Amos 2
1 Thus says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ: “ಮೋವಾಬಿನವರು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಮೂರು ಹೌದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಆಗಬೇಕಾದ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಎದೋಮಿನ ಅರಸನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು, ಸುಟ್ಟು ಸುಣ್ಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
ನಾನು ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಅದು ಕೆರೀಯೋತಿನ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದು. ಮೋವಾಬು ಆರ್ಭಟದ ಮತ್ತು ತುತೂರಿಯ ಧ್ವನಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವುದು.
3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst of it, and will kill all the rulers of it with him, says Jehovah.
ನಾನು ಅದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕುವೆನು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವೆನು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
4 Thus says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because they have rejected the law of Jehovah, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, according to which their fathers walked.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಯೆಹೂದದವರು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಮೂರು ಹೌದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಆಗಬೇಕಾದ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದ ಸುಳ್ಳು ದೇವರುಗಳೇ, ಇವರನ್ನು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪುವವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿವೆ.
5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಅದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದು.”
6 Thus says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because they have sold a righteous man for silver, and a needy man for a pair of shoes-
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ: “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನವರು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಮೂರು ಹೌದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಆಗಬೇಕಾದ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಜೋಡಿ ಕೆರಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರಿದರು.
7 those who pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek. And a man and his father go to the same maiden, to profane my holy name.
ಬಡವರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೀದಿಯ ಧೂಳಿನಂತೆ ತುಳಿದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ದೀನದಲಿತರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಂದೆಯೂ ಮಗನೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ಪವಿತ್ರ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿ ತರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
8 And they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge. And in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.
ಅವರು ಅಡವು ಇಟ್ಟ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಮಲಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಿದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
9 Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks, yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
“ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ದೇವದಾರು ಮರದಂತೆ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲೋನ್ ಮರದಂತೆ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದ, ಅಮೋರಿಯರನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಾಶ ಪಡಿಸಿದೆನು. ನಾನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅದರ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಅದರ ಬೇರನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಹಾಕುವಂತೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
10 Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
ನಾನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕರೆತಂದೆನು. ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸೊತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲು, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದೆನು.
11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye sons of Israel? says Jehovah.
“ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಜೀರರನ್ನೂ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದೆನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಜನರೇ, ಇದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲವೋ?” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
12 But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Do not Prophesy.
“ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನಾಜೀರರಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ. ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಿರಿ.
13 Behold, I will press you in your place, as a cart presses that is full of sheaves.
“ಇಗೋ, ಸಿವುಡು ತುಂಬಿದ ಬಂಡಿ ಒತ್ತುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಒತ್ತುವೆನು.
14 And flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, nor shall the mighty deliver himself.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಓಡುವವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳನು. ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನು ತನ್ನ ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು. ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳನು.
15 Neither shall he stand who handles the bow. And he who is swift of foot shall not deliver himself, nor shall he who rides the horse deliver himself.
ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಲ್ಲನು. ಪಾದತ್ವರಿತನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳನು. ಅಶ್ವಾರೂಢನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳನು.
16 And he who is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says Jehovah.
ಶೂರರಲ್ಲಿ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವನು, ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು,” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
