Deuteronomy 1

1 These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah opposite Suph, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Di-zahab.

၁တောကြီး လွင်ပြင် ၊ ယော်ဒန် မြစ်နား ၊ သုဖမြို့ တဘက် ၊ ပါရန် မြို့၊ တောဖလ မြို့၊ လာဗန် မြို့၊ ဟာဇရုတ် မြို့၊ ဒိဇဟတ် မြို့တို့အလယ်၌ မောရှေ သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့အား ဟောပြော သောစကား များကို ပြန်ရ လေသည်မှာ၊

2 It is eleven days journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea.

၂ကာဒေရှဗာနာ အရပ်သည်၊ စိရ တောင် လမ်း ဖြင့် ဟောရပ် အရပ်နှင့် ဆယ် တ ရက် ခရီး ကွာသတည်း။

3 And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, according to all that Jehovah had given him in commandment to them,

4 after he had smitten Sihon the king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, who dwelt in Ashtaroth, at Edrei.

5 Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, Moses began to declare this law, saying,

၅မောရှေ သည် ဟေရှဘုန် မြို့၌ နေ သော အာမောရိ ရှင်ဘုရင် ရှိဟုန် ကို ၎င်း ၊ ဧဒြိ ပြည်၊ အာရှတရုတ် မြို့၌ နေ သော ဗာရှန် ဘုရင် ဩဃ ကို ၎င်း လုပ်ကြံ ပြီးမှ ၊ သက္ကရာဇ် လေးဆယ် ပြည့်၊ ဧကာဒသမ လ ၊ ပဌမ နေ့ရက်၌ မောဘ ပြည် ၊ ယော်ဒန် မြစ်နားမှာ ထာဝရဘုရား မှာထား တော်မူနှင့်သမျှ အတိုင်း ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့အား ဆင့်ဆို ၍ဟောပြော သောတရား စကားဟူမူကား၊

6 Jehovah our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough at this mountain.

၆ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည်၊ ဟောရပ် အရပ်၌ ငါ တို့အား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင် တို့သည် ကာလအချိန်စေ့အောင် ဤ တောင် ၌ နေ ကြပြီ။

7 Turn, and take your journey, and go to the hill-country of the Amorites, and to all the places near thereto, in the Arabah, in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and in the South, and by the sea-shore, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.

၇လှည့်လည် ၍ ခရီး သွားကြလော့။ အာမောရိ တောင် သို့၎င်း ၊ ထိုတောင် နှင့် နီး သောအရပ်၊ လွင်ပြင် ၊ တောင် ရိုး၊ ချိုင့် ၊ တောင် မျက်နှာ၊ ပင်လယ် နား သို့၎င်း ၊ ခါနာန် ပြည် ၊ လေဗနုန် တောင်၊ ဥဖရတ် မြစ် ကြီး တိုင်အောင် ၎င်း သွား ကြလော့။

8 Behold, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their seed after them.

၈ထိုပြည် ကို သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှာ ငါထား ပြီ။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့အဘ အာဗြဟံ ၊ ဣဇာက် ၊ ယာကုပ် မှစ၍ ၊ သူ တို့အမျိုးအနွယ် အား ပေး မည်ဟု ကျိန်ဆို တော်မူသောပြည် ကို ဝင် ၍ သိမ်းယူ ကြလော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

9 And I spoke to you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone.

၉ထိုအခါ သင် တို့အား ငါပြော သည်ကား၊ သင် တို့အမှုကို ငါ တယောက်တည်း မ ထမ်း နိုင်။

10 Jehovah your God has multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

၁၀သင် တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့ကို များပြား စေတော်မူ၍ ၊ သင် တို့သည် အရေ အတွက်အားဖြင့် ကောင်းကင် ကြယ် ကဲ့သို့ ယနေ့ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

11 Jehovah, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as ye are, and bless you, as he has promised you!

၁၁သင် တို့အဘ များ၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့ကို အဆ အထောင် အားဖြင့် များပြား စေတော်မူပါစေသော။ ဂတိ တော်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း ကောင်းကြီး ပေးတော်မူပါစေသော။

12 How can I myself alone bear your encumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?

၁၂သင်တို့ပင်ပန်းခြင်း၊ အမှု ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်း၊ ရန်တွေ့ ခြင်းဝန် ကို ငါ တယောက်တည်း အဘယ်သို့ ထမ်း နိုင် မည်နည်း။

13 Take for you wise men, and understanding, and known, according to your tribes, and I will make them heads over you.

၁၃ဉာဏ် ပညာနှင့် ပြည့်စုံ ၍ အသရေ ရှိသောသူတို့ ကို သင် တို့အမျိုး များထဲက ရွေး ပေးကြလော့။ သူ တို့ကို မင်း အရာ၌ ငါခန့် ထားမည်ဟု ပြော ဆိုလျှင်၊

14 And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou have spoken is good to do.

၁၄သင်တို့က ကိုယ်တော်ပြော သည်အတိုင်း ပြု ကောင်း ပါသည်ဟု ပြန် ဆိုကြ၏။

15 So I took the heads of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties, and captains of tens, and officers, according to your tribes.

