Isaiah 13
1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.
Pezo de Babylonia, que viu Isaias, filho de Amós.
2 Set ye up an ensign upon the bare mountain. Lift up the voice to them. Wave the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
Alçae uma bandeira sobre um alto monte, levantae a voz a elles: movei a mão em alto, para que entrem pelas portas dos principes.
3 I have commanded my consecrated ones, yea, I have called my mighty men for my anger, even my proudly exulting ones.
Já eu passei ordens aos meus sanctificados: já tambem chamei aos meus valentes para minha ira, os quaes são exaltados na minha magestade.
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, as of a great people! The noise of a tumult of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together! Jehovah of hosts is mustering the army for the battle.
Já se ouve a voz de arroido sobre os montes, como de muito povo: a voz do reboliço de reinos e de nações já congregadas. O Senhor dos Exercitos passa a mostra do exercito de guerra.
5 They come from a far country, from the outermost part of heaven, even Jehovah, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
Já vem da terra de longe desde a extremidade do céu, assim o Senhor, como os instrumentos da sua indignação, para destruir toda aquella terra.
6 Wail ye, for the day of Jehovah is at hand. It shall come as destruction from the Almighty.
Uivae, pois, porque o dia do Senhor já está perto: já vem como assolação do Todo-poderoso.
7 Therefore all hands shall be feeble, and every heart of man shall melt.
Pelo que todas as mãos se debilitarão, e o coração de todos os homens se desanimará.
8 And they shall be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows shall take hold. They shall be in pain as a woman in travail. They shall look in amazement one at another, their faces, faces of flame.
E assombrar-se-hão, e apoderar-se-hão d'elles dôres e ais, e se angustiarão, como a mulher com dores de parto; cada um se espantará do seu proximo; os seus rostos serão rostos flammejantes.
9 Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation, and to destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Eis que o dia do Senhor vem, horrendo, com furor e ira ardente, para pôr a terra em assolação, e destruir os peccadores d'ella.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations of it shall not give their light. The sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not cause its light to shine.
Porque as estrellas dos céus e os seus astros não luzirão com a sua luz: o sol se escurecerá em nascendo, e a lua não resplandecerá com a sua luz.
11 And I will punish the world for the evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. And I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
Porque visitarei sobre o mundo a maldade, e sobre os impios a sua iniquidade: e farei cessar a arrogancia dos atrevidos, e abaterei a soberba dos tyrannos.
12 I will make a man more rare than fine gold, even a man than the pure gold of Ophir.
Farei que um homem seja mais precioso do que o oiro puro, e um homem mais do que o oiro fino d'Ophir.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens to tremble, and the earth shall be shaken out of its place, in the wrath of Jehovah of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Pelo que farei estremecer os céus; e a terra se moverá do seu logar, por causa do furor do Senhor dos Exercitos, e por causa do dia da sua ardente ira.
14 And it shall come to pass, that as the chased roe, and as sheep that no man gathers, they shall turn every man to his own people, and shall flee every man to his own land.
E cada um será como a corça que foge, e como a ovelha que ninguem recolhe: cada um voltará para o seu povo, e cada um fugirá para a sua terra.
15 Everyone who is found shall be thrust through, and everyone who is taken shall fall by the sword.
Qualquer que fôr achado será traspassado; e qualquer que se ajuntar com elle cairá á espada.
16 Their infants also shall be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses shall be rifled, and their wives ravished.
E suas creanças serão despedaçadas perante os seus olhos: as suas casas serão saqueadas, e as suas mulheres forçadas.
17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who shall not regard silver, and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
Eis que eu despertarei contra elles os médos, que não farão caso da prata, nem tão pouco desejarão oiro
18 And their bows shall dash the young men in pieces. And they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
E os seus arcos despedaçarão os mancebos, e não se compadecerão do fructo do ventre; o seu olho não poupará aos filhos.
19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Assim será Babylonia, o ornamento dos reinos, a gloria e a soberba dos chaldeos, como Sodoma e Gomorrha, quando Deus as transtornou.
20 It shall never be inhabited, nor shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation. Neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there, nor shall shepherds make their flocks to lie down there.
Nunca mais haverá habitação n'ella, nem se habitará de geração em geração: nem o arabe armará ali a sua tenda, nem tão pouco os pastores ali farão as suas malhadas.
21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there, and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures. And ostriches shall dwell there, and wild goats shall dance there.
Mas as bestas feras do deserto repousarão ali, e as suas casas se encherão de horriveis animaes: e ali habitarão as avestruzinhas, e os satyros pularão ali
22 And wolves shall cry in their castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. And her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
E as bestas feras que uivam se apuparão umas ás outras nos seus palacios vazios, como tambem os dragões nos seus palacios de prazer; pois bem perto já vem chegando o seu tempo, e os seus dias se não prolongarão.
