Genesis 47
1 Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brothers, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, have come out of the land of Canaan. And, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
József bement, tudtára adta Fáraónak és mondta: Atyám és testvéreim, meg juhaik és marháik és mindenük, amijük van, eljöttek Kánaán országából; és íme, ők Gósen földjén vannak.
2 And he took five men from among his brothers, and presented them to Pharaoh.
Testvérei közül pedig vett öt embert és odaállította Fáraó elé.
3 And Pharaoh said to his brothers, What is your occupation? And they said to Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.
És mondta Fáraó (József) testvéreinek: Mi a foglalkozásotok? És ők mondták Fáraónak: Juhpásztorok a te szolgáid, mi is, atyáink is.
4 And they said to Pharaoh, We have come to sojourn in the land, for there is no pasture for thy servants' flocks, for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. Now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
És mondták Fáraónak: Hogy az országban tartózkodjunk, azért jöttünk, mert nincs legelő a juhok számára; melyek szolgáidé; mert nyomasztó az éhség Kánaán országában; és most hadd lakjanak szolgáid Gósen földjén.
5 And Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brothers have come to thee.
És szólt Fáraó Józsefhez, mondván: Atyád és testvéreid eljöttek hozzád;
6 The land of Egypt is before thee. Make thy father and thy brothers to dwell in the best of the land; in the land of Goshen let them dwell. And if thou know any able men among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.
Egyiptom országa előtted van, az ország legjavában telepítsd le atyádat és testvéreidet: lakjanak Gósen földjén. Ha pedig tudod, hogy vannak közöttük derék emberek, hát tedd őket nyájfelügyelőkké a fölé, ami az enyém.
7 And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
És elhozta József Jákobot, az ő atyját, odaállította őt Fáraó elé és Jákob megáldotta Fáraót.
8 And Pharaoh said to Jacob, How many are the days of the years of thy life?
És mondta Fáraó Jákobnak: Mennyi a te életed éveinek napja?
9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
És mondta Jákob Fáraónak: Földi tartózkodásom éveinek napjai: százharminc év; kevesek és rosszak voltak életem éveinek napjai és nem érték el atyáim életéveinek napjait az ő földi tartózkodásuk napjaiban.
10 And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.
És megáldotta Jákob Fáraót és elment Fáraó elől.
11 And Joseph placed his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
József pedig letelepítette atyját és testvéreit és adott nekik birtokot Egyiptom országában, az ország legjavában, Rámszész földjén, amint megparancsolta Fáraó.
12 And Joseph nourished his father, and his brothers, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families.
És eltartotta József az ő atyját és testvéreit és atyjának egész házát kenyérrel a gyermekek száma szerint.
13 And there was no bread in all the land, for the famine was very severe, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
Kenyér pedig nem volt az egész országban, mert nyomasztó volt, az éhség nagyon; és elepedt Egyiptom országa és Kánaán országa az éhség miatt.
14 And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought. And Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.
És összeszedte József mind a pénzt, ami találtatott Egyiptom országában és Kánaán országában, a gabonáért, melyet azok vettek; és bevitte József a pénzt Fáraó házába.
15 And when the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, and said, Give us bread, for why should we die in thy presence? For our money fails.
Midőn elfogyott a pénz Egyiptom országában és Kánaán országában, akkor eljött egész Egyiptom Józsefhez, mondván: Adj nekünk kenyeret, miért haljunk meg előtted, mert elfogyott a pénz.
16 And Joseph said, Give your cattle, and I will give you for your cattle, if money fails.
És mondta József: Adjátok ide marháitokat és én adok nektek marháitokért, ha elfogyott a pénz.
17 And they brought their cattle to Joseph. And Joseph gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the donkeys. And he fed them with bread in exchange for all their cattle for that year.
És elhozták marháikat Józsefhez és adott nekik József kenyeret a lovakért, a juhnyájakért, a marhanyájakért és a szamarakért; és ellátta őket kenyérrel mind az ő marháikért abban az évben.
