Jeremiah 49

1 Concerning the sons of Ammon. Thus says Jehovah: Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Malcam possess Gad, and his people dwell in the cities thereof?

۱ درباره بنی عمون، خداوند چنین می گوید: «آیا اسرائیل پسران ندارد وآیا او را وارثی نیست؟ پس چرا ملکم جاد را به تصرف آورده و قوم او در شهرهایش ساکن شده‌اند؟

2 Therefore, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, and it shall become a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire. Then Israel shall possess those who possessed him, says Jehovah.

۲ لهذا اینک خداوند می‌گوید: ایامی می‌آید که نعره جنگ را در ربه بنی عمون خواهم شنوانید و تل ویران خواهد گشت و دهاتش به آتش سوخته خواهد شد. و خداوند می‌گوید که اسرائیل متصرفان خویش را به تصرف خواهدآورد.»

3 Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste. Cry, ye daughters of Rabbah. Gird you with sackcloth. Lament, and run to and fro among the fences. For Malcam shall go into captivity, his priests and his rulers together.

۳ ‌ای حشبون ولوله کن، زیرا که عای خراب شده است. ای دهات ربه فریاد برآورید وپلاس پوشیده، ماتم گیرید و بر حصارها گردش نمایید. زیرا که ملکم با کاهنان و سروران خود باهم به اسیری می‌روند.

4 Why do thou glory in the valleys, thy flowing valley? O backsliding daughter, who trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come to me?

۴ ‌ای دختر مرتد چرا ازوادیها یعنی وادیهای برومند خود فخرمی نمایی؟ ای تو که به خزاین خود توکل می‌نمایی (و می‌گویی ) کیست که نزد من تواندآمد؟

5 Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, from all who are round about thee. And ye shall be driven out every man straight forth, and there shall be none to gather together the fugitives.

۵ اینک خداوند یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: «من از جمیع مجاورانت خوف بر تو خواهم آوردو هر یکی از شما پیش روی خود پراکنده خواهدشد و کسی نخواهد بود که پراکندگان را جمع نماید.

6 But afterward I will bring back the captivity of the sons of Ammon, says Jehovah.

۶ لیکن خداوند می‌گوید: بعد از این اسیران بنی عمون را باز خواهم آورد.»

7 Of Edom. Thus says Jehovah of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?

۷ درباره ادوم یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: «آیا دیگر حکمت در تیمان نیست؟ و آیامشورت از فهیمان زایل شده و حکمت ایشان نابود گردیده است؟

8 Flee ye, turn back, dwell in the depths, O inhabitants of Dedan. For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I shall visit him.

۸ ‌ای ساکنان ددان بگریزید ورو تافته در جایهای عمیق ساکن شوید. زیرا که بلای عیسو و زمان عقوبت وی را بر او خواهم آورد.

9 If grape-gatherers came to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? If thieves by night, would they not destroy till they had enough?

۹ اگر انگورچینان نزد تو آیند، آیا بعضی خوشه‌ها را نمی گذارند؟ و اگر دزدان در شب (آیند)، آیا به قدر کفایت غارت نمی نمایند؟

10 But I have made Esau bare. I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself. His seed is destroyed, and his brothers, and his neighbors, and he is not.

۱۰ اما من عیسو را برهنه ساخته و جایهای مخفی او را مکشوف گردانیده‌ام که خویشتن را نتواندپنهان کرد. ذریت او و برادران و همسایگانش هلاک شده‌اند و خودش نابود گردیده است.

11 Leave thy fatherless sons; I will preserve them alive. And let thy widows trust in me.

۱۱ یتیمان خود را ترک کن و من ایشان را زنده نگاه خواهم داشت و بیوه‌زنانت بر من توکل بنمایند.

12 For thus says Jehovah: Behold, those to whom it did not pertain to drink of the cup shall assuredly drink. And are thou he who shall go altogether unpunished? Thou shall not go unpunished, but thou shall surely drink.

۱۲ زیرا خداوند چنین می‌گوید: اینک آنانی که رسم ایشان نبود که این‌جام را بنوشند، البته خواهند نوشید و آیا تو بی‌سزا خواهی ماند؟ بی‌سزا نخواهی ماند بلکه البته خواهی نوشید.

