Hosea 14

1 O Israel, return to Jehovah thy God, for thou have fallen by thine iniquity.

Converte-te, ó Israel, ao SENHOR teu Deus; pois caíste por tua maldade.

2 Take with you words, and return to Jehovah. Say to him, Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good. So we will render as bullocks the offering of our lips.

Tomai convosco palavras, e convertei-vos ao SENHOR; dizei-lhe: Tira toda a maldade, e aceita o que é bom; então ofereceremos nossos lábios como bezerros.

3 Assyria shall not save us. We will not ride upon horses, nor will we say any more to the work of our hands, Our gods. For in thee the fatherless finds mercy.

Os assírios não nos salvarão; não cavalgaremos sobre cavalos, e nunca mais chamaremos à obra de nossas mãos de nossos deuses; porque em ti o órfão alcançará misericórdia.

4 I will heal their backsliding. I will love them freely. For my anger is turned away from him.

Eu curarei sua rebelião, eu os amarei voluntariamente, porque minha ira terá se afastado deles.

5 I will be as the dew to Israel. He shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

Eu serei a Israel como o orvalho; ele florescerá como lírio, e estenderá suas raízes como o [cedro do] Líbano.

6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

Seus ramos se estenderão; sua beleza como a da oliveira, e sua fragrância como o [cedro do] Líbano.

7 Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive as the grain, and blossom as the vine. The scent of it shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

Voltarão, e habitarão abaixo de sua sombra: serão vivificados [como] o trigo, e florescerão como a videira; sua fama será como o vinho do Líbano.

8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him. I am like a green fir tree. From me thy fruit is found.

Ó Efraim, o que mais eu tenho a ver com os ídolos? Eu o responderei, e dele cuidarei; serei a ele como a faia verde; de mim vem o teu fruto.

9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things, prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them. But transgressors shall fall therein.

Quem é sábio entenda estas coisas, e o prudente as reconheça; porque os caminhos do SENHOR são retos, e os justos andarão neles; mas os transgressores neles cairão.
