< Isaiah 26 >

1 In that day this song shall be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city. He will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni a ó kọ orin yìí ní ilẹ̀ Juda. Àwa ní ìlú alágbára kan, Ọlọ́run fi ìgbàlà ṣe ògiri àti ààbò rẹ̀.
2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps faith may enter in.
Ṣí àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn kí àwọn olódodo orílẹ̀-èdè kí ó lè wọlé, orílẹ̀-èdè tí ó pa ìgbàgbọ́ mọ́.
3 Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusts in thee.
Ìwọ yóò pa á mọ́ ní àlàáfíà pípé ọkàn ẹni tí ó dúró ṣinṣin, nítorí ó gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ọ.
4 Trust ye in Jehovah forever, for in Jehovah, even Jehovah, is an everlasting rock.
Gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Olúwa títí láé, nítorí Olúwa, Olúwa ni àpáta ayérayé náà.
5 For he has brought down those who dwell on high. The lofty city, he lays it low. He lays it low even to the ground. He brings it even to the dust.
Ó sọ àwọn tí ó ń gbé ní òkè di onírẹ̀lẹ̀ ó rẹ ìlú agbéraga náà nílẹ̀; ó sọ ọ́ di ilẹ̀ pẹrẹsẹ ó sì sọ ọ́ sílẹ̀ nínú erùpẹ̀.
6 The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.
Ẹsẹ̀ tẹ̀ ẹ́ mọ́lẹ̀ ẹsẹ̀ aninilára n nì, ipasẹ̀ àwọn òtòṣì.
7 The way of the just is uprightness. Thou who are upright directs the path of the just.
Ipa ọ̀nà àwọn olódodo tẹ́jú, ìwọ tó dúró ṣinṣin, ìwọ mú ọ̀nà àwọn olódodo ṣe geere.
8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited for thee, to thy name. Even to thy memorial, is the desire of our soul.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni, Olúwa, rírìn ní ọ̀nà òfin rẹ àwa dúró dè ọ́; orúkọ rẹ àti òkìkí rẹ àwọn ni ohun tí ọkàn wa ń fẹ́.
9 With my soul I have desired thee in the night. Yea, with my spirit within me I will seek thee earnestly. For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
Ọkàn mi ń pòùngbẹẹ̀ rẹ ní ọ̀gànjọ́ òru; ní òwúrọ̀ ni ẹ̀mí mi ń ṣàfẹ́rí rẹ. Nígbà tí ìdájọ́ rẹ bá sọ̀kalẹ̀ sórí ayé àwọn ènìyàn yóò kọ́ ìṣòdodo.
10 Let favor be shown to a wicked man, yet he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah.
Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé a fi oore-ọ̀fẹ́ hàn sí àwọn ìkà wọn kò kọ́ láti sọ òdodo; kódà ní ilẹ̀ àwọn tí ó dúró ṣinṣin wọ́n tẹ̀síwájú láti máa ṣe ibi wọn kò sì ka ọláńlá Olúwa sí.
11 Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, yet they do not see. But they shall see thy zeal for the people, and be put to shame. Yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.
Olúwa, ti gbé ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sókè ṣùgbọ́n àwọn kò rí i. Jẹ́ kí wọ́n rí ìtara rẹ fún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ kí ojú kí ó tì wọ́n; jẹ́ kí iná tí a fi pamọ́ fún àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ jó wọn run.
12 Jehovah, thou will ordain peace for us, for thou have also wrought all our works for us.
Olúwa, ìwọ fi àlàáfíà lélẹ̀ fún wa; ohun gbogbo tí a ti ṣe yọrí ìwọ ni ó ṣe é fún wa.
13 O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us, but by thee only we will make mention of thy name.
Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa, àwọn olúwa mìíràn lẹ́yìn rẹ ti jẹ ọba lé wa lórí, ṣùgbọ́n orúkọ rẹ nìkan ni àwa fi ọ̀wọ̀ fún.
14 Being dead, they shall not live. Being deceased, they shall not rise. Therefore thou have visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish.
Wọ́n ti kú báyìí, wọn ò sí láààyè mọ́; gbogbo ẹ̀mí tí ó ti kọjá lọ wọ̀nyí kò le dìde mọ́. Ìwọ jẹ́ wọ́n ní ìyà o sì sọ wọ́n di asán, ìwọ pa gbogbo ìrántí wọn rẹ́ pátápátá.
15 Thou have increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou have increased the nation. Thou are glorified. Thou have enlarged all the borders of the land.
Ìwọ ti mú orílẹ̀-èdè gbòòrò, Olúwa; ìwọ ti mú orílẹ̀-èdè bí sí i. Ìwọ ti gba ògo fún ara rẹ; ìwọ ti sún gbogbo àwọn ààlà ilẹ̀ sẹ́yìn.
16 Jehovah, in trouble they have visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
Olúwa, wọ́n wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ nínú ìpọ́njú wọn; nígbà tí ìbáwí rẹ wà lára wọn, wọ́n gbàdúrà kẹ́lẹ́kẹ́lẹ́.
17 As a woman with child, who draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain and cries out in her pangs, so we have been before thee, O Jehovah.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí obìnrin tí ó lóyún tí ó sì fẹ́rẹ̀ bímọ tí í rúnra tí ó sì ń sọkún nínú ìrora rẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ni àwa rí níwájú rẹ Olúwa.
18 We have been with child. We have been in pain. We have as it were brought forth wind. We have not wrought any deliverance in the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
Àwa wà nínú oyún, a wà nínú ìrora, ṣùgbọ́n, afẹ́fẹ́ ni a bí lọ́mọ. Àwa kò mú ìgbàlà wá sí ilẹ̀ ayé; àwa kọ́ ni a bí àwọn ènìyàn tí ó wà láyé.
19 Thy dead shall live. My dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye who dwell in the dust, for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn òkú yín yóò wà láààyè ara wọn yóò dìde. Ìwọ tí o wà nínú erùpẹ̀, dìde nílẹ̀ kí o sì ké igbe ayọ̀. Ìrì rẹ dàbí ìrì òwúrọ̀, ayé yóò bí àwọn òkú rẹ̀ lọ́mọ.
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors around thee. Hide thyself for a little moment until the indignation be passed over.
Ẹ lọ, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn mi, ẹ wọ ìyẹ̀wù yín lọ kí ẹ sì ti àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn lẹ́yìn yín, ẹ fi ara yín pamọ́ fún ìgbà díẹ̀ títí tí ìbínú rẹ̀ yóò fi rékọjá.
21 For, behold, Jehovah comes forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
Kíyèsi i, Olúwa ń jáde bọ̀ láti ibùgbé rẹ̀ láti jẹ àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ ayé ní ìyà fún ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn. Ayé yóò sì sọ àwọn ẹ̀jẹ̀ tí a ta sí orí rẹ̀; kì yóò sì fi àwọn tí a ti pa pamọ́ mọ́.
