Deuteronomy 16

1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to Jehovah thy God, for in the month of Abib Jehovah thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

Guarda o mez d'Abib, e celebra a paschoa ao Senhor teu Deus: porque no mez d'Abib o Senhor teu Deus te tirou do Egypto, de noite.

2 And thou shall sacrifice the Passover to Jehovah thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Jehovah shall choose to cause his name to dwell there.

Então sacrificarás a paschoa ao Senhor teu Deus, ovelhas e vaccas, no logar que o Senhor escolher para ali fazer habitar o seu nome.

3 Thou shall eat no leavened bread with it. Seven days thou shall eat unleavened bread with it, even the bread of affliction, for thou came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste, that thou may remember the day when thou came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.

N'ella não comerás levedado: sete dias n'ella comerás pães asmos, pão d'afflicção (porquanto apressadamente saiste da terra do Egypto), para que te lembres do dia da tua saida da terra do Egypto, todos os dias da tua vida.

4 And there shall be no leaven seen with thee in all thy borders seven days. Neither shall any of the flesh, which thou sacrifice the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning.

Levedado não apparecerá comtigo por sete dias em todos os teus termos: tambem da carne que matares á tarde, no primeiro dia, nada ficará até á manhã

5 Thou may not sacrifice the Passover within any of thy gates, which Jehovah thy God gives thee,

Não poderás sacrificar a paschoa em nenhuma das tuas portas que te dá o Senhor teu Deus;

6 but at the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose to cause his name to dwell in, there thou shall sacrifice the Passover at evening, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou came forth out of Egypt.

Senão no logar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus, para fazer habitar o seu nome, ali sacrificarás a paschoa á tarde, ao pôr do sol, ao tempo determinado da tua saida do Egypto.

7 And thou shall roast and eat it in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, and thou shall turn in the morning, and go to thy tents.

Então a cozerás, e comerás no logar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus; depois virás pela manhã, e irás ás tuas tendas

8 Six days thou shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to Jehovah thy God. Thou shall do no work.

Seis dias comerás pães asmos e no setimo dia é solemnidade ao Senhor teu Deus: nenhuma obra farás.

9 Thou shall number to thee seven weeks. From the time thou begin to put the sickle to the standing grain thou shall begin to number seven weeks.

Sete semanas contarás; desde que a foice começar na seara começarás a contar as sete semanas.

10 And thou shall keep the feast of weeks to Jehovah thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering from thy hand, which thou shall give, according as Jehovah thy God blesses thee.

Depois celebrarás a festa das semanas ao Senhor teu Deus; o que déres será tributo voluntario da tua mão, segundo o Senhor teu Deus te tiver abençoado.

11 And thou shall rejoice before Jehovah thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite who is within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in the midst of thee, in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there,

E te alegrarás perante o Senhor teu Deus, tu, e teu filho, e tua filha, e o teu servo, e a tua serva, e o levita que está dentro das tuas portas, e o estrangeiro, e o orphão, e a viuva, que estão no meio de ti, no logar que escolher o Senhor teu Deus para ali fazer habitar o seu nome.

12 and thou shall remember that thou were a bondman in Egypt. And thou shall observe and do these statutes.

E lembrar-te-has de que foste servo no Egypto: e guardarás estes estatutos, e os farás.

13 Thou shall keep the feast of tabernacles seven days after thou have gathered in from thy threshing-floor and from thy winepress.

A festa dos tabernaculos guardarás sete dias, quando colheres da tua eira e do teu lagar.

14 And thou shall rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within thy gates.

E na tua festa te alegrarás, tu, e teu filho, e tua filha, e o teu servo, e a tua serva, e o levita, e o estrangeiro, e o orphão, e a viuva, que estão das tuas portas para dentro.

15 Seven days thou shall keep a feast to Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah shall choose, because Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the work of thy hands, and thou shall be altogether joyful.

Sete dias celebrarás a festa ao Senhor teu Deus, no logar que o Senhor escolher: porque o Senhor teu Deus te ha de abençoar em toda a tua colheita, e em toda a obra das tuas mãos; pelo que te alegrarás certamente.

16 Three times in a year all thy males shall appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles. And they shall not appear before Jehovah empty.

Tres vezes no anno todo o macho entre ti apparecerá perante o Senhor teu Deus, no logar que escolher, na festa dos pães asmos, e na festa das semanas, e na festa dos tabernaculos; porém não apparecerá vazio perante o Senhor:

17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he has given thee.

Cada qual, conforme ao dom da sua mão, conforme á benção do Senhor teu Deus, que te tiver dado.

18 Thou shall make judges and officers for thee in all thy gates, which Jehovah thy God gives thee, according to thy tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

Juizes e officiaes porás em todas as tuas portas que o Senhor teu Deus te der entre as tuas tribus, para que julguem o povo com juizo de justiça.

19 Thou shall not distort justice. Thou shall not respect persons, neither shall thou take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.

Não torcerás o juizo, não farás accepção de pessoas, nem tomarás peitas; porquanto a peita cega os olhos dos sabios, e perverte as palavras dos justos

20 Thou shall follow that which is altogether just, that thou may live, and inherit the land which Jehovah thy God gives thee.

A justiça, a justiça seguirás; para que vivas, e possuas a terra que te dará o Senhor teu Deus.

21 Thou shall not plant for thee an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of Jehovah thy God, which thou shall make for thee.

Não plantarás nenhum bosque d'arvores junto ao altar do Senhor teu Deus, que fizeres para ti,

22 Neither shall thou set up a pillar for thee, which Jehovah thy God hates.

Nem levantarás estatua, a qual aborrece o Senhor teu Deus.