18 And when that year was ended, they came to him the second year, and said to him, We will not hide from my lord, how that our money is all spent, and the herds of cattle are my lord's; there is nothing left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands.
De elmúlt az év és jöttek hozzá a második évben és mondták neki: Nem titkolhatjuk el urunk előtt, hogy elfogyott a pénz és a marhanyáj uramhoz jutott; nem maradt uram előtt semmi, csupán csak testünk és földünk.
19 Why should we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants to Pharaoh. And give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land not be desolate.
Miért vesszünk el szemed előtt mi is, földünk is? Vegyél meg minket és földünket kenyérért; és leszünk mi és földünk szolgái Fáraónak, és adj magot, hogy éljünk és meg ne haljunk, a föld pedig el ne pusztuljon.
20 So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh. For the Egyptians, every man, sold his field, because the famine was severe upon them. And the land became Pharaoh's.
És megvette József Egyiptom egész földjét Fáraó számára, mert eladták az egyiptomiak mindegyik az ő mezejét, mert erőt vett rajtuk az éhség; így lett az ország Fáraóé.
21 And as for the people, he moved them to the cities from one end of the border of Egypt even to the other end of it.
A népet pedig, áthelyezte azt városok szerint, Egyiptom határának egyik szélétől a másik széléig.
22 Only he did not buy the land of the priests, for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and ate their portion which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore they did not sell their land.
Csak a papok földjét nem vette meg, mert kiszabott részük volt a papoknak Fáraótól és ők élvezték törvényes részüket, melyet Fáraó adott nekik, azért nem adták el földjüket.
23 Then Joseph said to the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh. Lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.
És mondta József a népnek; Íme; én megvettelek benneteket ma és földeteket Fáraó számára; ímhol nektek mag, vessétek be a földet.
24 And it shall come to pass at the ingatherings, that ye shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for those of your households, and for food for your little ones.
És lesz, a termésből adjatok egy ötödöt Fáraónak, négy rész pedig legyen a tietek a mező vetőmagjául és eledeletekre, meg azoknak, kik házaitokban vannak és hogy ennivalója legyen gyermekeiteknek.
25 And they said, Thou have saved our lives. Let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants.
És ők mondták: Életben tartottál bennünket! Hadd találjunk kegyet uram szemeiben és mi szolgái leszünk Fáraónak!
26 And Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth. Only the land of the priests alone did not become Pharaoh's.
És ezt tette József törvénnyé e napig Egyiptom földjére nézve, hogy Fáraóé az ötöd; csak a papok földje egyedül nem lett Fáraóé.
27 And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen. And they got possessions in it, and were fruitful, and multiplied exceedingly.
És lakott Izrael Egyiptom országában, Gósen földjén; birtokot szereztek abban, szaporodtak és megsokasodtak nagyon.
28 And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years. So the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were a hundred forty-seven years.
És élt Jákob Egyiptom országában tizenhét évig; és voltak Jákob napjai, életének évei: száznegyvenhét év.
29 And the time drew near that Israel must die. And he called his son Joseph, and said to him, If now I have found favor in thy sight, put thy hand, I pray thee, under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me. Bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt,
Midőn közeledtek Izrael napjai a halálhoz, akkor hivatta fiát, Józsefet és mondta neki: Ha ugyan kegyet találtam szemeidben, tedd, kérlek, kezedet csípőm alá, hogy cselekszel velem szeretetet és hűséget: ne temess el kérlek, Egyiptomban.
30 but when I sleep with my fathers, thou shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burying place. And he said, I will do as thou have said.
Ha majd elnyugszom atyáimmal, akkor vigyél el engem Egyiptomból és temess el az ő temetőhelyükön. És ő mondta: Én szavad szerint fogok cselekedni.
31 And he said, Swear to me, and he swore to him. And Israel bowed himself upon the head of the bed.
És ő mondta: Esküdj meg nekem! És megesküdött neki. És leborult Izrael az ágy fejére.