၁၅ထိုကြောင့် သင် တို့အမျိုး များ၌ အသရေ ရှိသော လူကြီး ၊ ပညာ ရှိတို့ကို ငါရွေးချယ် ပြီးလျှင် ၊ သင် တို့တွင် မင်း လုပ် ရသောသူတည်း ဟူသောလူတထောင် အုပ် ၊ တရာ အုပ် ၊ ငါးဆယ် အုပ် ၊ တဆယ် အုပ် ၊ အကြပ် အဆော်အရာ ၌ ခန့်ထား၏။

16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear between your brothers, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the sojourner who is with him.

၁၆တရား သူကြီးတို့အားလည်း ၊ သင် တို့ညီအစ်ကို ၏ အမှုတို့ကို နားထောင် ၍ အမျိုးသားချင်း တရားတွေ့ သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ တပါး အမျိုးသားနှင့် တွေ့သည်ဖြစ်စေ ၊ တရား သဖြင့် စီရင် ကြလော့။

17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment. Ye shall hear the small and the great alike. Ye shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God's. And the case that is too hard for you ye shall bring to me, and I will hear it.

၁၇တရား အမှုကို စီရင်သောအခါအဘယ်သူ၏ မျက်နှာ ကို မ ထောက် ရ။ လူငယ် စကားကို လူကြီး စကားကဲ့သို့ မှတ် ရမည်။ အဘယ် လူကိုမျှ မ ကြောက် ရ။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ တရား အမှုကို ဘုရား သခင်ပိုင်တော်မူသောကြောင့် တည်း။ ကိုယ်တိုင်မစီရင်တတ်သော အမှု ကို ငါ့ ထံမှာ အယူခံ ရမည်။ ငါလည်း နားထောင် မည်ဟု မှာခဲ့၏။

18 And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.

၁၈သင် တို့ပြု ရသမျှ သော အမှု တို့ကိုလည်း ထိုအခါ ငါမှာ ထားခဲ့၏။

19 And we journeyed from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which ye saw, by the way to the hill-country of the Amorites, as Jehovah our God commanded us, and we came to Kadesh-barnea.

၁၉ငါတို့သည် ဟောရပ် အရပ်မှ ထွက် သောနောက် ၊ အာမောရိ တောင် သို့ သွားသော လမ်း နားမှာ ကြောက်မက် ဘွယ်ဖြစ်၍ သင်တို့တွေ့မြင် သော တော ကြီး အလယ် ၌၊ ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား မှာ ထားတော်မူသည် အတိုင်း ရှောက်သွား ၍ ၊ ကာဒေရှဗာနာ အရပ်သို့ ရောက် ကြ၏။

20 And I said to you, Ye have come to the hill-country of the Amorites, which Jehovah our God gives to us.

၂၀ထိုအခါ ငါကလည်း၊ ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ပေး တော်မူသောအာမောရိ တောင် သို့ သင် တို့သည် ရောက် ကြပြီ။

21 Behold, Jehovah thy God has set the land before thee. Go up, take possession, as Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, has spoken to thee. Fear not, neither be dismayed.

၂၁သင် တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ပြည် တော်ကို သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှာထား တော်မူပြီ။ သင် တို့အဘ များ၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည် အတိုင်း ၊ တက် သွား၍ သိမ်းယူ ကြလော့။ မ ကြောက် ကြနှင့်။ စိတ် လည်း မ ပျက်ကြနှင့်ဟု ပြော ဆို၏။

22 And ye came near to me, all of you, and said, Let us send men before us, that they may search the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up, and the cities to which we shall come.

