Isaiah 38
1 In those days Hezekiah was sick to death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus says Jehovah, Set thy house in order, for thou shall die, and not live.
೧ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಮರಣಕರ ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಆಮೋಚನ ಮಗನೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಆದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಉಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah,
೨ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೊಡನೆ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.
3 and said, Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept greatly.
೩ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಾನು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಯಥಾರ್ಥಚಿತ್ತನಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನಗೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಾಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆನಪುಮಾಡಿಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತನು.
4 Then the word of Jehovah came to Isaiah, saying,
೪ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ,
5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus says Jehovah, the God of David thy father. I have heard thy prayer. I have seen thy tears. Behold, I will add to thy days fifteen years.
೫“ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಭುವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ, ‘ದಾವೀದನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
೬ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ, ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು, ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡುವೆನು.
7 And this shall be the sign to thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do this thing that he has spoken:
೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ನುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವನು ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವಿ.
8 Behold, I will cause the shadow on the steps, which has gone down on the dial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the dial on which it had gone down.
೮ಇಗೋ, ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಇಳಿತವನ್ನು ಆಹಾಜನ ಸೋಪಾನಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ನೆರಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು’ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅದರಂತೆ ಸೋಪಾನಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ನೆರಳು ಹತ್ತು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂತು.
9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:
೯ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ನಂತರ ಬರೆದದ್ದು.
10 I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years. (Sheol h7585)
೧೦ನನ್ನ ರೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು, “ನನ್ನ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾತಾಳ ದ್ವಾರಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದು ಉಳಿದ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ನನಗೆ ನಷ್ಟವಾದವು. (Sheol h7585)
11 I said, I shall not see Jehovah, even Jehovah in the land of the living. I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
೧೧ನಾನು ಇನ್ನು ಜೀವಲೋಕದವನಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಇನ್ನು ಭೂಲೋಕ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲಾರೆನು.
12 My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me as a shepherd's tent. I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night thou will make an end of me.
೧೨ನನ್ನ ಆಶ್ರಯವು ಕುರುಬನ ಗುಡಾರದಂತೆ ಕಿತ್ತು, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಆತನು ನನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯದ ಹಾಸನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೆಯಿಗೆಯವನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಉದಯದಿಂದ ಅಸ್ತಮಾನದೊಳಗೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೀ.
13 I quieted myself until morning. As a lion, so he breaks all my bones. From day even to night will thou make an end of me.
೧೩ನಾನು ಬೆಳಗಿನ ತನಕ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಇದ್ದೆನು. ಆತನು ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ಉದಯದಿಂದ ಅಸ್ತಮಾನದೊಳಗೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೀಯಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸಿದೆನು.
14 Like a swallow or a crane, so I chattered. I moaned as a dove. My eyes fail with looking upward. O Lord, I am oppressed, be thou my surety.
೧೪ನಾನು ಬಾನಕ್ಕಿಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಬಕದ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೀಚುಗುಟ್ಟಿದೆನು, ಪಾರಿವಾಳದಂತೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟೆನು, ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಾನು ಬಾಧೆಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯವಾಗು ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಕಂಗೆಟ್ಟೆನು.
15 What shall I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I shall go softly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.
೧೫ನಾನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅದರಂತೆ ತಾನೇ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ! ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೆಲ್ಲಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವೆನು.
16 O Lord, by these things men live, and wholly therein is the life of my spirit. Therefore recover thou me, and make me to live.
೧೬ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂಭವಗಳಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಗ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿ ಬದುಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness. But thou have by love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption. For thou have cast all my sins behind thy back.
೧೭ಆಹಾ, ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟ ದುಃಖವು ನನ್ನ ಸುಖಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಆಯಿತು, ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ನಾಶಕೂಪದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೇ. ನನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ.
18 For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee. Those who go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Sheol h7585)
೧೮ಪಾತಾಳದವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಸತ್ತವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೀರ್ತಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅಧೋಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದುಹೋದವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸತ್ಯ ಸಂಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. (Sheol h7585)
19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day. The father to the sons shall make known thy truth.
೧೯ಜೀವಂತನು, ಜೀವಂತನೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುವನು, ಹೌದು, ಜೀವಂತನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುವೆನು. ತಂದೆಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸತ್ಯಸಂಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವನು.
20 Jehovah is ready to save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of Jehovah.
೨೦ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣಾಪರನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಿನ್ನರಿ ವೀಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಸುವೆವು.”
21 Now Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster upon the boil, and he shall recover.
೨೧ಯೆಶಾಯನು, “ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಉಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ತರಿಸಿ ಹುಣ್ಣಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ ಅರಸನು ಗುಣಹೊಂದುವನು” ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
22 Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of Jehovah?
೨೨ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು, “ನಾನು ಗುಣಹೊಂದಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಸೇರುವೆನೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರುತೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನು.
