Acts 2
1 And while fulfilling the day of Pentecost, they were all together at the same place.
A gdy nadszedł dzień Pięćdziesiątnicy, wszyscy byli jednomyślnie na tym samym miejscu.
2 And suddenly there developed a sound from the sky as of a forceful wind moving, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
Nagle powstał odgłos z nieba, jakby uderzenie gwałtownego wiatru, i wypełnił cały dom, w którym siedzieli.
3 And there appeared to them dividing tongues, as of fire, and they settled upon each one of them.
Ukazały się im rozdzielone języki jakby z ognia, które spoczęły na każdym z nich.
4 And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them to declare.
I wszyscy zostali napełnieni Duchem Świętym, i zaczęli mówić innymi językami, tak jak im Duch pozwalał mówić.
5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.
A przebywali w Jerozolimie Żydzi, mężczyźni pobożni, ze wszystkich narodów pod niebem.
6 And the sound of this that happened brought the multitude together. And it was bewildered because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
A kiedy powstał ten szum, zeszło się mnóstwo [ludzi] i zdumieli się, bo każdy z nich słyszał ich mówiących [w jego] własnym języku.
7 And they were amazed and marveled, saying to each other, Behold, are not all these men who speak Galileans?
I pytali się nawzajem zdziwieni i pełni zdumienia: Czy ci wszyscy, którzy mówią, nie są Galilejczykami?
8 And how do we each hear our own language in which we were born?
Jak to jest, że każdy z nas słyszy swój własny język ojczysty?
9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, and Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
Partowie, Medowie, Elamici i ci, którzy mieszkają w Mezopotamii, Judei, Kapadocji, w Poncie i Azji;
10 and Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya along Cyrene, and those Roman aliens, including Jews and proselytes,
We Frygii, w Pamfilii, Egipcie i w częściach Libii, które leżą obok Cyreny, a także przybysze z Rzymu, [zarówno] Żydzi, [jak] i prozelici;
11 Cretes and Arabians. We hear them speaking in our tongues the great things of God.
Kreteńczycy i Arabowie – słyszymy ich głoszących w naszych językach wielkie dzieła Boże.
12 And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, others saying to others, Whatever does this intend to be?
I zdumiewali się wszyscy, i dziwili, mówiąc jeden do drugiego: Co to ma znaczyć?
13 But others, mocking said, They are filled of wine.
Lecz inni naśmiewali się i mówili: Upili się młodym winem.
14 But Peter having stood up with the eleven, raised his voice and spoke out to them, saying, Jewish men, and all who dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and listen to my sayings.
Wtedy stanął Piotr z jedenastoma, podniósł swój głos i przemówił do nich: Mężowie z Judei i wszyscy, którzy mieszkacie w Jerozolimie, przyjmijcie do wiadomości i posłuchajcie uważnie moich słów.
15 For these men are not drunken, as ye suppose, for it is the third hour of the day.
Oni bowiem nie są pijani, jak sądzicie, bo jest dopiero trzecia godzina dnia.
16 But this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel:
Ale to jest to, co zostało przepowiedziane przez proroka Joela:
17 And it will be in the last days, says God, I will pour out from my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your elders will dream dreams.
I stanie się w ostatecznych dniach – mówi Bóg – że wyleję z mego Ducha na wszelkie ciało i będą prorokować wasi synowie i córki, wasi młodzieńcy będą mieć widzenia, a starcy będą śnić sny.
18 And also on my bondmen and on my bondmaids in those days I will pour out from my Spirit, and they will prophesy.
Nawet na moje sługi i służebnice wyleję w tych dniach z mego Ducha i będą prorokować.
19 And I will give wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
I ukażę cuda na niebie w górze i znaki na ziemi na dole, krew, ogień i kłęby dymu.
20 The sun will be changed into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and wonderful day of the Lord comes.
Słońce zamieni się w ciemność, a księżyc w krew, zanim nadejdzie ten dzień Pański, wielki i okazały.
21 And it will be, that every man, whoever may call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
I stanie się, [że] każdy, kto wezwie imienia Pana, będzie zbawiony.
22 Men, Israelites, hear ye these words. Jesus the Nazarene, a man shown by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know,
Mężowie izraelscy, słuchajcie tych słów: Jezusa z Nazaretu, męża potwierdzonego przez Boga wśród was mocami, cudami i znakami, których Bóg dokonał przez niego wśród was, o czym sami wiecie;
23 this man, having been designated (by the purpose and foreknowledge of God) a man delivered up, ye, having taken by lawless hands, killed, having crucified,
Wydanego zgodnie z powziętym postanowieniem Boga oraz tym, co przedtem wiedział, wzięliście i rękami bezbożników ukrzyżowaliście i zabiliście.
24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.
