Deuteronomy 10
1 At that time Jehovah said to me, Hew thee two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to me onto the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
௧அக்காலத்திலே யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி: “நீ முன்னிருந்ததைப் போலவே இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை வெட்டிக்கொண்டு, மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, என்னிடத்திற்கு வா; ஒரு மரப்பெட்டியையும் செய்வாயாக.
2 And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which thou broke, and thou shall put them in the ark.
௨நீ உடைத்துப்போட்ட முந்தின பலகைகளில் இருந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் அந்தப் பலகைகளில் எழுதுவேன்; நீ அவைகளைப் பெட்டியிலே வைப்பாயாக என்றார்.
3 So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tablets of stone like the first, and went up onto the mount, having the two tablets in my hand.
௩அப்படியே நான் சீத்திம் மரத்தினால் ஒரு பெட்டியைச் செய்து, முன்னிருந்ததைப் போலவே இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை வெட்டி, அவைகளை என் கையிலே எடுத்துக்கொண்டு மலையில் ஏறினேன்.
4 And he wrote on the tablets according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Jehovah spoke to you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly, and Jehovah gave them to me.
௪முன்னே சபைகூடிவந்த நாளில் யெகோவா, மலையில் அக்கினி நடுவிலிருந்து உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன பத்துக்கற்பனைகளையும் முன்பு அவர் எழுதியிருந்ததுபோலவே அந்தப் பலகைகளில் எழுதி, அவைகளை என்னிடத்தில் தந்தார்.
5 And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made. And they are there as Jehovah commanded me.
௫அப்பொழுது நான் திரும்பி மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி, அந்தப் பலகைகளை நான் செய்த பெட்டியிலே வைத்தேன்; யெகோவா எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவைகள் அதிலே வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
6 (And the sons of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried, and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.
௬பின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் பெனெயாக்கானுக்கடுத்த பேரோத்திலேயிருந்து மோசெராவுக்குப் பிரயாணம்செய்தார்கள்; அங்கே ஆரோன் மரணமடைந்து, அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய இடத்திலே அவன் மகனாகிய எலெயாசார் ஆசாரியனானான்.
7 From there they journeyed to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
௭அங்கேயிருந்து குத்கோதாவுக்கும், குத்கோதாவிலிருந்து ஆறுகளுள்ள நாடாகிய யோத்பாத்திற்கும் பிரயாணம்செய்தார்கள்.
8 At that time Jehovah set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
௮அக்காலத்திலே யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமப்பதற்கும், இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடந்துவருகிறதுபோல, யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலே நின்று அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்வதற்கும், அவருடைய நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆசீர்வதிப்பதற்கும், யெகோவா லேவியின் கோத்திரத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தார்.
9 Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers. Jehovah is his inheritance, according as Jehovah thy God spoke to him.)
௯ஆகையால் லேவிக்கு அவன் சகோதரர்களுடன் பங்கும் சொத்தும் இல்லை; உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அவனுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, யெகோவாவே அவனுக்கு சொத்து.
10 And I stayed on the mount as at the first time, forty days and forty nights, and Jehovah hearkened to me that time also: Jehovah would not destroy thee.
௧0“நான் முன்புபோலவே நாற்பது நாட்கள் இரவும்பகலும் மலையில் இருந்தேன்; யெகோவா அந்த முறையும் என் மன்றாட்டைக் கேட்டு, உன்னை அழிக்காமல் விட்டார்.
11 And Jehovah said to me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them.
௧௧யெகோவா என்னை நோக்கி: நான் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு வாக்களித்த தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் போய் அதைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வதற்காக, நீ எழுந்து, மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போ என்றார்.
12 And now, Israel, what does Jehovah thy God require of thee, but to fear Jehovah thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
௧௨“இப்பொழுதும் இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய வழிகளிலெல்லாம் நடந்து, அவரிடத்தில் அன்புசெலுத்தி, உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு,
13 to keep the commandments of Jehovah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
௧௩நான் இன்று உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற யெகோவாவுடைய கற்பனைகளையும் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளையும் உனக்கு நன்மையுண்டாவதற்கு கைக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்பதையே அல்லாமல், வேறே எதை உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்.
14 Behold, to Jehovah thy God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is in it.
௧௪இதோ, வானங்களும் வானாதிவானங்களும், பூமியும் அதிலுள்ள யாவும், உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடையவைகள்.
15 Only Jehovah had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples as at this day.
௧௫ஆனாலும் யெகோவா உன் முற்பிதாக்கள்மேல் அன்புசெலுத்துவதற்காக அவர்களிடத்தில் பிரியம் வைத்து, அவர்களுக்குப் பின் அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியாகிய உங்களை, இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடியே, சகல மக்களுக்குள்ளும் தமக்கென்று தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
௧௬ஆகையால் நீங்கள் இனி நீங்கள் பிடிவாதம் செய்யாமல், உங்கள் இருதயத்தை சுத்தம் செய்யுங்கள்.
17 For Jehovah your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who regards not persons, nor takes reward.
௧௭உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா தேவாதி தேவனும், கர்த்தாதி கர்த்தரும், மகத்துவமும் வல்லமையும் பயங்கரமுமான தேவனுமாக இருக்கிறார்; அவர் பட்சபாதம்செய்கிறவரும் அல்ல, லஞ்சம் வாங்குகிறவரும் அல்ல.
18 He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the sojourner in giving him food and raiment.
௧௮அவர் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும் விதவைக்கும் நியாயம்செய்கிறவரும், அந்நியன்மேல் அன்புவைத்து அவனுக்கு உணவும் உடையும் கொடுக்கிறவருமாக இருக்கிறார்.
19 Love ye therefore the sojourner, for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
௧௯நீங்களும் எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அந்நியர்களாக இருந்ததினால், அந்நியர்களைச் சிநேகிப்பீர்களாக.
20 Thou shall fear Jehovah thy God. Him thou shall serve, and to him thou shall cling, and by his name thou shall swear.
௨0உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து, அவரைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுவாயாக.
21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, who has done for thee these great and awesome things, which thine eyes have seen.
௨௧அவரே உன் புகழ்ச்சி; உன் கண்கள் கண்ட இந்தப் பெரிய பயங்கரமான காரியங்களை உன்னிடத்தில் செய்த உன்னுடைய தேவன் அவரே.
22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt, in souls, seventy. And now Jehovah thy God has made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
௨௨உன் முற்பிதாக்கள் எழுபதுபேராக எகிப்திற்குப் போனார்கள்; இப்பொழுதோ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னுடைய பெருக்கத்திலே வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களைப் போலாக்கினார்.
