
அதன் பக்கங்களில் தொண்ணூற்றாறு மாதுளம் பழங்கள் இருந்தன. சுற்றிலும் வலைப்பின்னலுக்கு மேலாக இருந்த மாதுளம் பழங்களின் மொத்த எண்ணிக்கை நூறு ஆகும்.
24 And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold.
மெய்க்காவல் தளபதி, தலைமை ஆசாரியன் செராயாவையும், இரண்டாவது நிலை ஆசாரியனான செப்பனியாவையும், மூன்று வாசல் காவலரையும் கைதிகளாகக் கொண்டுபோனான்.
25 And from the city he took an officer who was set over the men of war, and seven men of those who saw the king's face, who were found in the city, and the scribe of the captain of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the midst of the city.
மேலும் அவன், பட்டணத்தில் இருந்தவர்களில் இராணுவவீரருக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்த அதிகாரியையும், ஏழு அரச ஆலோசகர்களையும் கொண்டுபோனான். அவன் இராணுவத்திற்கு ஆள் சேர்ப்பதற்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்த பிரதான அதிகாரியாயிருந்த செயலாளரையும், பட்டணத்தில் அவனோடிருந்த அறுபதுபேரையும் கொண்டுபோனான்.
26 And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
காவல் தளபதி நேபுசராதான் அவர்கள் யாவரையும் ரிப்லாவிலிருந்த பாபிலோனிய அரசனிடம் கொண்டுபோனான்.
27 And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.
அங்கே ஆமாத் நாட்டிலிருந்த ரிப்லாவிலே பாபிலோனிய அரசன் அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்தான். இவ்விதமாக யூதா தன் சொந்த நாட்டிலிருந்து சிறைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டுப் போனாள்.
28 This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: In the seventh year three thousand twenty-three Jews.
நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் நாடுகடத்திய மக்களின் எண்ணிக்கையாவது: அவன் ஆட்சி செய்த ஏழாம் வருடத்தில் 3,023 யூதர்களும்,
29 In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty-two persons.
நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் பதினெட்டாம் வருடத்தில் எருசலேமிலிருந்து 832 பேரும் கொண்டுசெல்லப்பட்டனர்.
30 In the twenty-third year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty-five persons. All the persons were four thousand six hundred.
நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் இருபத்தி மூன்றாம் வருடத்தில், 745 யூதர்கள் காவல் தளபதியான நேபுசராதானால் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் மொத்தமாக 4,600 பேர்.
31 And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison.
யூதா அரசன் யோயாக்கீன் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்ட முப்பத்தேழாம் வருடத்தில், ஏவில் மெரொதாக் பாபிலோனுக்கு அரசனானான், அவன் பன்னிரண்டாம் மாதம் இருபத்தைந்தாம் தேதி, யூதாவின் அரசன் யோயாக்கீனைச் சிறையிலிருந்து விடுதலை செய்தான்.
32 And he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
அவன் யோயாக்கீனுடன் அன்பாகப் பேசி, பாபிலோனில் தன்னோடிருந்த மற்ற அரசர்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் மேன்மையான இருக்கையை அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.
33 and changed his prison garments. And he ate bread before him continually all the days of his life.
அப்பொழுது யோயாக்கீன் தன் சிறைச்சாலை உடைகளை மாற்றி, மீதியான தன் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் அரசனுடைய பந்தியிலே தினமும் சாப்பிட்டான்.
34 And for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him by the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
யோயாக்கீனின் மரண நாள்வரை, உயிர்வாழ்ந்த நாளெல்லாம், பாபிலோன் அரசனால் அவனுக்கு நாள்தோறும் உதவிப்பணம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு வந்தது.