Jego to Bóg wskrzesił, uwolniwszy od boleści śmierci, bo było niemożliwe, aby ta mogła go zatrzymać.
25 For David speaks for him: I beheld the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved.
Dawid bowiem mówi o nim: Patrzyłem na Pana zawsze przed moim obliczem, bo jest po [mojej] prawicy, żebym się nie zachwiał.
26 Because of this my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad. And moreover my flesh will also rest in hope.
Dlatego rozweseliło się moje serce i rozradował się mój język, a także moje ciało będzie spoczywać w nadziei.
27 Because thou will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will thou give thy Holy man to see decay. (Hadēs g86)
Nie zostawisz bowiem mojej duszy w piekle i nie dasz swojemu Świętemu doznać zniszczenia. (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou made known to me the paths of life. Thou will fill me of joy with thy countenance.
Dałeś mi poznać drogi życia, a twoje oblicze napełni mnie radością.
29 Men, brothers, being permitted to speak to you with openness about the patriarch David, that he both perished and was buried, and his sepulcher is with us to this day.
Mężowie bracia, mogę swobodnie mówić do was o patriarsze Dawidzie, że umarł i został pogrzebany, a jego grobowiec znajduje się u nas aż do dziś.
30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, to raise the Christ from the fruit of his loins according to flesh to sit upon his throne.
Będąc więc prorokiem i wiedząc, że Bóg zaręczył mu przysięgą, [iż] z owocu jego bioder, według ciała, wzbudzi Chrystusa i posadzi na jego tronie;
31 Having foreseen this, he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul was not left behind in Hades, nor did his flesh see decay. (Hadēs g86)
Przepowiadał [to] i mówił o zmartwychwstaniu Chrystusa, że jego dusza nie pozostanie w piekle, a jego ciało nie dozna zniszczenia. (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus, God raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
Tego to Jezusa wskrzesił Bóg, czego my wszyscy jesteśmy świadkami.
33 Therefore, exalted by the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he poured out this that ye now see and hear.
[Będąc] więc wywyższony prawicą Boga, otrzymał od Ojca obietnicę Ducha Świętego i wylał to, co wy teraz widzicie i słyszycie.
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand
Dawid bowiem nie wstąpił do nieba, a jednak sam mówi: Powiedział Pan memu Panu: Siądź po mojej prawicy;
35 until I place thine enemies a footstool of thy feet.
Aż położę twoich nieprzyjaciół jako podnóżek pod twoje stopy.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made him, this Jesus whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Niech więc cały dom Izraela wie z pewnością, że tego Jezusa, którego wy ukrzyżowaliście, Bóg uczynił i Panem, i Chrystusem.
37 Now having heard this, they were pierced in the heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, Men, brothers, what will we do?
A słysząc to, przerazili się do [głębi] serca i zapytali Piotra i pozostałych apostołów: Co mamy robić, mężowie bracia?
38 And Peter said to them, Repent ye, and be immersed each of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Wtedy Piotr powiedział do nich: Pokutujcie i niech każdy z was ochrzci się w imię Jezusa Chrystusa na przebaczenie grzechów, a otrzymacie dar Ducha Świętego.
39 For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all those in afar, as many as the Lord our God may call.
Obietnica ta bowiem dotyczy was, waszych dzieci i wszystkich, którzy są daleko, każdego, kogo powoła Pan, nasz Bóg.
40 And with many more other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this crooked generation.
W wielu też innych słowach dawał świadectwo i napominał ich: Ratujcie się od tego przewrotnego pokolenia.
41 Indeed therefore those who received his word gladly, were immersed. And there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
Ci więc, którzy chętnie przyjęli jego słowa, zostali ochrzczeni. I przyłączyło się tego dnia około trzech tysięcy dusz.
42 And they were continuing steadfastly in the apostles doctrine, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
Trwali oni w nauce apostołów, w społeczności, w łamaniu chleba i w modlitwach.
43 And fear developed in every soul. And many wonders and signs occurred through the apostles.
I strach ogarnął każdą duszę, gdyż wiele znaków i cudów działo się przez apostołów.
44 And all who believed were together, and had all things common.
A wszyscy, którzy uwierzyli, byli razem i wszystko mieli wspólne.
45 And they sold properties and possessions, and divided them to all, according as any man had need.
Sprzedawali posiadłości i dobra i rozdzielali je wszystkim według potrzeb.
46 And continuing steadfastly, daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they partook of nourishment in gladness and evenness of heart,
Każdego dnia trwali zgodnie w świątyni, a łamiąc chleb po domach, przyjmowali pokarm z radością i w prostocie serca;
47 praising God, and having favor with the whole populace. And the Lord was adding to the church daily those being saved.
Chwaląc Boga i ciesząc się przychylnością wszystkich ludzi. A Pan dodawał kościołowi każdego dnia tych, którzy mieli być zbawieni.
