Isaiah 21
1 The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from a terrible land.

2 A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, O Elam. Besiege, O Media, all the sighing of it I have made to cease.
Kai taengah mangthui neh mangkhak la ha puen. Hnukpoh long tah hnukpoh coeng tih rhoelrhak long khaw rhoelrhak coeng. Elam te paan laeh, Madai te dum laeh. A hueinah boeih te ka duem sak ni.
3 Therefore my loins are filled with anguish. Pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail. I am pained so that I cannot hear. I am dismayed so that I cannot see.
Te dongah ka cinghen he tloh kah a thueknah khaw cung coeng. Ca om vaengkah a tloh bangla kai n'tuuk. Ka yaak nen khaw ka paihaeh tih ka hmuh nawn khaw ka let coeng.
4 My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling to me.
Tuennah loh kai n'let sak tih ka thinko ah kho a hmang. Ka huengaihnah hlaemhmah te kai ham tah thuennah la poeh.
5 They prepare the table, they set the watch, they eat, they drink. Rise up, ye rulers, anoint the shield.
Caboei te a tloeng. Tlak te doh saeh, mangpa rhoek te ca saeh, o saeh lamtah thoo saeh. photling te koelh saeh.
6 For thus has the Lord said to me, Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.
Te dongah Boeipa loh kai taengah, “Cet laeh, rhaltawt te pai saeh lamtah a hmuh te ha puen saeh,” a ti.
7 and when he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed.
Leng, marhang caem tarhoi, laak leng, kalauk leng a hmuh vaengah a hnatungnah a yet neh a hnatungnah te hnatung saeh.
8 And he cried out as a lion, O Lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and am set in my ward whole nights,
Te phoeiah rhaltoengim kah sathueng loh, “Ka boeipa, kai khothaih puet ka pai tih ka mueitung dongah khoyin puet ka pai bal.
9 and, behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs. And he answered and said, Fallen, fallen is Babylon. And all the graven images of her gods are broken to the ground.
Tedae marhang caem tarhoi kah hlang te leng neh ha pawk coeng he,” tila pang. Te phoeiah a doo tih, “Cungku coeng, Babylon neh a pathen mueidaep tah boeih cungku coeng tih diklai dongah phaeng rhek coeng.
10 O my threshing, and the grain of my floor! That which I have heard from Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, I have declared to you.
Ka cangtil neh ka cangtilhmuen kah ka ca taengah Israel Pathen caempuei BOEIPA taeng lamkah ka yaak te ni nangmih taengah ka puen.
11 The burden of Dumah. He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
Seir lamloh kai aka khue Dumah olrhuh loh, “Khoyin kah aka tawt khaw melae? khoyin kah aka tawt khaw balae? a ti.
12 The watchman said, The morning comes, and also the night. If ye will inquire, inquire ye; turn ye back, come.
Aka tawt loh, “Mincang halo tih hlaemmuei ah na yam khaw na yam vetih na lo khaw na lo uh aih sue,” a ti.
13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia ye shall lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanites.
Arabia ham olrhuh, Arabia duup ah naka rhaeh Dedanim lambong rhoek.
14 To him who was thirsty they brought water. The inhabitants of the land of Tema met the fugitives with their bread.
Tuihalh doe ham te Tema kho kah khosa rhoek loh tui hang khuen saeh, amah buh neh aka doe rhoek khaw yong coeng.
15 For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
cunghang taeng lamloh, cunghang aka bong mikhmuh lamloh, lii aka phu kah mikhmuh lamloh, caemtloek hnorhih kah mikhmuh lamloh yong uh.
16 For thus the Lord has said to me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall fail.
Te dongah Boeipa loh kai taengah, “Kum khat khuiah kutloh kum kah bangla om vetih Kedar kah a thangpomnah khaw boeih bawt ni.
17 And the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the sons of Kedar, shall be few. For Jehovah, the God of Israel, has spoken it.
Kedar ca khuikah hlangrhalh lii pom te amah tarhing ah aka sueng khaw Israel Pathen Yahovah loh a thui coeng dongah polpai uh ni,” a ti.
