Ezekiel 6
1 And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
Und das Wort des HERRN erging an mich also:
2 Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy to them,
Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht gegen die Berge Israels und weissage wider sie und sprich:
3 and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of lord Jehovah. Thus says the lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
Ihr Berge Israels, höret das Wort Gottes, des HERRN! So spricht Gott, der HERR, zu den Bergen und Hügeln, zu den Gründen und Tälern: Seht, ich will ein Schwert über euch bringen und eure Höhen verderben.
4 And your altars shall become desolate, and your sun-images shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
Eure Altäre sollen verwüstet und eure Sonnensäulen zerbrochen werden.
5 And I will lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
Und ich will die Leichname der Kinder Israel vor ihre Götzen werfen und will eure Gebeine rings um eure Altäre zerstreuen.
6 In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your sun-images may be hewn down, and your works may be abolished.
An allen euren Wohnsitzen sollen die Städte öde und die Höhen verwüstet werden, daß eure Altäre verlassen und zerstört, eure Götzen zerbrochen und abgetan, eure Sonnensäulen umgestürzt und eure Machwerke vernichtet werden.
7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you. And ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
Und Erschlagene sollen mitten unter euch fallen, so werdet ihr erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin!
8 Yet I will leave a remnant, in that ye shall have some who escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
Ich will aber etliche von euch übriglassen, die dem Schwert entrinnen sollen unter den Heiden, wenn ihr in die Länder zerstreut werdet.
9 And those of you who escape shall remember me among the nations where they shall be carried captive, how I have broken with their lewd heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which play the harlot after their idols. And they shall loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
Diejenigen aber von euch, welche entrinnen, werden meiner gedenken bei den Heiden, wohin sie gefangen geführt worden sind, wenn ich ihr buhlerisches Herz, das von mir abgewichen ist, und ihre Augen, die ihren Götzen nachbuhlten, gebrochen habe. Alsdann werden sie an sich selbst Mißfallen haben wegen der Bosheit, welche sie mit allen ihren Greueln verübt haben,
10 And they shall know that I am Jehovah. I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.
und sie werden erfahren, dass ich, der HERR, nicht umsonst gesagt habe, daß ich solches Unglück über sie bringen werde.
11 Thus says the lord Jehovah: Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas! because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
Gott, der HERR, hat also gesprochen: Schlage deine Hände zusammen und stampfe mit deinem Fuß und rufe ein Wehe aus über alle schändlichen Greuel des Hauses Israel! Durchs Schwert, durch Hunger und Pest soll es umkommen!
12 He who is far off shall die of the pestilence, and he who is near shall fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged shall die by the famine. Thus I will accomplish my wrath upon them.
Wer in der Ferne sein wird, der wird an der Pest sterben, und wer in der Nähe sein wird, soll durch das Schwert umkommen; wer aber übrigbleibt und erhalten wird, soll Hungers sterben. Also will ich meinen grimmigen Zorn an ihnen stillen.
13 And ye shall know that I am Jehovah when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the places where they offered sweet savor to all their idols.
Alsdann werdet ihr erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ihre Erschlagenen mitten unter ihren Götzen um ihre Altäre her liegen werden, auf allen hohen Hügeln, auf allen Berghöhen, unter allen grünen Bäumen und unter allen dichtbelaubten Eichen, an den Stätten, wo sie allen ihren Götzen süßen Opferduft bereitet haben.
14 And I will stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness toward Diblah, throughout all their habitations. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.
Und ich will meine Hand über sie ausstrecken und das Land zur Wüste und Einöde machen von der Steppe an bis nach Riblat hin, an allen ihren Wohnorten, und so sollen sie erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin!
