Galatians 4
1 But I say the heir, for as long a time as he is a child, differs nothing from a bondman though he is lord of all.
मेरा कहने का उद्देश्य यह है कि जब तक वारिस बालक है, दास और उसमें किसी भी प्रकार का अंतर नहीं होता, यद्यपि वह हर एक वस्तु का स्वामी है.
2 Instead he is under stewards and managers until the time appointed from the father.
वह पिता द्वारा निर्धारित समय तक के लिए रक्षकों व प्रबंधकों के संरक्षण में रहता है.
3 And so when we were children, we were in bondage under the rudiments of the world.
इसी प्रकार हम भी, जब बालक थे, संसार की आदि शिक्षा के अधीन दासत्व में थे.
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born from a woman, born under law,
किंतु निर्धारित समय के पूरा होने पर परमेश्वर ने अपने पुत्र को भेजा, जो स्त्री से जन्मे, व्यवस्था के अधीन,
5 so that he might redeem those under law, so that we might receive the sonship.
कि उन सबको छुड़ा लें, जो व्यवस्था के अधीन हैं, कि हम परमेश्वर की संतान होने का अधिकार प्राप्त कर सकें.
6 And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
अब इसलिये कि तुम संतान हो, परमेश्वर ने अपने पुत्र के आत्मा को, जो अब्बा, पिता पुकारता है, हमारे हृदयों में भेज दिया है.
7 So that thou are no longer a bondman but a son, and if a son, then an heir through Christ.
इसलिये अब तुम दास नहीं परंतु संतान बन गए हो और यदि तुम संतान हो तो परमेश्वर के द्वारा वारिस भी.
8 But of course not knowing God then, ye were in bondage to those in nature who are not gods,
जब तुम परमेश्वर को नहीं जानते थे, उस समय तुम उनके दास थे, जो वास्तव में ईश्वर हैं ही नहीं.
9 but now knowing God, but rather being known by God, how is it ye turn again to the weak and destitute elements to which ye desire again to be in bondage anew?
किंतु अब, जब तुमने परमेश्वर को जान लिया है, परंतु यह कहें कि परमेश्वर द्वारा जान लिये गए हो, तो फिर तुम कमजोर तथा दयनीय आदि शिक्षाओं का दास बनने के लिए क्यों लौट रहे हो? क्या तुम्हें दोबारा उन्हीं का दास बनने की लालसा है?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
तुम तो विशेष दिवस, माह, ऋतु तथा वर्ष मनाते जा रहे हो.
11 I am afraid of you, lest somehow I have labored toward you in vain.
मुझे तुम्हारे लिए आशंका है कि कहीं तुम्हारे लिए मेरा परिश्रम व्यर्थ ही तो नहीं गया.
12 I beseech you, brothers, become like me, because I also am like ye. Ye wronged me in nothing.
प्रिय भाई बहनो, मैं तुमसे विनती करता हूं कि तुम मेरे समान बन जाओ क्योंकि मैं भी तुम्हारे समान बन गया हूं. तुमने मुझे कोई हानि नहीं पहुंचाई.
13 But ye know that through a weakness of the flesh I preached the good news to you the first time.
तुम्हें याद होगा कि, मैंने पहली बार अपनी बीमारी की स्थिति में तुम्हें ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार सुनाया था,
14 And ye did not disdain, nor did ye reject my trial in my flesh, but ye received me as an agent of God, as Christ Jesus.
परंतु मेरी शारीरिक स्थिति के कारण, जो तुम्हारे लिए एक परख थी, तुमने न तो मुझसे घृणा की और न ही मुझसे मुख मोड़ा, परंतु मुझे इस प्रकार स्वीकार किया, मानो मैं परमेश्वर का स्वर्गदूत हूं, मसीह येशु हूं.
15 Where then is your satisfaction? For I testify to you, that if possible, having plucked your eyes out, ye would have given them to me.
अब कहां गया तुम्हारा आनंद मनाना? मैं स्वयं गवाह हूं कि यदि संभव होता तो उस समय तुम अपनी आंखें तक निकालकर मुझे दे देते.
