Ezekiel 8
1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the lord Jehovah fell there upon me.
Und es begab sich im sechsten Jahr, am fünften Tage des sechsten Monden, daß ich saß in meinem Hause, und die Alten aus Juda saßen vor mir; daselbst fiel die Hand des HERRN HERRN auf mich.
2 Then I beheld, and, lo, a likeness as the appearance of fire, from the appearance of his loins and downward, fire, and from his loins and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.
Und siehe, ich sah, daß von seinen Lenden herunterwärts war gleich wie Feuer; aber oben über seinen Lenden war es lichthelle.
3 And he put forth the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head. And the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looks toward the north, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy.
Und reckte aus gleichwie eine Hand und ergriff mich bei dem Haar meines Haupts. Da führete mich ein Wind zwischen Himmel und Erde und brachte mich gen Jerusalem in einem göttlichen Gesichte zu dem innern Tor, das gegen Mitternacht stehet, da denn saß ein Bild zu Verdrieß dem Hausherrn.
4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.
Und siehe, da war die HERRLIchkeit des Gottes Israels, wie ich sie zuvor gesehen hatte im Felde.
5 Then he said to me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and, behold, northward of the gate of the altar was this image of jealousy in the entry.
Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, hebe deine Augen auf gegen Mitternacht! Und da ich meine Augen aufhub gegen Mitternacht, siehe, da saß gegen Mitternacht das verdrießliche Bild am Tor des Altars, eben da man hineingehet.
6 And he said to me, Son of man, see thou what they do, even the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But thou shall again see yet other great abominations.
Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, siehest du auch, was diese tun, nämlich große Greuel, die das Haus Israel hie tut, daß sie mich ja ferne von meinem Heiligtum treiben? Aber du wirst noch mehr größere Greuel sehen.
7 And he brought me to the door of the court. And when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.
Und er führete mich zur Tür des Vorhofs; da sah ich, und siehe, da war ein Loch in der Wand.
8 Then he said to me, Son of man, dig now in the wall. And when I had dug in the wall, behold, a door.
Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, grabe durch die Wand! Und da ich durch die Wand grub, siehe, da war eine Tür.
9 And he said to me, Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.
Und er sprach zu mir: Gehe hinein und schaue die bösen Greuel, die sie allhie tun.
10 So I went in and saw, and, behold, every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.
Und da ich hineinkam und sah, siehe, da waren allerlei Bildnisse der Würmer und Tiere, eitel Scheuel und allerlei Götzen des Hauses Israel, allenthalben umher an der Wand gemacht,
11 And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel. And in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, each man with his censer in his hand, and the odor of the cloud of incense went up.
vor welchen stunden siebenzig Männer aus den Ältesten des Hauses Israel; und Jasanja, der Sohn Saphans, stund auch unter ihnen; und ein jeglicher hatte sein Räuchwerk in der Hand. Und ging ein dicker Nebel auf vom Räuchwerk.
12 Then he said to me, Son of man, have thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each man in his chambers of imagery? For they say, Jehovah does not see us. Jehovah has forsaken the land.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschenkind, siehest du, was die Ältesten des Hauses Israel tun in der Finsternis, ein jeglicher in seiner schönsten Kammer? Denn sie sagen: Der HERR siehet uns nicht, sondern der HERR hat das Land verlassen.
13 He also said to me, Thou shall again see yet other great abominations which they do.
Und er sprach zu mir: Du sollst noch mehr größere Greuel sehen, die sie tun.
14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Jehovah's house which was toward the north. And, behold, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.
Und er führete mich hinein zum Tor an des HERRN Hause, das gegen Mitternacht stehet; und siehe, daselbst saßen Weiber, die weineten über den Thamus.
15 Then he said to me, Have thou seen this, O son of man? Thou shall again see yet greater abominations than these.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschenkind, siehest du das? Aber du sollst noch größere Greuel sehen, denn diese sind.
16 And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah's house. And, behold, at the door of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east.
Und er führete mich in den innern Hof am Hause des HERRN; und siehe, vor der Tür am Tempel des HERRN, zwischen der Halle und dem Altar, da waren bei fünfundzwanzig Männer, die ihren Rücken gegen den Tempel des HERRN und ihr Angesicht gegen den Morgen gekehret hatten, und beteten gegen der Sonnen Aufgang.
17 Then he said to me, Have thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger. And, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Und er sprach zu mir: Menschenkind, siehest du das? Ist's dem Hause Juda zu wenig, daß sie alle solche Greuel hie tun? so sie doch sonst im ganzen Lande eitel Gewalt und Unrecht treiben und fahren zu und reizen mich auch; und siehe, sie halten die Weinreben an die Nasen.
18 Therefore I will also deal in wrath. My eye shall not spare, nor will I have pity. And though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet I will not hear them.
Darum will ich auch wider sie mit Grimm handeln, und mein Auge soll ihrer nicht verschonen, und will nicht gnädig sein. Und wenn sie gleich mit lauter Stimme vor meinen Ohren schreien, will ich sie doch nicht hören.