၂၂ထိုအခါ သင် တို့ရှိသမျှ သည် ငါ့ ထံသို့ ချဉ်းကပ် ၍ ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ရှေ့ ၌ လူ တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ပါမည်။ သူတို့သည် ထိုပြည် ကို စူးစမ်း ပြီးမှ ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် အဘယ်လမ်း သို့သွား လျှင် အဘယ်မြို့ သို့ ရောက် ရမည်ကို ကြားပြော ကြပါ လိမ့်မည်ဟု၊

23 And the thing pleased me well. And I took twelve men of you, one man for every tribe.

၂၃လျှောက်ဆိုသောစကား ကို ငါ နှစ်သက် ၍ ၊ သင် တို့တွင် တမျိုး တယောက် စီ၊ လူ ပေါင်း တကျိပ် နှစ် ယောက်တို့ကို ရွေး ထား၏။

24 And they turned and went up into the hill-country, and came to the valley of Eshcol, and spied it out.

၂၄ထိုသူတို့သည် တောင် ပေါ်သို့ လှည့် သွား ၍ ၊ ဧရှကောလ ချိုင့် သို့ ရောက် သဖြင့် စူးစမ်း ကြ၏။

25 And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which Jehovah our God gives to us.

၂၅ထိုပြည် ၌ ရသောသစ်သီး ကို ထမ်း ၍ ဆောင် ခဲ့ လျက် ၊ ငါ တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ပေး တော်မူသောပြည် သည် ကောင်း သော ပြည်ဖြစ်၏ဟု ကြားပြော ကြသော်လည်း၊

26 Yet ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah your God.

၂၆သင်တို့သည် မ သွား ဘဲ၊ သင် တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အမိန့် တော်ကို ဆန် လျက်၊

27 And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because Jehovah hated us, he has brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

၂၇ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ တို့ကိုမုန်း ၍ ဖျက်ဆီး ချင် သောကြောင့် ၊ အာမောရိ လူတို့ လက် ၌ အပ် လိုသောငှါ ၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် မှ နှုတ်ဆောင် တော်မူသည်တကား။

28 Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our heart to melt, saying, The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to heaven, and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.

၂၈ငါ တို့သည် အဘယ်သို့ သွား ရမည်နည်း။ ညီအစ်ကို တို့က၊ ထို ပြည်သားတို့သည် ငါ တို့ထက်သာ၍ကြီး ၏။ အရပ်လည်း သာ ၍မြင့် ၏။ မြို့ လည်း မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်သို့ ထိသော မြို့ရိုး လည်း ရှိ၏။ ထို ပြည်၌ လည်း ၊ အာနက အမျိုးသား တို့ကို မြင် ရ၏ဟု ငါတို့စိတ် ကို ဖျက် ကြပြီဟု သင် တို့သည် တဲ များ၌ ဆန့်ကျင် ဘက်ပြုကြ ၏။

29 Then I said to you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.

၂၉ထိုအခါ ငါက၊ မ ထိတ်လန့် ကြနှင့်၊ သူ တို့ကို မ ကြောက် ကြနှင့်။

30 Jehovah your God who goes before you, he will fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

၃၀သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှာကြွ တော်မူသော သင် တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့မျက်မှောက် ၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်၌ ၎င်း၊

31 and in the wilderness, where thou have seen how that Jehovah thy God bore thee, as a man bears his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came to this place.

၃၁သင်တို့လိုက်လာသောလမ်း တလျှောက်လုံး ၊ ဤ အရပ် တိုင်အောင် အဘသည် သား ကို ချီပိုက် သကဲ့သို့ ၊ သင် တို့၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့ကို ချီပိုက် တော်မူသောကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုခံ ရာတော ၌ ၎င်း ၊ သင် တို့အဘို့ ပြု တော်မူသကဲ့သို့ ၊ သင် တို့ဘက် ၌ စစ် ကူ တော်မူမည်ဟု ဆိုသော်လည်း၊

32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe Jehovah your God,

၃၂သင် တို့တဲ စားခန်းချရာ အရပ် ကို ရှာ ၍ သင်တို့သွား လတံ့သော လမ်း ကို ပြ ခြင်းငှါ ၊ ညဉ့် ခါ မီး ၌ ၎င်း၊ နေ့ အခါ မိုဃ်းတိမ် ၌ ၎င်း၊

33 who went before you in the way, to seek out a place for you to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way ye should go, and in the cloud by day.

၃၃သင် တို့ရှေ့ မှာ ကြွ တော်မူသော သင် တို့ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ စကားတော်ကို ထို အမှု ၌ သင် တို့မ ယုံ ကြပါတကား။

34 And Jehovah heard the voice of your words, and was angry, and swore, saying,

၃၄သင် တို့စကား သံ ကို ထာဝရဘုရား ကြား ၍ မျက် တော်ထွက်လျက်၊

35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see the good land, which I swore to give to your fathers,

၃၅သူတို့ဘိုးဘေး တို့အား ငါပေး မည်ဟု ငါကျိန်ဆို သော ပြည် ကောင်း ကို ၊ ယေဖုန္နာ ၏သား ကာလက် မှတပါး ၊ ဤ ဆိုး သောလူမျိုး တစုံ တယောက်မျှ ဆက်ဆက်မ မြင် ရ။

36 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh. He shall see it, and I will give to him the land that he has trodden upon, and to his sons, because he has wholly followed Jehovah.

