Isaiah 12

1 And in that day thou shall say, I will give thanks to thee, O Jehovah, for though thou were angry with me. Thine anger is turned away and thou comfort me.

Tu dirai in quel giorno: «Ti ringrazio, Signore; tu eri in collera con me, ma la tua collera si è calmata e tu mi hai consolato.

2 Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid, for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation.

Ecco, Dio è la mia salvezza; io confiderò, non temerò mai, perché mia forza e mio canto è il Signore; egli è stato la mia salvezza.

3 Therefore with joy ye shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Attingerete acqua con gioia alle sorgenti della salvezza».

4 And in that day ye shall say, Give thanks to Jehovah. Call upon his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Make mention that his name is exalted.

In quel giorno direte: «Lodate il Signore, invocate il suo nome; manifestate tra i popoli le sue meraviglie, proclamate che il suo nome è sublime.

5 Sing to Jehovah, for he has done excellent things. Let this be known in all the earth.

Cantate inni al Signore, perché ha fatto cose grandiose, ciò sia noto in tutta la terra.

6 Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion, for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.

Gridate giulivi ed esultate, abitanti di Sion, perché grande in mezzo a voi è il Santo di Israele».
