Isaiah 64
1 Oh that thou would rend the heavens, that thou would come down, that the mountains might quake at thy presence,
ಆಹಾ, ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಳಿದು ಬಾ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಗಡಗಡನೆ ನಡುಗುವಂತೆಯೂ,
2 as when fire kindles the brushwood, and the fire causes the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
ಬೆಂಕಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಬೆಂಕಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಉಕ್ಕಿಸುವಂತೆಯೂ, ನೀನು ಇಳಿದುಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು!
3 When thou did fearful things which we did not look for, thou came down; the mountains quaked at thy presence.
ನಾವು ಎದುರು ನೋಡದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದೆ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಕರಗಿ ಹೋದವು.
4 For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, besides thee, what he has prepared for him who waits for him.
ದೇವರೇ, ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಲೋಕದ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ದೇವರೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರ ಕಿವಿಯೂ ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರ ಕಣ್ಣೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5 Thou meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember thee in thy ways. Behold, thou were angry, and we sinned. Therefore we have erred.
ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವವರನ್ನೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡುವವನನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಲು ಬರುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಆದರೂ ನಾವು ಪಾಪದಲ್ಲೇ ಮುನ್ನಡೆದೆವು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡಿರುವಿರಿ. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮಂಥವರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಇದೆಯೇ?
6 For we have all become as unclean, and all our righteous acts are as a polluted garment. And we all fade as a leaf. And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ನೀತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೈಲಿಗೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇವೆ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಎಲೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿವೆ.
7 And there is none who calls upon thy name, who stirs himself up to take hold of thee. For thou have hid thy face from us, and have consumed us through our iniquities.
ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವವನೂ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
8 But now, O Jehovah, thou are our Father. We are the clay, and thou our potter, and we are all the work of thy hand.
ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ನೀನೇ, ನಾವು ಮಣ್ಣು. ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಂಬಾರನು. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳು.
9 Be not angry very severely, O Jehovah, nor remember iniquity forever. Behold, look, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ. ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ನೋಡಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಬೇಡುತ್ತೇವೆ, ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಡಿರಿ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೇ.
10 Thy holy cities have become a wilderness. Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
ನಿನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಅಡವಿಯಾದವು. ಚೀಯೋನು ಅಡವಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು.
11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned with fire, and all our pleasant places are laid waste.
ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಶೃಂಗಾರವಾದ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು. ನಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ನಾಶವಾದವು.
12 Will thou restrain thyself for these things, O Jehovah? Will thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very severely?
ಇವು ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುತ್ತೀರೋ? ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುವಿರೋ?