13 For I have sworn by myself, says Jehovah, that Bozrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse, and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.

۱۳ زیرا خداوند می‌گوید به ذات خودم قسم می‌خورم که بصره مورد دهشت و عار و خرابی ولعنت خواهد شد و جمیع شهرهایش خرابه ابدی خواهد گشت.

14 I have heard news from Jehovah. And an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.

۱۴ از جانب خداوند خبری شنیدم که رسولی نزد امت‌ها فرستاده شده، (می گوید): «جمع شوید و بر او هجوم آورید و برای جنگ برخیزید!

15 For, behold, I have made thee small among the nations, and despised among men.

۱۵ زیرا که هان من تو را کوچکترین امت‌ها و در میان مردم خوار خواهم گردانید.

16 As for thy formidableness, the pride of thy heart has deceived thee, O thou who dwells in the clefts of the rock, who holds the height of the hill. Though thou should make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from there, says Jehovah.

۱۶ ‌ای که در شکافهای صخره ساکن هستی و بلندی تلها را گرفته‌ای، هیبت تو و تکبر دلت تو رافریب داده است اگر‌چه مثل عقاب آشیانه خود رابلند بسازی، خداوند می‌گوید که من تو را از آنجافرود خواهم آورد.

17 And Edom shall become an astonishment. Everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues of it.

۱۷ و ادوم محل تعجب خواهد گشت به حدی که هرکه از آن عبور نمایدمتحیر شده، به‌سبب همه صدماتش صفیر خواهدزد.

18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, says Jehovah, no man shall dwell there, nor shall any son of man sojourn in it.

۱۸ خداوند می‌گوید: چنانکه سدوم و عموره و شهرهای مجاور آنها واژگون شده است، همچنان کسی در آنجا ساکن نخواهد شد واحدی از بنی آدم در آن ماوا نخواهد گزید.

19 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation. For I will suddenly make them run away from it. And he who is chosen, him I will appoint over it. For who is like me, and who will appoint a time for me, and who is the shepherd who will stand before me?

۱۹ اینک او مثل شیر از طغیان اردن به آن مسکن منیع برخواهد آمد، زیرا که من وی را در لحظه‌ای از آنجا خواهم راند. و کیست آن برگزیده‌ای که اورا بر آن بگمارم؟ زیرا کیست که مثل من باشد وکیست که مرا به محاکمه بیاورد و کیست آن شبانی که به حضور من تواند ایستاد؟»

20 Therefore hear ye the counsel of Jehovah that he has taken against Edom, and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock. Surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.

۲۰ بنابراین مشورت خداوند را که درباره ادوم نموده است و تقدیرهای او را که درباره ساکنان تیمان فرموده است بشنوید. البته ایشان صغیران گله را خواهند ربود و هر آینه مسکن ایشان رابرای ایشان خراب خواهد ساخت.

21 The earth trembles at the noise of their fall. There is a cry; the noise of it is heard in the Red Sea.

۲۱ از صدای افتادن ایشان زمین متزلزل گردید و آواز فریادایشان تا به بحر قلزم مسموع شد.

22 Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread out his wings against Bozrah. And the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

۲۲ اینک او مثل عقاب برآمده، پرواز می‌کند و بالهای خویش را بربصره پهن می‌نماید و دل شجاعان ادوم در آن روزمثل دل زنی که درد زه داشته باشد خواهد شد.

23 Of Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad, for they have heard evil news. They are melted away. There is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

۲۳ درباره دمشق: «حمات و ارفاد خجل گردیده‌اند زیرا که خبر بد شنیده، گداخته شده‌اند.

24 Damascus has grown feeble. She turns herself to flee, and trembling has seized on her. Anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.

۲۴ دمشق ضعیف شده، روبه فرار نهاده و لرزه او رادرگرفته است. آلام و دردها او را مثل زنی که می‌زاید گرفته است.

25 How is the city of praise not forsaken, the city of my joy?

۲۵ چگونه شهر نامور و قریه ابتهاج من متروک نشده است؟

26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, says Jehovah of hosts.