၃၆ထိုသူ သည် ထာဝရဘုရား နောက် တော်သို့ လုံးလုံး လိုက်သောကြောင့် မြင် ရ၏။ သူနင်း သောပြည် ကို သူ မှစ၍ သူ ၏သား မြေးတို့အား ငါပေး မည်ဟု ကျိန်ဆိုတော်မူ၏။

37 Also Jehovah was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shall not go in there.

၃၇သင် တို့အတွက် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ ကိုလည်း အမျက် တော်ထွက်၍ ၊ သင် သည် ထို ပြည်သို့ မ ဝင် စားရ။

38 Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before thee, he shall go in there. Encourage thou him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

၃၈သင့် လက်ထောက် နုန် ၏သား ယောရှု သည် ဝင်စား ရမည်။ သူ သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားအမွေခံ စေမည့်သူ ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် ၊ သူ့ ကို အား ပေးလော့။

39 Moreover your little ones, who ye said would be a prey, and your sons, who this day have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there, and I will give it to them, and they shall possess it.

၃၉ရန်သူလုယူ ရာဖြစ် မည်ဟု သင် တို့ဆို သော သူငယ် များ၊ ထိုအခါ ကောင်း မ ကောင်းကို ပိုင်းခြားမ သိနိုင် သေးသော သားသမီး များတို့သည် ထို ပြည်ကို ဝင်စား ၍ ၊ ငါပေး သည်အတိုင်း သိမ်းယူ ကြလိမ့်မည်။

40 But as for you, turn, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.

၄၀သင် တို့မူကား ၊ လှည့် ၍ဧဒုံ ပင်လယ် လမ်း ဖြင့် တော သို့ခရီး သွားကြဦးလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

41 Then ye answered and said to me, We have sinned against Jehovah, we will go up and fight according to all that Jehovah our God commanded us. And ye girded on every man his weapons of war, and were forward to go up into the hill-country.

၄၁သင်တို့ကလည်း ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ပြစ်မှား မိပါပြီ။ အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား မှာ ထားတော်မူသမျှ အတိုင်း ၊ ယခုသွား ၍ စစ်တိုက် ပါမည်ဟု ငါ့ အား လျှောက်ဆို လျက် ၊ လူ အပေါင်းတို့သည် လက်နက် စွဲကိုင် လျက် ၊ တောင် ပေါ်သို့ တက် ခြင်းငှါ အသင့် နေကြ၏။

42 And Jehovah said to me, Say to them, Do not go up, neither fight, for I am not among you, lest ye be smitten before your enemies.

၄၂ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ တက် ၍ မ တိုက် ကြနှင့်။ သင် တို့ဘက် ၌ ငါ မ ရှိ။ တိုက်လျှင် ရန်သူ ရှေ့ မှာ ရှုံး ရကြ လိမ့်မည်ဟု သင်တို့အား ဆင့်ဆို ရမည်အကြောင်း ၊ ငါ့ အား မိန့် တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊

43 So I spoke to you, and ye did not hearken, but ye rebelled against the commandment of Jehovah, and were presumptuous, and went up into the hill-country.

၄၃ငါဆင့်ဆို သော်လည်း သင် တို့သည် နား မ ထောင်၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ အမိန့် တော်ကို ငြင်းဆန် ၍ ခိုင်ခံ့ သောစိတ်နှင့် တောင် ပေါ်သို့ တက် ကြ၏။

44 And the Amorites, who dwelt in that hill-country, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and beat you down in Seir, even to Hormah.

၄၄ထိုအခါ တောင် ပေါ် မှာရှိ နှင့်သော အာမောရိ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် သင် တို့တဘက် ၌ ထွက် လာလျက်၊ ပျား များအုံ၍ လိုက် သကဲ့သို့ သင် တို့ကိုလိုက် ၍ ၊ စိရ အရပ်၊ ဟောမာ မြို့တိုင်အောင် ဖျက်ဆီး ကြ၏။

45 And ye returned and wept before Jehovah, but Jehovah did not hearken to your voice, nor gave ear to you.

၄၅သင်တို့သည်လည်း ပြန်လာ ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ငိုကြွေး ကြ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း သင် တို့စကား ကို ထာဝရဘုရား နားထောင် နာယူ တော်မ မူ။

46 So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according to the days that ye abode there.

၄၆ထိုကြောင့် ကာဒေရှ အရပ်၌ အရင်နေ သကဲ့သို့ ကြာမြင့် စွာ နေ ပြန်ရကြ၏။
