Isaiah 24

1 Behold, Jehovah makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad the inhabitants of it.

൧യഹോവ ഭൂമിയെ നിർജ്ജനവും ശൂന്യവും ആക്കി കീഴ്മേൽ മറിക്കുകയും അതിലെ നിവാസികളെ ചിതറിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest, as with the servant, so with his master, as with the maid, so with her mistress, as with the buyer, so with the seller, as with the creditor, so with the debtor, as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.

൨ജനത്തിനും പുരോഹിതനും, ദാസനും യജമാനനും, ദാസിക്കും യജമാനത്തിക്കും, വാങ്ങുന്നവനും വില്‍ക്കുന്നവനും, കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നവനും കടം വാങ്ങുന്നവനും, പലിശ വാങ്ങുന്നവനും പലിശ കൊടുക്കുന്നവനും ഒരുപോലെ സംഭവിക്കും.

3 The earth shall be utterly emptied, and utterly laid waste, for Jehovah has spoken this word.

൩ഭൂമി അശേഷം നിർജ്ജനമായും കവർച്ചയായും പോകും; യഹോവയല്ലയോ ഈ വചനം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്.

4 The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.

൪ഭൂമി ദുഃഖിച്ചു വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു; ഭൂതലം ക്ഷയിച്ചു വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു;

5 The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants of it, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.

൫ഭൂമിയിലെ ഉന്നതന്മാർ ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകുന്നു. ഭൂമി അതിലെ നിവാസികളാൽ മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ പ്രമാണങ്ങളെ ലംഘിച്ചു ചട്ടത്തെ മറിച്ചു നിത്യനിയമത്തിനു ഭംഗം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

൬അതുകൊണ്ട് ഭൂമി ശാപഗ്രസ്തമായി അതിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവർ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഭൂവാസികൾ ദഹിച്ചുപോയി, ചുരുക്കം പേർ മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7 The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted do sigh.

൭പുതുവീഞ്ഞ് ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; മുന്തിരിവള്ളി വാടുന്നു; സന്തുഷ്ടമാനസന്മാരെല്ലാം നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നു.

8 The mirth of tambourine ceases. The noise of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.

൮തപ്പുകളുടെ ആനന്ദം നിന്നുപോകുന്നു; ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഘോഷം തീർന്നുപോകുന്നു; കിന്നരത്തിന്റെ ആനന്ദം ഇല്ലാതെയാകുന്നു.

9 They shall not drink wine with a song. Strong drink shall be bitter to those who drink it.

൯അവർ പാട്ടു പാടിക്കൊണ്ടു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുകയില്ല; മദ്യം കുടിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് അത് കയ്പായിരിക്കും.

10 The waste city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

൧൦ശൂന്യപട്ടണം ഇടിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്നു; ആർക്കും കടന്നു കൂടാത്തവിധം എല്ലാ വീടും അടഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11 There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.

൧൧വീഞ്ഞില്ലായ്കയാൽ വീഥികളിൽ നിലവിളികേൾക്കുന്നു; സന്തോഷം ഒക്കെ ഇരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തിലെ ആനന്ദം പൊയ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

12 Desolation is left in the city, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

൧൨പട്ടണത്തിൽ ശൂന്യത മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വാതിൽതകർന്നു നാശമായി കിടക്കുന്നു.

13 For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

൧൩ഒലിവു തല്ലുംപോലെയും മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിച്ചു തീർന്നിട്ട് കാലാ പെറുക്കുംപോലെയും ഭൂമിയുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ ജനതകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ സംഭവിക്കുന്നു.

14 These shall lift up their voice. They shall shout. For the majesty of Jehovah they cry aloud from the sea.

൧൪അവർ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ആർക്കും; യഹോവയുടെ മഹിമനിമിത്തം അവർ സമുദ്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഉറക്കെ ആർക്കും.

15 Therefore glorify ye Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea.

൧൫അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ കിഴക്ക് യഹോവയെയും സമുദ്രദ്വീപികളില്‍ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെയും മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തുവിൻ.

16 From the outermost part of the earth we have heard songs. Glory to the righteous. But I said, I pine away, I pine away. Woe is me! The treacherous have dealt treacherously, yea, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.

൧൬“നീതിമാന് മഹത്ത്വം” എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നു കീർത്തനം പാടുന്നതു ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു; ഞാനോ: “എനിക്ക് ക്ഷയം, എനിക്ക് ക്ഷയം, എനിക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. “ദ്രോഹികൾ ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ദ്രോഹികൾ മഹാദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു”.

17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

൧൭ഭൂവാസിയേ, പേടിയും കുഴിയും കെണിയും നിനക്ക് നേരിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

18 And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit, and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

൧൮പേടി കേട്ട് ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നവൻ കുഴിയിൽ വീഴും; കുഴിയിൽനിന്നു കയറുന്നവൻ കെണിയിൽ അകപ്പെടും; ഉയരത്തിലെ കിളിവാതിലുകൾ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ കുലുങ്ങുന്നു.

19 The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.

൧൯ഭൂമി പൊടുപൊടെ പൊട്ടുന്നു; ഭൂമി കിറുകിറെ കീറുന്നു; ഭൂമി കിടുകിട കിടുങ്ങുന്നു.

20 The earth shall stagger like a drunken man, and shall sway to and fro like a hammock. And the transgression of it shall be heavy upon it, and it shall fall, and not rise again.

൨൦ഭൂമി മദ്യപനെപ്പോലെ ചാഞ്ചാടുന്നു; കാവൽമാടംപോലെ ആടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ അകൃത്യം അതിന്മേൽ ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അത് വീഴും, എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുകയുമില്ല.

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

൨൧ആ നാളിൽ യഹോവ ഉയരത്തിൽ ഉന്നതന്മാരുടെ സൈന്യത്തെയും ഭൂമിയിൽ ഭൂരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ശിക്ഷിക്കും.

22 And they shall be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison. And after many days they shall be visited.

൨൨കുണ്ടറയിൽ തടവുകാരെപ്പോലെ അവരെ ഒന്നിച്ച് കൂട്ടി കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ അടയ്ക്കുകയും ഏറിയനാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവരെ സന്ദർശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, for Jehovah of hosts will reign in mount Zion and in Jerusalem. And glory shall be before his elders.

൨൩സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും വാഴുകയാലും അവന്‍ തന്റെ തേജസ്സ് മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുകയാലും ചന്ദ്രൻ നാണിക്കുകയും സൂര്യൻ ലജ്ജിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
