Isaiah 10

1 Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write perverseness,

൧ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുവാനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ എളിയവരുടെ അവകാശം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുവാനും വിധവമാർ അവർക്ക് കൊള്ളയായിത്തീരുവാനും അനാഥന്മാരെ അവർക്ക് ഇരയാക്കുവാനും തക്കവിധം

2 to turn aside the needy from justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

൨നീതികെട്ട ചട്ടം നിയമിക്കുന്നവർക്കും അനർത്ഥം എഴുതിവയ്ക്കുന്ന എഴുത്തുകാർക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory?

൩സന്ദർശനദിവസത്തിലും ദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് വരുന്ന വിനാശത്തിങ്കലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിനായിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ആരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിപ്പോകും? നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്ത്വം നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ വച്ചുകൊള്ളും?

4 They shall only bow down under the prisoners, and shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

൪അവർ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കീഴിൽ കുനിയുകയും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ കീഴിൽ വീഴുകയും ചെയ്യുകയേയുള്ളു. ഇതെല്ലാംകൊണ്ടും അവിടുത്തെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവിടുത്തെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.

5 Ho, Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!

൫“എന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കോലായ അശ്ശൂരിന് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അവരുടെ കൈയിലെ വടി എന്റെ ക്രോധം ആകുന്നു.

6 I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people of my wrath. I will give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

൬ഞാൻ അവനെ അശുദ്ധമായ ഒരു ജനതക്കു നേരെ അയയ്ക്കും; എന്റെ ക്രോധം വഹിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിനു വിരോധമായി ഞാൻ അവന് കല്പന കൊടുക്കും; അവരെ കൊള്ളയിടുവാനും കവർച്ച ചെയ്യുവാനും തെരുവീഥിയിലെ ചെളിയെപ്പോലെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുവാനും തന്നെ.

7 However he does not so reason, nor does his heart so think, but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.

൭അശ്ശൂരോ അങ്ങനെയല്ല നിരൂപിക്കുന്നത്; തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അങ്ങനെയല്ല വിചാരിക്കുന്നത്; നശിപ്പിക്കുവാനും അനേകം ജനതകളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുവാനുമാകുന്നു അവന്റെ താത്പര്യം.

8 For he says, Are not my rulers all of them kings?

൮അവൻ പറയുന്നത്: ‘എന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരല്ലയോ?

9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?

൯കല്നോ കർക്കെമീശിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ഹമാത്ത് അർപ്പാദിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ? ശമര്യ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനെപ്പോലെയല്ലയോ?

10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images excelled those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,

൧൦യെരൂശലേമിലും ശമര്യയിലും ഉള്ളവയെക്കാൾ വിശേഷമായ ബിംബങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മിഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കൈ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കെ,

11 shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

൧൧ഞാൻ ശമര്യയോടും അതിലെ മിഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്യുകയില്ലയോ?’”

12 Therefore it shall come to pass, that, when the Lord has performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

൧൨അതുകൊണ്ട് കർത്താവ് സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെല്ലാം തീർത്തശേഷം, “ഞാൻ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരമുള്ള ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെയും അവന്റെ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയെയും സന്ദർശിക്കും.

13 For he has said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. And I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. And like a valiant man I have brought down those who sit on thrones.

൧൩‘എന്റെ കൈയുടെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടും എന്റെ ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്തു; ഞാൻ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ; ഞാൻ ജനതകളുടെ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുകയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ കവർന്നുകളയുകയും പരാക്രമിയെപ്പോലെ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥന്മാരെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

14 And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the peoples. And like a gathering of eggs that are forsaken, I have gathered all the earth. And there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.

൧൪എന്റെ കൈ ജനതകളുടെ ധനത്തെ ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടിനെപ്പോലെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചു; ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ മുട്ടകളെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഞാൻ സർവ്വഭൂമിയെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു; ചിറക് അനക്കുകയോ ചുണ്ടു തുറക്കുകയോ ചിലയ്ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുവാൻ ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല’ എന്ന് അവൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ”.

15 Shall the axe boast itself against him who hews with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him who is not wood.

൧൫വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? അറുക്കുന്നവനോട് ഈർച്ചവാൾ വലിപ്പം കാട്ടുമോ? അതോ, വടിപിടിക്കുന്നവനെ വടി പൊക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ കോൽ ഉയർത്തുന്നതുപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

16 Therefore will the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, send among his fat ones, leanness, and under his glory there shall be kindled a burning like the burning of fire.

൧൬അതുകൊണ്ട് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് അവന്റെ തടിച്ചുകൊഴുത്തവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ക്ഷയം അയയ്ക്കും; അവന്റെ മഹത്ത്വത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ തീ കത്തുംപോലെ ഒന്ന് കത്തും.

17 And the light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame, and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.

