Deuteronomy 27
1 And Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.
Moisés, con los ancianos de Israel, mandó al pueblo: Guarden todos los Mandamientos que les ordeno hoy.
2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over the Jordan to the land which Jehovah thy God gives thee, that thou shall set up for thee great stones, and plaster them with plaster.
El día cuando pases el Jordán hacia la tierra que Yavé tu ʼElohim te da, te erigirás unas piedras grandes y las enlucirás con cal.
3 And thou shall write upon them all the words of this law when thou have passed over, that thou may go in to the land which Jehovah thy God gives thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, has promised thee.
Escribirás sobre ellas todas las Palabras de esta Ley, tan pronto como pases para entrar en la tierra que Yavé tu ʼElohim te da, tierra que fluye leche y miel, como te dijo Yavé, el ʼElohim de tus antepasados.
4 And it shall be, when ye have passed over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shall plaster them with plaster.
Así que cuando cruces el Jordán, erigirás en la montaña Ebal estas piedras que yo les mando hoy, y las enlucirás con cal.
5 And there thou shall build an altar to Jehovah thy God, an altar of stones. Thou shall lift up no iron upon them.
Edificarás allí un altar de piedras a Yavé tu ʼElohim. No alzarás herramienta de hierro sobre ellas.
6 Thou shall build the altar of Jehovah thy God of unhewn stones. And thou shall offer burnt offerings on it to Jehovah thy God.
Construirás el altar de Yavé tu ʼElohim de piedras enteras, y ofrecerás sobre él holocausto a Yavé tu ʼElohim.
7 And thou shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there, and thou shall rejoice before Jehovah thy God.
Allí sacrificarás ofrendas de paz, comerás, te regocijarás delante de Yavé tu ʼElohim,
8 And thou shall write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
y escribirás muy claramente sobre las piedras todas las Palabras de esta Ley.
9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, Keep silence, and hearken, O Israel. This day thou have become the people of Jehovah thy God.
Después Moisés y los levitas sacerdotes hablaron a todo Israel, y dijeron: Guarda silencio y escucha, oh Israel. Hoy eres pueblo de Yavé tu ʼElohim.
10 Thou shall therefore obey the voice of Jehovah thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
Así que escucharás la voz de Yavé tu ʼElohim y cumplirás sus Mandamientos y Estatutos que yo te ordeno hoy.
11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
También Moisés mandó al pueblo aquel día:
12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye have passed over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
Cuando pases el Jordán, éstos estarán en la montaña Gerizim para bendecir al pueblo: Simeón, Leví, Judá, Isacar, José y Benjamín.
13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
Éstos estarán en la montaña Ebal para pronunciar la maldición: Rubén, Gad, Aser, Zabulón, Dan y Neftalí.
14 And the Levites shall answer, and say to all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
Entonces los levitas hablarán y dirán en voz alta a todos los hombres de Israel:
15 Cursed be the man who makes a graven or molten image, an abomination to Jehovah, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret. And all the people shall answer and say, Truly.
¡Maldito el hombre que haga un ídolo o una imagen de fundición, repugnancia a Yavé, obra de manos de artesano, y la erija en secreto! Y todo el pueblo responderá: ¡Amén!
16 Cursed be he who dishonors his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que deshonre a su padre o a su madre! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
17 Cursed be he who removes his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que mueva el lindero de su vecino! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
18 Cursed be he who makes the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que extravíe al ciego en el camino! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
19 Cursed be he who distorts the justice to the sojourner, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que pervierta el derecho del extranjero, del huérfano y de la viuda! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
20 Cursed be he who lies with his father's wife, because he has uncovered his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que se una a la esposa de su padre, porque descubre la falda de su padre! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
21 Cursed be he who lies with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que se ayunte con cualquier animal! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
22 Cursed be he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que se una a su hermana, hija de su padre o hija de su madre! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
23 Cursed be he who lies with his mother-in-law. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que se una a su suegra! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
24 Cursed be he who smites his neighbor in secret. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que asesine a su prójimo en lo oculto! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
25 Cursed be he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent man. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que reciba soborno para matar al inocente! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
26 Cursed is every man who does not continue in all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Truly.
¡Maldito el que no confirme las palabras de esta Ley para cumplirlas! Y todo el pueblo dirá: ¡Amén!
