Ezekiel 20
1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and sat before me.
七年の五月十日にイスラエルの長老の中の人々ヱホバに問んとて來りてわが前に坐しけるに
2 And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
ヱホバの言我にのぞみて云ふ
3 Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Is it to inquire of me that ye have come? As I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you.
人の子よイスラエルの長老等に告て之にいふべし主ヱホバかく言ふ汝等我に問んとて來れるや主ヱホバいふ我は活く我汝らの問を容じと
4 Will thou judge them, son of man, will thou judge them? Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers,
汝かれらを鞫かんとするや人の子よ汝かれらを鞫かんとするや彼等の先祖等のなしたる憎むべき事等をかれらに知しめて
5 and say to them, Thus says the lord Jehovah: In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am Jehovah your God,
言べし主ヱホバかくいふ我イスラエルを選みヤコブの家の裔にむかひてわが手をあげエジプトの地にて我をかれらに知せかれらにむかひて吾手をあげて我は汝らの神ヱホバなりと言し日
6 I swore to them in that day, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.
その日に我かれらにむかひて吾手をあげエジプトの地よりかれらをいだし吾がかれらのために求め得たるその乳と蜜の流るる地に導かんとせり是諸の地の中の美しき者なり
7 And I said to them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am Jehovah your God.
而して我かれらに言けらく各人その目にあるところの憎むべき事等を棄てよエジプトの偶像をもてその身を汚すなかれ我は汝らの神ヱホバなりと
8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken to me. They did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
然るに彼らは我に背きて我に聽したがふことを好まざりき彼等一人もその目にあるところの憎むべき者を棄てずエジプトの偶像を棄てざりしかば我エジプトの地の中において吾憤恨をかれらに注ぎわが忿怒をかれらに洩さんと言り
9 But I worked for my name's sake (that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them) in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
然れども我わが名のために事をなして彼らをエジプトの地より導きいだせり是吾名の異邦人等の前に汚されざらんためなりその異邦人等の中に彼等居り又その前にて我おのれを彼等に知せたり
10 So I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
すなはち我エジプトの地より彼等を導き出して曠野に携ゆき
11 And I gave them my statutes, and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he shall live in them.
わが法憲をこれに授けわが律法をこれに示せり是は人の行ひて之に由て生べき者なり
12 Moreover I also gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies them.
我また彼らに安息日を與へて我と彼らの間の徴となしかれらをして吾ヱホバが彼らを聖別しを知しめんとせり
13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not walk in my statutes, and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keeps, he shall live in them. And they greatly profaned my sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
然るにイスラエルの家は曠野にて我に背き人の行ひて之によりて生べき者なるわが法度にあゆまず吾が律法を輕んじ大に吾が安息日を汚したれば曠野にてわが憤恨をかれらに注ぎてこれを滅さんと言ひたりしが
14 But I worked for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.
我わが名のために事をなせり是わが彼らを導きいだして見せしところの異邦人等の目のまへにわが名を汚されざらしめんためなりき
15 Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands,
但し我曠野にて彼らにむかひて吾手をあげ彼らをわが與へしその乳と蜜の流るる地に導かじと誓へり是は諸の地の中の美しき者なり
16 because they rejected my ordinances, and did not walk in my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths, for their heart went after their idols.
是かれら心にその偶像を慕ひてわが律法を輕んじ棄てわが法憲にあゆまずわが安息日を汚したればなり
17 Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I did not destroy them, nor did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.
然りといへども吾かれらを惜み見てかれらを滅ぼさず曠野にて彼らを絕さざりき
18 And I said to their sons in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers. Neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.
我曠野にてかれらの子等に言り汝らの父の法度にあゆむなかれ汝らの律法を守るなかれ汝らの偶像をもて汝らの身を汚すなかれ
19 I am Jehovah your God. Walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them,
我は汝らの神ヱホバなり吾法度にあゆみ吾律法を守りてこれを行ひ
20 and hallow my sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Jehovah your God.
わが安息日を聖くせよ是は我と汝らの間の徴となりて汝らをして我が汝らの神ヱホバなるを知しめんと
21 But the sons rebelled against me. They did not walk in my statutes, nor kept my ordinances to do them, which if a man does, he shall live in them. They profaned my sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
然るにその子等我にそむき人の行ひてこれによりて活べき者なるわが法度にあゆまず吾律法をまもりて之をおこなはずわが安息日を汚したれば我わが憤恨を彼らにそそぎ曠野にてわが忿怒をかれらに洩さんと言たりしが
22 Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and worked for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them forth.
吾手を翻してわが名のために事をなせり是わが彼らを導き出して見せしところの異邦人等の目のまへにわが名を汚されざらしめんためなりき
23 Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries,
但し我汝らを國々に散し處々に撒んと曠野にてかれらにむかひて我手を擧たり
24 because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.
是かれらわが律法を行はずわが法度を輕じわが安息日をけがしその父の偶像を目に慕ひたればなり
25 Moreover I also gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances in which they will not live.
我かれらに善らぬ法度を與へかれらが由て活べからざる律法を與へ
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that opens the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am Jehovah.
