Jeremiah 24

1 Jehovah showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of Jehovah, after Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the rulers of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

೧ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಕೊನ್ಯನನ್ನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನೂ, ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕಮ್ಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆ ಒಯ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣು ತುಂಬಿದ ಎರಡು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು.

2 One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe, and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten they were so bad.

೨ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಮಾಗಿದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾದ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಫಲಗಳು ತುಂಬಿದ್ದವು. ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ತಿನ್ನದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟು ಕೇವಲ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತುಂಬಿದ್ದವು.

3 Then Jehovah said to me, What do thou see, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs. The good figs, very good, and the bad, very bad, that cannot be eaten they are so bad.

೩ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು, “ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನೇ, ಏನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೀ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ನಾನು, “ಅಂಜೂರದ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಉತ್ತಮ ಫಲಗಳು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾಗಿವೆ, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಫಲಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟಿವೆ, ಯಾರೂ ತಿನ್ನದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೇವಲ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು.

4 And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

೪ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು.

5 Thus says Jehovah, the God of Israel: Like these good figs, so I will regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, for good.

೫“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನಾನು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಸೆರೆಯವರಾದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಈ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಫಲಗಳಂತೆ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೇಲನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುವೆನು.

6 For I will set my eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. And I will build them, and not pull them down, and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

೬ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು, ಕೆಡವುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೆಡುವೆನು, ಕೀಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

7 And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Jehovah. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

೭ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂದು ಗ್ರಹಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾಗಿರುವರು, ನಾನು ಅವರ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವೆನು; ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವರು” ಎಂಬುದೇ.

8 And as the bad figs, which cannot be eaten they are so bad, surely thus says Jehovah: So will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his rulers, and the residue of Jerusalem, who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.

೮ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯ, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು, ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರ ಶೇಷ, ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಲಸೆಯಾದವರು, ಕೆಟ್ಟು ಯಾರೂ ತಿನ್ನದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೇವಲ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಗತಿಗೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ತರುವೆನು.

9 I will even give them up to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.

೯ಅವರ ಕೇಡಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೋಕದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಗ್ರಸ್ತರಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಡುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರು ನಿಂದೆ, ಕಟ್ಟುಗಾದೆ, ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ, ಶಾಪ, ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವರು.

10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave to them and to their fathers.

೧೦ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೂ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲರಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಖಡ್ಗ, ಕ್ಷಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