16 So then have I become your enemy telling you the truth?
क्या सिर्फ सच बोलने के कारण मैं तुम्हारा शत्रु हो गया?
17 They are zealous for you but not honorably. They want to exclude you, so that ye may be zealous for them.
वे तुम्हें अपने पक्ष में करने को उत्सुक हैं, किंतु किसी भले मतलब से नहीं; उनका मतलब तो तुम्हें मुझसे अलग करना है कि तुम उनके शिष्य बन जाओ.
18 But to be zealous of is always good in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
हमेशा ही अच्छे उद्देश्य के लिए उत्साही होना उत्तम होता है और मात्र उसी समय नहीं, जब मैं तुम्हारे मध्य उपस्थित होता हूं.
19 My little children, of whom I suffer birth pains again until Christ is formed in you.
हे बालको, तुममें मसीह का स्वरूप पूरी तरह विकसित होने तक मैं दोबारा प्रसव पीड़ा में रहूंगा.
20 But I was wishing to be present with you now and to change my tone, because I am perplexed at you.
बड़ी अभिलाषा थी कि इस समय मैं तुम्हारे पास होता और मीठी वाणी में तुमसे बातें करता, क्योंकि तुम्हारे विषय में मैं दुविधा में पड़ा हूं.
21 Tell me those desiring to be under law, do ye not hear the law?
मुझे यह बताओ: तुम, जो व्यवस्था के अधीन रहना चाहते हो, क्या तुम वास्तव में व्यवस्था का पालन नहीं करते?
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one from the servant girl, and one from the freewoman.
पवित्र शास्त्र में लिखा है कि अब्राहाम के दो पुत्र थे, एक दासी से और दूसरा स्वतंत्र स्त्री से.
23 But in fact, the man from the servant girl was born according to flesh, but the man from the freewoman through promise.
दासी का पुत्र शरीर से जन्मा था और स्वतंत्र स्त्री के पुत्र का जन्म प्रतिज्ञा के पूरा होने के लिए हुआ था.
24 Which things are allegorized, for these are two covenants, indeed one from mount Sinai giving birth for bondage, which is Hagar.
यह एक दृष्टांत है. ये स्त्रियां दो वाचाएं हैं. सीनाय पर्वत की वाचा हागार है, जिससे दासत्व की संतान पैदा होती है.
25 For Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and it corresponds to the present Jerusalem, and is in bondage with her children.
हागार अराबिया में सीनाय पर्वत है, जो वर्तमान येरूशलेम का प्रतीक है क्योंकि वह संतानों सहित दासत्व में है.
26 But the Jerusalem above is free, which is mother of us all.
किंतु स्वर्गीय येरूशलेम स्वतंत्र है. वह हमारी माता है.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren woman not giving birth. Burst forth and shout, thou not suffering birth pains, because many more are the children of the desolate than of her who has the husband.
जैसा कि लिखा है: “बांझ, तुम, जो संतान पैदा करने में असमर्थ हो, आनंदित हो. तुम, जो प्रसव पीड़ा से अनजान हो, जय जयकार करो, क्योंकि त्यागी हुई की संतान, सुहागन की संतान से अधिक है.”
28 Now we, brothers, who correspond to Isaac, are children of promise.
प्रिय भाई बहनो, तुम यित्सहाक के समान प्रतिज्ञा की संतान हो.
29 But just as then, the man who was born according to flesh persecuted the man according to Spirit, so also now.
किंतु जैसे उस समय शरीर से जन्मा पुत्र आत्मा से जन्मे पुत्र को सताया करता था, वैसी ही स्थिति इस समय भी है.
30 Nevertheless, what does the scripture say? Send away the servant girl and her son, for the son of the servant girl will, no, not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
पवित्र शास्त्र का लेख क्या है? “दासी व उसके पुत्र को निकाल दो क्योंकि दासी का पुत्र कभी भी स्वतंत्र स्त्री के पुत्र के साथ वारिस नहीं होगा.”
31 So then, brothers, we are not children of a servant girl, but of the freewoman.
इसलिये, प्रिय भाई बहनो, हम दासी की नहीं, परंतु स्वतंत्र स्त्री की संतान हैं.