彼らをしてその禮物によりて己の身を汚さしむ即ちかれらその長子をして火の中を通過しめたり是は我彼らを滅し彼らをして我のヱホバなるを知しめんためなり
27 Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and say to them, Thus says the lord Jehovah: In this moreover your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
然ば人の子よイスラエルの家につげて之にいふべし主ヱホバかくいひたまふ彼らの父等は更にまた不忠の罪ををかし我を瀆せり
28 For when I had brought them into the land, which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill, and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There also they made their sweet savor, and they poured out there their drink offerings.
我わが彼らに與へんと手をあげし此地にかれらを導きいれしに彼ら諸の高丘と諸の茂樹を尋ね得てその犠牲を其處に供へその憤らしき禮物をそこに獻げその馨しき佳氣をそこに奉つりその神酒をそこに灌げり
29 Then I said to them, What does the high place to which ye go mean? So the name of it is called Bamah to this day.
我かれらに言り汝らが往ところの崇き處は何なるやと其名は今日にいたるまでバマと言ふなり
30 Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Do ye pollute yourselves according to the manner of your fathers, and play ye the harlot according to their abominations?
この故にイスラエルの家に言ふべし主ヱホバかくいひたまふ汝らの先祖の途をもて汝らはその身を汚し彼等の憎むべき物をしたひてこれと姦淫を行ふにあらずや
31 And when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, do ye pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day? And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, says the lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you.
汝等はその禮物を獻げその子女に火の中を通らしめて今日にいたるまで汝らの諸の偶像をもてその身を汚すなり然ばイスラエルの家よ我なんぢらの問を容るべけんや主ヱホバいふ我は活く我は汝らの問を容ざるなり
32 And that which comes into your mind shall not be at all, in that ye say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
汝ら我儕は木と石に事へて異邦人の如くなり國々の宗族のごとくならんと言ば汝らの心に起るところの事は必ず成ざるべし
33 As I live, says the lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be king over you.
主ヱホバいふ我は生く我かならず強き手と伸たる腕をもて怒を注ぎて汝らを治めん
34 And I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out,
我強き手と伸たる腕をもて怒を注ぎて汝らを國々より曳いだし汝らが散れたる處々より汝らを集め
35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples. And there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.
國々の曠野に汝らを導き其處にて面をあはせて汝らを鞫かん
36 Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, says the lord Jehovah.
主ヱホバいふ我エジプトの曠野にて汝らの先祖等を鞫きしごとくに汝らを鞫くべし
37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod. And I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.
我なんぢらをして杖の下を通らしめ契約の索に汝らを入しめ
38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and those who transgress against me. I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
汝らの中より背ける者および我に悖れる者を別たんその寓れる地より我かれらをいだすべし彼らはイスラエルの地に來らざるべし汝らすなはち我のヱホバなるを知ん
39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the lord Jehovah: Go ye. Serve each one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken to me. But ye shall no more profane my holy name with your gifts, and with your idols.
然ばイスラエルの家よ主ヱホバかくいふ汝等おのおの往てその偶像に事へよ然ど後には汝らかならず我に聽て重てその禮物と偶像をもてわが名を汚さざるべし
40 For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the lord Jehovah, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land. There I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings, and the first-fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
主ヱホバいふ吾が聖山の上イスラエルの高山の上にてイスラエルの全家その地の者皆我に事へん其處にて我かれらを悦びて受納ん其處にて我なんぢらの獻物および初成の禮物すべて汝らが聖別たる者を求むべし
41 I will accept you as a sweet savor when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries in which ye have been scattered. And I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations.
我汝らを國々より導き出し汝らが散されたる處々より汝らを集むる時馨しき香氣のごとくに汝らを悦びて受納れ汝らによりて異邦人等の目のまへに我の聖ことをあらはすべし
42 And ye shall know that I am Jehovah when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers.
我が汝らをイスラエルの地すなはちわが汝らの先祖等にあたへんと手をあげしところの地にいたらしめん時に汝等は我のヱホバなるを知るにいたらん
43 And there ye shall remember your ways, and all your doings, by which ye have polluted yourselves. And ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
汝らは其身を汚したるところの汝らの途と汝らのもろもろの行爲を彼處にて憶え其なしたる諸の惡き作爲のために自ら恨み視ん
44 And ye shall know that I am Jehovah when I have dealt with you for my name's sake, not according to your evil ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, says the lord Jehovah.
イスラエルの家よ我汝らの惡き途によらず汝らの邪なる作爲によらずして吾名のために汝等を待はん時に汝らは我のヱホバなるを知るにいたらん主ヱホバこれを言ふなり
45 And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
ヱホバの言また我にのぞみて言ふ
46 Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the South.
人の子よ汝の面を南方に向け南にむかひて言を垂れ南の野の森の事を預言せよ
47 And say to the forest of the South, Hear the word of Jehovah. Thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree. The flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burnt by it.
すなはち南の森に言ふべしヱホバの言を聽け主ヱホバかく言ふ視よ我なんぢの中に火を燃さん是なんぢの中の諸の靑樹と諸の枯木を焚べしその烈しき火焰消ることなし南より北まで諸の面これがために燒ん
48 And all flesh shall see that I, Jehovah, have kindled it. It shall not be quenched.
肉ある者みな我ヱホバのこれを燒しなるを見ん是は消ざるべし
49 Then I said, Ah lord Jehovah! They say of me, Is he not a speaker of parables?
我是において言り嗚呼主ヱホバよ人われを指て言ふ彼は譬言をもて語るにあらずやと
