< Isaiah 20 >
1 In the year that Tartan came to Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it,
Le ƒe si me Asiria fia Sargon dɔ eƒe aʋafiagã ɖe Filistitɔwo ƒe du, Asdod me, eye wòwɔ aʋa kplii hexɔe la,
2 at that time Jehovah spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go, and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put thy shoe from off thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
ɣe ma ɣi Yehowa gblɔ na Amoz ƒe vi, Yesaya, be, “Ɖe wò akpanya si nèta la da ɖi, eye nàɖe afɔkpawo le wò afɔ.” Ale Yesaya wɔ nenema; eɖe amama, eye wònɔ afɔ ƒuƒlu zɔm nɔ yiyim.
3 And Jehovah said, Just as my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and a wonder concerning Egypt and concerning Ethiopia,
Yehowa gblɔ be, “Abe ale si nye dɔla Yesaya si le afɔ ƒuƒlu zɔm ƒe etɔ̃ sɔŋ ene, nu si nye dzesi kple kpɔɖeŋu na Egipte kple Kus la,
4 so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt, and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
nenema ke Asiria fia aɖe aboyo Egipte kple Kus, aɖe amewo, ɖeviwo kple tsitsiawo siaa be woatsɔ ado ŋukpe Egipte,
5 And they shall be dismayed and confounded because of Ethiopia their confidence, and of Egypt their glory.
Ame siwo ɖo ŋu ɖe Kus ŋu, eye wotsɔa Egipte ƒoa adegbee la, woavɔ, eye ŋu akpe wo.
6 And the inhabitant of this coastland shall say in that day, Behold, such is our trust, where we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria. And we, how shall we escape?
Le ɣe ma ɣi la, ame siwo le ƒuta afi sia la agblɔ be, mikpɔ nu si va dzɔ ɖe ame siwo miesina tsona be woaxɔ na mi le Asiria ƒe asi me la dzi ɖa. Ke azɔ la, aleke miawɔ asi?”
