Daniel 12
1 And at that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands for the sons of thy people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the book.
Y en ese momento, Miguel tomará su lugar, el gran príncipe, que es el defensor de los hijos de tu pueblo; y habrá tiempos de angustias, como nunca hubo desde el momento en que hubo una nación, hasta entonces; y en ese tiempo tu gente estará a salvo, todos los que están registrados en el libro.
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Y algunos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra saldrán de su sueño, algunos para la vida eterna y otros para la vergüenza y confusión eterna.
3 And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
Y los sabios brillarán como la luz del cielo extendido; y aquellos por quienes muchos se han convertido en justicia, serán como las estrellas por los siglos de los siglos.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Pero en cuanto a ti, oh Daniel, deja que las palabras se mantengan en secreto y el libro se enrolle y se mantenga cerrado hasta el tiempo del fin; muchos correrán de aquí para allá y el conocimiento aumentará.
5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and, behold, another two stood, the one on the brink of the river on this side, and the other on the brink of the river on that side.
Entonces, Yo, Daniel, vi a otros dos, uno al borde del río de este lado y otro al borde del río del otro lado.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
Y le dije al hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río: ¿Cuánto tiempo pasará hasta el final de estas maravillas?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half. And when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Luego, al oírme, el hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre el río, levantando su mano derecha y su mano izquierda hacia el cielo, hizo un juramento por el que vive para siempre de que sería un tiempo, tiempos, y medio; y cuando el poder de la destrucción del pueblo santo llegue a su fin, todas estas cosas terminarán.
8 And I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?
Y las palabras vinieron a mis oídos, pero su sentido no me quedó claro; entonces dije: Oh mi señor, ¿cuál es el sentido de estas cosas?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.
Y él dijo: Sigue tu camino, Daniel: porque las palabras son secretas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin;
10 Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
Muchos serán refinados, emblanquecidos y purificados; y los malhechores harán el mal; porque ninguno de los malhechores entenderá; pero los sabios entenderán.
11 And from the time that the continual burnt offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days.
Y desde el momento en que se quita la ofrenda quemada regular, y se levanta algo inmundo que causa temor, habrá mil doscientos noventa días.
12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
Una bendición será para el hombre que sigue esperando, y llega a los mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.
13 But go thou thy way till the end is. For thou shall rest, and shall stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Pero tú, sigue tu camino hasta el fin, y descansarás y te levantarás en tu suerte; porque estarás en tu lugar al final de los días.
