Hebrews 8
1 Now a summation about the things being spoken is, we have such a high priest who was seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
നമ്മുടെ ചർച്ചയുടെ സാരം ഇതാണ്: പരമോന്നതങ്ങളിൽ മഹത്ത്വമേറിയ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് ഉപവിഷ്ടനായ ഒരു മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ നമുക്കുണ്ട്.
2 a minister of the holy things, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord erected and not man.
ആ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്ത്—മനുഷ്യനല്ല, കർത്താവുതന്നെ സ്ഥാപിച്ച യഥാർഥമായ കൂടാരത്തിൽ—ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്ന ആളാണ്.
3 For every high priest is appointed in order to offer both gifts and sacrifices, whereupon it is necessary for this man also to have something that he may offer.
വഴിപാടുകളും യാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിക്കാനാണ് ഓരോ മഹാപുരോഹിതനും നിയമിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്, ഈ മഹാപുരോഹിതനും യാഗാർപ്പണം നടത്തേണ്ട ആളാണ്.
4 For certainly if he were on earth, he would not even be a priest, there being the priests who offer the gifts according to the law,
ഭൂമിയിലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പുരോഹിതനാകുമായിരുന്നില്ല, കാരണം, ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരമുള്ള വഴിപാടുകൾ അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
5 who serve for an example and shadow of the heavenly things. Just as Moses who was divinely warned while going to complete the tabernacle, for he says, See thou make all things according to the pattern that was shown thee on the mountain.
അവർ സ്വർഗത്തിലുള്ളതിന്റെ നിഴലും സാദൃശ്യവുമായതിൽ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നു. മോശ സമാഗമകൂടാരം പണിയാനാരംഭിച്ചപ്പോൾ (ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്ന്) തനിക്കു ലഭിച്ച നിർദേശം, “പർവതത്തിൽവെച്ച് ഞാൻ നിനക്കു കാണിച്ചുതന്ന അതേ മാതൃകപ്രകാരം സകലതും കൃത്യമായി നിർമിക്കുക” എന്നാണ്.
6 But now he has obtained a superior ministry, by so much as he is also the mediator of a superior covenant, which has been enacted upon superior promises.
പഴയതിലും മാഹാത്മ്യമേറിയതാണ് യേശുവിന് ഇപ്പോൾ ലഭിച്ച ശുശ്രൂഷ. പുതിയ ഉടമ്പടി അധിഷ്ഠിതമായിരിക്കുന്നത് ശ്രേഷ്ഠതരങ്ങളായ വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളിന്മേൽ ആകയാൽ പഴയതിലും മാഹാത്മ്യമേറിയ ഒരു ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ മധ്യസ്ഥനാണ് അദ്ദേഹം.
7 For if that first one was faultless, no place would have been sought for a second.
എന്നാൽ, ഒന്നാംഉടമ്പടി കുറ്റമറ്റതായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഉടമ്പടിക്ക് സാംഗത്യം ഉണ്ടാകുമായിരുന്നില്ലല്ലോ?
8 For, finding fault with them, he says, Behold, the days come, says the Lord, and I will perfect a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
അവരിൽ കുറ്റം ആരോപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു കർത്താവ് ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ ഇസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തോടും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തോടും പുതിയൊരു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്യുന്ന കാലം വരുന്നു, എന്ന്, കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by my hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. Because they did not continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.
ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പൂർവികരെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് സ്വതന്ത്രരാക്കാനായി കൈക്കുപിടിച്ചു പുറത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോൾ ചെയ്ത ഉടമ്പടിപോലെയുള്ളത് അല്ലായിരിക്കും ഇത്. അവർ എന്റെ ഉടമ്പടിയോടു വിശ്വസ്തതപുലർത്താതിരുന്നതിനാൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ തിരസ്കരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. എന്നു കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
10 Because this is the covenant that I will ordain with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord, giving my laws into their mind, and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be to them for a God, and they will be to me for a people.
ഇതാകുന്നു ആ കാലത്തിനുശേഷം ഞാൻ ഇസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തോടു ചെയ്യാനിരിക്കുന്ന ഉടമ്പടി ഇപ്രകാരമായിരിക്കും: ഞാൻ എന്റെ നിയമങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ മനസ്സിന്റെയുള്ളിൽ സ്ഥാപിക്കും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽത്തന്നെ അവ ആലേഖനംചെയ്യും. ഞാൻ അവർക്കു ദൈവവും അവർ എനിക്കു ജനവും ആയിരിക്കും.
11 And they will, no, not teach each man his fellow citizen, and each man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, because all will know me, from their small as far as their great.
ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും അവർ അവരവരുടെ അയൽക്കാരോടോ പരസ്പരമോ ‘കർത്താവിനെ അറിയുക’ എന്ന് ഉപദേശിക്കുകയില്ല. കാരണം അവർ എല്ലാവരും എന്നെ അറിയും; ഏറ്റവും താഴേക്കിടയിലുള്ള ആൾമുതൽ ഏറ്റവും ഉന്നതർവരെ എല്ലാവരും എന്നെ അറിയും.
12 Because I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins and their lawlessness I will no, not further remember.
ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത ക്ഷമിക്കും; അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ ഇനിമേൽ ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുകയുമില്ല.” എന്ന് കർത്താവ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
13 In saying, New, he has made the first old. And what is becoming old and obsolete is near disappearance.
അവിടന്ന് ഈ ഉടമ്പടിയെ “പുതിയത്” എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ ആദ്യത്തേതിനു സാംഗത്യമില്ലാത്തതായിത്തീർന്നു എന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയാണ്. കാലഹരണപ്പെട്ടതും പഴഞ്ചനും ആയതൊക്കെ അതിവേഗം അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകും.
