< Deuteronomy 8 >

1 All the commandment which I command thee this day ye shall observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers.

2 And thou shall remember all the way which Jehovah thy God has led thee these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble thee, to prove thee, to know what was in thy heart, whether thou would keep his commandments, or not.

3 And he humbled thee, and allowed thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knew not, neither did thy fathers know, that he might make thee know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of Jehovah.

4 Thy raiment did not grow old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

5 And thou shall consider in thy heart, that, as a man chastens his son, so Jehovah thy God chastens thee.

6 And thou shall keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

7 For Jehovah thy God brings thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills;
Na'ankure Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'a rama'a tinkagomu megeno, agonafine agupofinena rama'a ti kampui hanatino enevia knare mopafi tamavreno unefre.
8 a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey,
Hagi ana mopa witima, balima, waini ragama, fiki zafaramima, pomegreneti zafa rgaramima, olivi zafane, tumerimo'ma avite'nea mope.
9 a land in which thou shall eat bread without scarceness. Thou shall not lack anything in it, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou may dig copper.
Hagi ana mopafina ne'zamo'a avitegeno, ne'zanku atupa osu mope. Ana nehigeno ainima e'neri'za havemo'ene kopama e'neri'za havemo'a agonaramimpina me'neankita kafita erigahaze.
10 And thou shall eat and be full, and thou shall bless Jehovah thy God for the good land which he has given thee.
Hagi tamagrama ne'zama neramu'ma nehanuta, Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamofo agi'a erisga hiho. Na'ankure Agra knare mopa tami'ne.
11 Beware lest thou forget Jehovah thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

12 Lest, when thou have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and dwelt in it,

13 and when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou have is multiplied,

14 then thy heart be lifted up, and thou forget Jehovah thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage,
Hagi ana zankura musena huta tamavufga ra nehuta, Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo'ma Isipima kazokazo eri'zama e'nerita mani'nazageno tamazama huno tamavreno'ma atirami'nea Ra Anumzankura tamagera okaniho.
15 who led thee through the great and terrible wilderness-fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where was no water-who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint,
Agrama vugota huramanteno hagage huno tusi amuho hu'nea ka'ma kokampima ha' osifavemo'zane ha' segintavemo'zanena hakare hu'nefi nevuno, havefinti'ma tima erifore'ma hurami'nea zanku'enena tamagera okaniho.
16 who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers did not know, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end.
Hagi ka'ma kokampima tamafahe'mo'za ne'za onke'naza ne'za manama tami'neana, anteramino'ma mani avu'ava'zane tamagrama knare huta manisagu reramaheno kenaku anara hu'ne.
17 And lest thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
Hagi ru tamagra huta tagra hankavereti ama fenona eritru hune hutama huzanku, e'i anara hu'ne.
18 But thou shall remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he who gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to thy fathers, as at this day.
Hu'neanagi Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamo hankavea tami'nigeta feno vahera manigahazanki, tamagera akanionteho. E'i ana'ma haniana tamafahe'ima huvempa huno huhagerafi'nea kea eri knare hugahie.
19 And it shall be, if thou shall forget Jehovah thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

20 As the nations that Jehovah makes to perish before you, so shall ye perish, because ye would not hearken to the voice of Jehovah your God.
Hagi Ra Anumzana tamagri Anumzamofo kema ontahisageno'a, tamavugama me'nea mopafi vahe'ma zamahe fananema hu'neaza huno, tamahe fanane hugahie.
