Hebrews 3
1 Because of which, holy brothers, companions of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our affirmation, Jesus Christ,
Por lo cual hermanos, santos, participantes de la vocación celestial, considerád el apóstol y sumo sacerdote de nuestra profesión Cristo Jesús,
2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.
El cual fue fiel al que le constituyó, como también lo fue Moisés en toda su casa.
3 For this man was considered worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he who built it has more esteem than the house.
Porque de tanto mayor gloria que Moisés éste es estimado digno, cuanto tiene mayor dignidad que la casa el que la fabricó.
4 For every house is built by some man, but he who built all things is God.
Porque toda casa es edificada por alguno; mas el que creó todas las cosas, es Dios.
5 And Moses was indeed faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of the things that were going to be spoken,
Y Moisés a la verdad fue fiel en toda su casa, como criado; empero para testificar aquellas cosas que después se habían de denunciar;
6 but Christ as a Son over his house, whose house we are, if only we keep in possession our confidence and pride of hope, firm until the end.
Mas Cristo, como hijo sobre su propia casa, la cual casa somos nosotros, si hasta el cabo retenemos firme la confianza y la alegría de la esperanza.
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, Today if ye hear his voice,
Por lo cual, como dice el Espíritu Santo: Si oyereis hoy su voz;
8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, according to the day of the trial in the wilderness,
No endurezcáis vuestros corazones como en la provocación, en el día de la tentación en el desierto,
9 where your fathers challenged me, tested me, and saw my works forty years.
Donde me tentaron vuestros padres: me probaron, y vieron mis obras cuarenta años.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, They are always led astray in their heart, and they did not know my ways.
A causa de lo cual me indigné con aquella generación, y dije: Perpetuamente yerran de corazón, y ni ellos han conocido mis caminos;
11 So I swore in my wrath, They will not enter into my rest.
Así que juré en mi ira, Si entrarán en mi reposo.
12 Watch, brothers, lest there will be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in withdrawing from the living God.
Estád alerta, hermanos, que en ninguno de vosotros haya corazón maleado de incredulidad para apartarse del Dios vivo;
13 But exhort each other during each day, while it is called Today, lest any of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Antes exhortáos los unos a los otros cada día, entre tanto que se dice Hoy; porque ninguno de vosotros se endurezca por el engaño del pecado.
14 For we have become companions of the Christ, if only we keep in possession the primacy of the essence, steadfast until the end,
Porque participantes de Cristo somos hechos, si empero retenemos firme hasta el cabo el principio de la confianza.
15 while it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.
Entre tanto que se dice: Si oyereis hoy su voz, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como en la provocación.
16 For some who heard rebelled, but not all those who came out of Egypt by Moses.
Porque algunos, habiendo oído, provocaron; aunque no todos los que salieron de Egipto por medio de Moisés.
17 But with whom was he angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
Mas, ¿con quiénes estuvo indignado cuarenta años? ¿no fue con aquellos que pecaron, cuyos miembros cayeron en el desierto?
18 And to whom did he swear were not going to enter into his rest, if not to those who were disobedient?
¿Y a quiénes juró que no entrarían en su reposo, sino a aquellos que no creyeron?
19 And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
Así vemos que no pudieron entrar a causa de la incredulidad.