൧൭യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവം ഒരു തീയായും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും ഇരിക്കും; അത് കത്തി, ഒരു ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ മുള്ളുകളും മുൾച്ചെടികളും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

18 And he will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. And it shall be as when a standard-bearer faints.

൧൮അവൻ അവന്റെ കാടിന്റെയും തോട്ടത്തിന്റെയും മഹത്ത്വത്തെ ദേഹിദേഹവുമായി നശിപ്പിക്കും; അത് ഒരു രോഗി ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നത് പോലെയിരിക്കും.

19 And the remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child may write them.

൧൯അവന്റെ കാട്ടിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ ചുരുക്കം ആയിരിക്കും; ഒരു ബാലന് അവയെ എണ്ണി എഴുതാം.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and those who are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean upon him who smote them, but shall lean upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

൨൦ആ നാളിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരും യാക്കോബ് ഗൃഹത്തിലെ രക്ഷിതഗണവും അവരെ അടിച്ചവനെ ഇനി ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയെ പരമാർത്ഥമായി ആശ്രയിക്കും.

21 A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

൨൧ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മടങ്ങിവരും (ശെയാർ-യാശൂബ്); യാക്കോബിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു വീരനാം ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവരും.

22 For though thy people, Israel, be as the sand of the sea, a remnant of them shall return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.

൨൨യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ ജനം കടല്ക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ ആയിരുന്നാലും അതിൽ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പു മാത്രം മടങ്ങിവരും; നീതി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന സംഹാരം നിർണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

23 For a full end, and that determined, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will make in the midst of all the earth.

൨൩എങ്ങനെ എന്നാൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് സർവ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ നിർണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംഹാരം വരുത്തും.

24 Therefore thus says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, O my people who dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian, though he smites thee with the rod, and lifts up his staff against thee, according to the manner of Egypt.

൨൪അതുകൊണ്ട് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “സീയോനിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനമേ, അശ്ശൂർ വടികൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ അടിക്കുകയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ രീതിയിൽ നിന്റെനേരെ ചൂരൽ ഓങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്താലും നീ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടണ്ടാ.

25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and my anger is to his destruction.

൨൫ഇനി അല്പസമയം കഴിഞ്ഞ് എന്റെ ക്രോധവും അവരുടെ സംഹാരത്തോടെ എന്റെ കോപവും തീർന്നുപോകും”.

26 And Jehovah of hosts will stir up against him a scourge as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. And his rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up according to the manner of Egypt.

൨൬ഓറേബ് പാറയ്ക്കരികിൽ വച്ചുള്ള മിദ്യാന്‍റെ സംഹാരത്തിൽ എന്നപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവന്റെനേരെ ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടി പൊക്കും; അവിടുന്ന് തന്റെ വടി സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേൽ നീട്ടും; മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനെ ഓങ്ങും.

27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of fatness.

൨൭ആ നാളിൽ അവന്റെ ചുമട് നിന്റെ തോളിൽനിന്നും അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽനിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും; അഭിഷേകതൈലം നിമിത്തം നുകം തകർന്നുപോകും.

28 He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he lays up his baggage.

൨൮അവൻ അയ്യാത്തിൽ എത്തി, മിഗ്രോനിൽകൂടി കടന്നു; മിക്മാശിൽ തന്റെ പടക്കോപ്പു വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

29 They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.

൨൯അവർ ചുരം കടന്നു; ഗേബയിൽ രാത്രിപാർത്തു; രാമ നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ശൌലിന്റെ ഗിബെയാ ഓടിപ്പോയി.

30 Cry aloud with thy voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laishah! O thou poor Anathoth!

൩൦ഗല്ലീംപുത്രീ, ഉറക്കെ നിലവിളിക്കുക; ലയേശേ, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേൾക്കുക; അനാഥോത്തേ, ഉത്തരം പറയുക.

31 Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.

൩൧മദ്മേനാ പലായനം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഗെബീംനിവാസികൾ രക്ഷക്കായി ഓടുന്നു.

32 This very day he shall halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

൩൨ഇന്ന് അവൻ നോബിൽ താമസിക്കും; യെരൂശലേംഗിരിയായ സീയോൻപുത്രിയുടെ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ നേരെ അവൻ കൈ കുലുക്കുന്നു.

33 Behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will lop off the boughs with terror. And the high of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be brought low.

൩൩സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് ശിഖരങ്ങളെ ഭയങ്കരമായി മുറിച്ചുകളയും; പൊക്കത്തിൽ വളർന്നവയെ അവൻ വെട്ടിയിടുകയും ഉയർന്നവയെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

34 And he will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

൩൪അവൻ വനത്തിലെ കുറ്റിക്കാടുകളെ ഇരിമ്പായുധംകൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; ലെബാനോനും സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്റെ കയ്യാൽ വീണുപോകും.
