< Isaiah 52 >
1 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion. Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city. For henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
Ke ke ʻā, ke ke ʻā; ʻai ho mālohi, ʻE Saione; ʻai ho ngaahi kofu matamatalelei, ʻE Selūsalema, ʻae kolo māʻoniʻoni: koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai toe hū kiate koe ʻae taʻekamu mo e taʻemaʻa.
2 Shake thyself from the dust. Arise, sit up, O Jerusalem. Loose thyself from the bonds of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
Tupeʻi koe mei he efu; tuʻu hake, pea nofo hifo, ʻE Selūsalema: vete koe mei he ngaahi haʻi ʻo ho kia, ʻE ʻofefine pōpula ʻo Saione.
3 For thus says Jehovah: Ye were sold for nothing, and ye shall be redeemed without money.
He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Kuo mou fakatau ʻakimoutolu taʻehatotongi; pea ʻe huhuʻi ʻakimoutolu taʻehapaʻanga.
4 For thus says the lord Jehovah, My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there. And the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause.
He ʻoku pehē ʻe he ʻEiki ko Sihova, “Naʻe ʻalu hifo ʻi muʻa ʻa hoku kakai ki ʻIsipite ke nofo ai; pea naʻe fakamālohiʻi taʻetotonu ʻakinautolu ʻe he kakai ʻAsilia.
5 Now therefore, what do I do here, says Jehovah, seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them howl, says Jehovah, and because of you my name is continually blasphemed among the Gentiles.
“Pea ko eni,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, “Ko e hā ʻoku ou maʻu ni, koeʻuhi ʻoku ʻave taʻehanoʻuhinga ʻa hoku kakai? Ko kinautolu ʻoku pule kiate kinautolu ʻoku nau fakaioho mamahi ʻakinautolu, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, pea ʻoku kapea maʻu pe ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē ʻa hoku huafa.
6 Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he who speaks, Behold, it is I.
Ko ia ʻe ʻilo ai ʻa hoku huafa ʻe hoku kakai: Pea te nau ʻilo ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, Ko au ia ʻoku folofola. “Vakai, ko au ia.
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Thy God reigns!
Hono ʻikai fakaʻofoʻofa ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻae vaʻe ʻo ia ʻoku ʻomi ʻae ongoongolelei, ʻaia ʻoku fakahā ʻae melino; ʻaia ʻoku ʻomi ʻae ongoongolelei ʻoe lelei, mo ne fakahā ʻae fakamoʻui; ʻaia ʻoku pehē ki Saione, “ʻOku pule ʻa ho ʻOtua!”
8 The voice of thy watchmen! They lift up the voice; they sing together. For they shall see eye to eye, when Jehovah returns to Zion.
ʻE hiki hake ʻae leʻo ʻo ho kau tangata leʻo; pea ʻe fakataha honau leʻo ʻonau hiva: he te nau mamata ko e mata ki he mata, ʻoka toe ʻomi ʻe Sihova ʻa Saione.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem, for Jehovah has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.
Ke hā mai ʻi he fiefia, hiva fakataha, ʻakimoutolu ʻae ngaahi potu lala ʻo Selūsalema, he kuo fakafiemālieʻi ʻe Sihova ʻa hono kakai, kuo ne huhuʻi ʻa Selūsalema.
10 Jehovah has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Kuo fakahā ʻe Sihova ʻa hono nima ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē; pea ʻe mamata ʻe he ngaahi ngataʻanga kotoa pē ʻo māmani ʻae fakamoʻui ʻa hotau ʻOtua.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from there. Touch no unclean thing. Go ye out of the midst of her. Cleanse yourselves, ye who bear the vessels of Jehovah.
ʻAlu ʻakimoutolu, ʻalu ʻakimoutolu, mou ʻalu atu mei ai, ʻoua ʻe ala ki ha meʻa taʻemaʻa; ʻalu ʻakimoutolu mei he lotolotonga ʻo ia; ke maʻa ʻakimoutolu ʻoku mou fua ʻae ngaahi ipu ʻa Sihova.
12 For ye shall not go out in haste, nor shall ye go by flight. For Jehovah will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rearward.
Koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai te mou ʻalu atu fakavave, pe ʻalu ʻi he hola: he ko Sihova ʻe muʻomuʻa ʻiate kimoutolu; pea ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli ʻe muimui ʻiate kimoutolu.
13 Behold, my servant shall deal wisely. He shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
Vakai, ʻe fai fakapotopoto ʻa ʻeku tamaioʻeiki, ʻe hakeakiʻi ia pea fakaongolelei, pea te ne māʻolunga ʻaupito.
14 Just as many were astonished at thee (his visage was so marred, more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),
ʻO hangē naʻe ofo ʻae tokolahi kiate ia, he liliu ʻo kovi hono fofonga ʻo lahi hake ʻi he tangata kotoa pē, mo hono sino ʻo lahi hake ʻi he ngaahi foha ʻoe tangata.
15 so shall he sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at him. For that which had not been told them they shall see, and that which they had not heard they shall understand.
