1 Therefore having left the word of the primacy of Christ, let us be brought forward to perfection, not again laying a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
ⲁ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲀⲚⲬⲰ ⲚⲤⲰⲚ ⲘⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲀⲢⲬⲎ ⲘⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲘⲀⲢⲈⲚⲒ ⲈⲠⲒϪⲰⲔ ⲚⲤⲈⲢⲰϦⲦ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲨⲤⲈⲚϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲚⲞⲒⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲨⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
2 of doctrine of washings, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios g166)
ⲃ̅ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚϬⲒⲰⲘⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲬⲀϪⲒϪ ⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲀⲚⲀⲤⲦⲀⲤⲒⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲢⲈϤⲘⲰⲞⲨⲦ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲔⲢⲒⲤⲒⲤ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōnios g166)
3 And this we will do, if of course God will permit.
ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲚⲈⲀⲒϤ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲢⲈϢⲀⲚ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲀϨⲤⲀϨⲚⲒ.
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and who tasted of the heavenly gift, and who became partakers of the Holy Spirit,
ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦϪⲞⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲦⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨϬ ⲒⲘⲪⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲞⲠ ⲈⲀⲨϪⲈⲘϮⲠⲒ ⲚⲆⲰⲢⲈⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲈⲠⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲈⲐⲞⲨⲀⲂ
5 and who tasted the good word of God and the powers of the coming age, (aiōn g165)
ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨϪⲈⲘϮⲠⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲈⲐⲚⲎⲞⲨ. (aiōn g165)
6 and who fell away, to restore again to repentance, crucifying to themselves the Son of God, and disgracing him publicly.
ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲈϨⲈⲒ ⲚⲤⲈⲈⲢⲂⲈⲢⲒ ⲞⲚ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲦⲀⲚⲞⲒⲀ ⲈⲨⲒϢⲒ ⲘⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲔⲈⲤⲞⲠ ⲤⲈⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲤⲢⲀϨ.
7 For the soil that has drunk the rain often coming upon it, and bringing forth vegetation useful for those by whom also it is cultivated, partakes of a blessing from God.
ⲍ̅ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲤⲰ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲞⲨⲚϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲐⲚⲎ ⲞⲨ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰϤ ⲚⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲚⲤⲞⲠ ⲈϤⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲒⲘ ⲈⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲒⲈⲪⲞⲨⲰⲒ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦⲞⲨ ϢⲀϤϬⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
8 But producing thorns and thistles it is unfit and near a curse, the end of which is for burning.
ⲏ̅ⲀϤϢⲀⲚⲒⲚⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϨⲀⲚϢⲞⲚϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲞⲨⲢⲒ ⲞⲨⲀⲦϢⲀⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤϦⲈⲚⲦ ⲈⲠⲤⲀϨⲞⲨⲒ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈϤϦⲀⲈ ⲚⲀϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲠⲢⲞⲔϨϤ.
9 But we are persuaded better things about you, beloved, and things that have salvation, even though we speak this way.
ⲑ̅ⲠⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲆⲈ ⲐⲎⲦ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲘⲈⲚⲢⲀϮ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦϦⲈⲚⲦ ⲈⲠⲒⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲠⲔⲈⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ.
10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the labor of love that ye showed toward his name, having served the sanctified, and who are serving.
ⲓ̅ⲚⲞⲨⲢⲈϤϬⲒⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϪⲈ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲢⲠⲰⲂϢ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚϨⲰⲂ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠϦⲒⲤⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲀⲄⲀⲠⲎ ⲐⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚϨⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈϤⲢⲀⲚ ⲈⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲈⲘϢⲒ ⲚⲚⲒⲀⲄⲒⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲈⲘϢⲒ ⲞⲚ.
11 And we earnestly desire each of you to show the same diligence toward the full assurance of the hope until the end,
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲀⲒⲤⲠⲞⲨⲆⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲠϪⲰⲔ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲀⲒϨⲈⲖⲠⲒⲤ ϢⲀ ϦⲀⲈ.
12 so that ye may not become lazy, but imitators of those who, through faith and longsuffering, inherit the promises.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ϪⲈ ⲚⲚⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲔⲖⲎ ⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲒⲚ ⲚⲚⲒⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ.
13 For God who promised to Abraham, since he had none greater to swear by, swore by himself,
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲈⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲰϢ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲈⲠⲒⲆⲎ ⲚⲈⲘⲦⲞⲚ ⲔⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈϤϬⲞⲤⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲐⲢⲈϤⲰⲢⲔ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲀϤⲰⲢⲔ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲘⲘⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ
14 saying, Surely indeed, blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲤⲘⲞⲨ ϮⲚⲀⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲞⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲀϢⲀⲒ ϮⲚⲀⲐⲢⲈ ⲠⲈⲔϪⲢⲞϪ ⲀϢⲀⲒ.
15 And this way, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ Ⲁ- ⲦⲞⲦϤ ϢⲀϢⲚⲒ ⲈⲠⲒⲰϢ.
16 For men certainly swear by the greater, and of every dispute with them the oath is final for confirmation.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ϢⲀⲨⲰⲢⲔ ⲚⲀϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲚⲒϢϮ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠϪⲰⲔ ⲚⲀⲚⲦⲒⲖⲞⲄⲒⲀ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲦⲀϪⲢⲞ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲀⲚⲀϢ.
17 By which God, wanting to demonstrate more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutableness of his resolve, confirmed it by an oath.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲆⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲀⲒ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲦⲀⲘⲈ ⲚⲒⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲰϢ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲀⲦⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈϤⲤⲞϬⲚⲒ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲘⲈⲤⲒⲦⲎ ⲤϦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲚⲀϢ
18 So that by two immutable events, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, having fled for refuge to seize the hope being openly displayed.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲰⲂ ⲂⲚⲀⲐⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϪⲈ ⲘⲈⲐⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲬⲰ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲞⲘϮ ⲈⲤϪⲞⲢ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲪⲰⲦ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲈⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲚϮϨⲈⲖⲠⲒⲤ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ⲚⲀϨⲢⲀⲚ.
19 Which we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and that enters into the interior of the veil,
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲐⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲚⲦⲀⲚ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲞⲨⲀⲨϪⲀⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲮⲨⲬⲎ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲦϢⲞϤⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲦⲀϪⲢⲎⲞⲨⲦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲚⲀ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ϢⲀ ⲚⲈⲦⲤⲀϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲀⲦⲀⲠⲈⲦⲀⲤⲘⲀ.
20 where the forerunner, Jesus, entered for us, having become a high priest into the age according to the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
