Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, call on you to walk worthily of the calling in which ye were called,
De aceea, eu, prizonierul în Domnul, vă rog să vă purtați în mod demn de chemarea cu care ați fost chemați,
2 with all humility and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing each other in love.
cu toată smerenia și umilința, cu răbdare, suportându-vă unii pe alții în dragoste,
3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace,
urmărind să păstrați unitatea Duhului în legătura păcii.
4 one body, and one Spirit. Just as also ye were called in one hope of your calling,
Există un singur trup și un singur Duh, așa cum și voi ați fost chemați într-o singură nădejde a chemării voastre,
5 one Lord, one faith, one immersion,
un singur Domn, o singură credință, un singur botez,
6 one God and Father of all. He is over all, and through all, and in us all.
un singur Dumnezeu și Tatăl tuturor, care este peste toate și prin toate și în noi toți.
7 But the grace was given to each of us, according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.
Dar fiecăruia dintre noi i-a fost dat harul, după măsura darului lui Hristos.
8 Therefore he says, Having ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.
De aceea spune el, “Când s-a înălțat la înălțime, a dus captivi pe cei din captivitate, și dădea daruri oamenilor.”
9 And what is the ascended, except that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
Și când zice: “S-a înălțat”, ce înseamnă aceasta, dacă nu că mai întâi S-a coborât în părțile de jos ale pământului?
10 He who descended is also the same man who ascended high above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.
Cel care a coborât este cel care s-a înălțat și el mult deasupra tuturor cerurilor, ca să umple toate lucrurile.
11 And indeed he gave the apostles, and the prophets, and the evangelists, and the shepherds and teachers
Pe unii i-a dat ca apostoli, pe alții ca profeți, pe alții ca evangheliști, pe alții ca păstori și învățători;
12 for the perfecting of the sanctified, for the work of ministry, for edification of the body of the Christ.
pentru desăvârșirea sfinților, pentru lucrarea de slujire, pentru zidirea trupului lui Hristos,
13 Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to a standard of stature of the fullness of the Christ.
până când vom ajunge cu toții la unitatea credinței și a cunoașterii Fiului lui Dumnezeu, la un om matur, la măsura statura plinătății lui Hristos,
14 So that we may no longer be childish, tossed about and carried about by every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men in craftiness with the methodology of error.
ca să nu mai fim copii, aruncați încoace și încolo și purtați de orice vânt de învățătură, prin viclenia oamenilor, cu viclenie, după vicleșugurile rătăcirii;
15 But being truthful in love, we may cause all things to grow for him who is the head-the Christ-
ci, vorbind adevărul în dragoste, să creștem în toate lucrurile în cel care este capul, Hristos,
16 from whom the whole body, joined together and united together through every connection of the supply, according to the working of each one part within a standard, makes the growth of the body for the construction of itself by love.
din care tot trupul, fiind potrivit și împletit prin ceea ce furnizează fiecare încheietură, potrivit cu lucrarea pe măsură a fiecărei părți în parte, face ca trupul să crească spre zidirea lui însuși în dragoste.
17 This I say therefore, and solemnly declare in the Lord, for you to walk no longer as also the other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
De aceea spun aceasta și mărturisesc în Domnul, ca să nu mai umblați cum umblă și celelalte neamuri, în deșertăciunea minții lor,
18 darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the callousness of their heart.
fiind întunecați în înțelegerea lor, înstrăinați de viața lui Dumnezeu, din pricina ignoranței care este în ei, din pricina împietririi inimilor lor.
19 Who, having become callous, gave themselves over to licentiousness for the work of all uncleanness in greed.
Ei, devenind insensibili, s-au dat pe ei înșiși poftei, pentru a lucra cu lăcomie orice necurăție.
20 But ye did not so learn the Christ,
Dar voi nu așa l-ați învățat pe Cristos,
21 if indeed ye heard him, and were taught in him, as truth is in Jesus,
dacă, într-adevăr, l-ați auzit și ați fost învățați în el, așa cum este adevărul în Isus:
22 for you to put off the old man according to your former conduct, the man who is corrupt according to the desires of deceitfulness,
să vă lepădați, în ceea ce privește modul vostru de viață de mai înainte, de omul cel vechi, care se strică după poftele înșelăciunii,
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
și să vă înnoiți în duhul minții voastre,
24 and to put on the new man according to God, the man who was created in righteousness and piety of the truth.
și să vă îmbrăcați cu omul cel nou, care, după asemănarea lui Dumnezeu, a fost creat în neprihănire și în sfințenia adevărului.
25 Therefore having put off falsehood, let each man speak truth with his neighbor, because we are body-parts of each other.
De aceea, lăsând deoparte minciuna, să vorbească fiecare cu adevărul cu aproapele său, pentru că suntem mădulare unul altuia.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath,
“Mâniați-vă și nu păcătuiți.” Nu lăsa să apună soarele peste mânia ta,
27 neither give a place to the devil.
și nu da loc diavolului.
28 Let the man who steals steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the good, so that he may have to give to him who has need.
Cel care a furat să nu mai fure, ci mai degrabă să muncească, producând cu mâinile sale ceva bun, ca să aibă ce să dea celui care are nevoie.
29 Let no corrupt speech go out of your mouth, rather if there is any good word for edification of a need, so that it may give grace to those who hear.
Să nu iasă din gura voastră nici un cuvânt corupt, ci numai ceea ce este bun pentru zidirea altora, după nevoie, ca să dea har celor ce ascultă.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in which ye are sealed for a day of redemption.
Nu întristați Duhul Sfânt al lui Dumnezeu, în care ați fost pecetluiți pentru ziua răscumpărării.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and reviling be taken away from you, with all evil.
Să se îndepărteze de la voi orice amărăciune, mânie, furie, mânie, scandal și calomnie, împreună cu orice răutate.
32 And become good toward each other, compassionate, forgiving each other, even as also God in Christ forgave us.
Și fiți buni unii cu alții, blânzi la inimă, iertându-vă unii pe alții, după cum și Dumnezeu v-a iertat pe voi în Hristos.