۲۶ لهذا یهوه صبایوت می‌گوید: جوانان او در کوچه هایش خواهند افتاد و همه مردان جنگی او در آن روزهلاک خواهند شد.

27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.

۲۷ و من آتش در حصارهای دمشق خواهم افروخت و قصرهای بنهدد راخواهد سوزانید.»

28 Of Kedar, and of the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote. Thus says Jehovah: Arise ye. Go up to Kedar, and destroy the sons of the east.

۲۸ درباره قیدار و ممالک حاصور که نبوکدرصر پادشاه بابل آنها را مغلوب ساخت، خداوند چنین می‌گوید: «برخیزید و برقیدارهجوم آورید و بنی مشرق را تاراج نمایید.

29 They shall take their tents and their flocks. They shall carry away for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels. And they shall cry to them, Terror on every side!

۲۹ خیمه‌ها و گله های ایشان را خواهند گرفت. پرده‌ها و تمامی اسباب و شتران ایشان را برای خویشتن خواهند برد و بر ایشان ندا خواهند دادکه خوف از هر طرف!

30 Flee ye. Wander far off. Dwell in the depths, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, says Jehovah. For Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against you, and has conceived a purpose against you.

۳۰ بگریزید و به زودی هرچه تمامتر فرار نمایید. ای ساکنان حاصور درجایهای عمیق ساکن شوید.» زیرا خداوندمی گوید: «نبوکدرصر پادشاه بابل به ضد شمامشورتی کرده و به خلاف شما تدبیری نموده است.

31 Arise, get you up to a nation that is at ease, that dwells without worry, says Jehovah, that has neither gates nor bars, that dwells alone.

۳۱ خداوند فرموده است که برخیزید و برامت مطمئن که در امنیت ساکن‌اند هجوم آورید. ایشان را نه دروازه‌ها و نه پشت بندها است و به تنهایی ساکن می‌باشند.

32 And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil. And I will scatter to all winds those who have the corners of their hair cut off. And I will bring their calamity from every side of them, says Jehovah.

۳۲ خداوند می‌گوید که شتران ایشان تاراج و کثرت مواشی ایشان غارت خواهد شد و آنانی را که گوشه های موی خود را می تراشند بسوی هر باد پراکنده خواهم ساخت وهلاکت ایشان را از هر طرف ایشان خواهم آورد.

33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling-place of jackals, a desolation forever. No man shall dwell there, nor shall any son of man sojourn therein.

۳۳ و حاصور مسکن شغالها و ویرانه ابدی خواهدشد به حدی که کسی در آن ساکن نخواهد گردیدو احدی از بنی آدم در آن ماوا نخواهد گزید.»

34 The word of Jehovah that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

۳۴ کلام خداوند درباره عیلام که بر ارمیا نبی در ابتدای سلطنت صدقیا پادشاه یهودا نازل شده، گفت:

35 Thus says Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

۳۵ «یهوه صبایوت چنین می‌گوید: اینک من کمان عیلام و مایه قوت ایشان را خواهم شکست.

36 And upon Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds. And there shall be no nation where the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

۳۶ و چهار باد را از چهار سمت آسمان بر عیلام خواهم وزانید و ایشان را بسوی همه این بادهاپراکنده خواهم ساخت به حدی که هیچ امتی نباشد که پراکندگان عیلام نزد آنها نیایند.

37 And I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before those who seek their life. And I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, says Jehovah. And I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.

۳۷ واهل عیلام را به حضور دشمنان ایشان و به حضورآنانی که قصد جان ایشان دارند مشوش خواهم ساخت. و خداوند می‌گوید که بر ایشان بلا یعنی حدت خشم خویش را وارد خواهم آورد وشمشیر را در عقب ایشان خواهم فرستاد تا ایشان را بالکل هلاک سازم.

38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from there king and rulers, says Jehovah.

۳۸ و خداوند می‌گوید: من کرسی خود را در عیلام برپا خواهم نمود وپادشاه و سروران را از آنجا نابود خواهم ساخت.

39 But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring back the captivity of Elam, says Jehovah.

۳۹ لیکن خداوند می‌گوید: در ایام آخر اسیران عیلام را باز خواهم آورد.»
