Acts 2
1 And while fulfilling the day of Pentecost, they were all together at the same place.
यहूदियों के पेन्तेकॉस्त पर्व के दिन, जब शिष्य एक स्थान पर इकट्ठा थे,
2 And suddenly there developed a sound from the sky as of a forceful wind moving, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
सहसा आकाश से तेज आंधी जैसी आवाज उस कमरे में फैल गई, जहां वे सब बैठे थे.
3 And there appeared to them dividing tongues, as of fire, and they settled upon each one of them.
तब उनके सामने ऐसी ज्वाला प्रकट हुई जिसका आकार जीभ के समान था, जो अलग होकर उनमें से प्रत्येक व्यक्ति पर जाकर ठहरती गई.
4 And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them to declare.
वे सभी पवित्र आत्मा से भरकर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा दी गई अन्य भाषाओं में बातें करने लगे.
5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.
उस समय आकाश के नीचे के हर एक देश से आए श्रद्धालु यहूदी येरूशलेम में ही ठहरे हुए थे.
6 And the sound of this that happened brought the multitude together. And it was bewildered because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
इस कोलाहल को सुनकर वहां भीड़ इकट्ठा हो गईं. वे सभी आश्चर्यचकित हो गए क्योंकि वे सभी हर एक को अपनी निज भाषा में बातें करते हुए सुन रहे थे.
7 And they were amazed and marveled, saying to each other, Behold, are not all these men who speak Galileans?
अचंभित हो वे एक दूसरे से पूछ रहे थे, “क्या ये सभी गलीलवासी नहीं हैं?
8 And how do we each hear our own language in which we were born?
तब यह क्या हो रहा है, जो हममें से हर एक विदेशी इन्हें हमारी अपनी-अपनी मातृभाषा में बातें करते हुए सुन रहा है!
9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, and Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
पारथी, मादी, इलामी और मेसोपोतामियावासि, यहूदिया तथा कप्पादोकिया, पोन्तॉस तथा आसिया,
10 and Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya along Cyrene, and those Roman aliens, including Jews and proselytes,
फ़्रिजिया, पम्फ़ूलिया, मिस्र, और लिबियावासी, जो क्रेते के आस-पास है; रोमी के रहनेवाले यहूदी तथा दीक्षित यहूदी,
11 Cretes and Arabians. We hear them speaking in our tongues the great things of God.
क्रेती तथा अरबी, सभी अपनी-अपनी मातृभाषा में इनके मुख से परमेश्वर के पराक्रम के विषय में सुन रहे हैं!”
12 And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, others saying to others, Whatever does this intend to be?
चकित और घबराकर वे एक दूसरे से पूछ रहे थे, “यह क्या हो रहा है?”
13 But others, mocking said, They are filled of wine.
किंतु कुछ अन्य ठट्ठा कर कह रहे थे, “इन्होंने कुछ अधिक मधु ही पी रखी है.”
14 But Peter having stood up with the eleven, raised his voice and spoke out to them, saying, Jewish men, and all who dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and listen to my sayings.
तब ग्यारह के साथ पेतरॉस ने खड़े होकर ऊंचे शब्द में कहना प्रारंभ किया: “यहूदियावासियों तथा येरूशलेम वासियों, आपके लिए इस विषय को समझना अत्यंत आवश्यक है; इसलिये मेरी बातों को ध्यानपूर्वक सुनिए:
15 For these men are not drunken, as ye suppose, for it is the third hour of the day.
जैसा आप समझ रहे हैं, ये व्यक्ति नशे में नहीं हैं क्योंकि यह दिन का तीसरा ही घंटा है!
16 But this is that which was spoken through the prophet Joel:
वस्तुत, यह योएल भविष्यवक्ता द्वारा की गई इस भविष्यवाणी की पूर्ति है:
17 And it will be in the last days, says God, I will pour out from my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your elders will dream dreams.
“‘यह परमेश्वर की आवाज है, मैं अपना आत्मा सब लोगों पर उंडेलूंगा. तुम्हारे बेटे और बेटियां भविष्यवाणी करेंगे, तुम्हारे बुज़ुर्ग लोग स्वप्न देखेंगे, तुम्हारे जवान दर्शन देखेंगे.
18 And also on my bondmen and on my bondmaids in those days I will pour out from my Spirit, and they will prophesy.
मैं उन दिनों में अपने दास, और दासियों, पर अपना आत्मा उंडेल दूंगा, और वे भविष्यवाणी करेंगे.
19 And I will give wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
मैं ऊपर आकाश में अद्भुत चमत्कार और नीचे पृथ्वी पर लहू, आग और धुएं के बादल के अद्भुत चिह्न दिखाऊंगा.
20 The sun will be changed into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and wonderful day of the Lord comes.
प्रभु के उस वैभवशाली और वर्णनीय दिन के पूर्व सूर्य अंधेरा और चंद्रमा लहू समान हो जाएगा.
21 And it will be, that every man, whoever may call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
तथा हर एक, जो प्रभु को पुकारेगा, उद्धार प्राप्त करेगा.’
22 Men, Israelites, hear ye these words. Jesus the Nazarene, a man shown by God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know,
“इस्राएली प्रियजन, ध्यान से सुनिए! नाज़रेथवासी मसीह येशु को, जिन्हें आप जानते हैं, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने आपके मध्य सामर्थ्य के कामों, चमत्कारों तथा चिह्नों के द्वारा प्रकट किया,
23 this man, having been designated (by the purpose and foreknowledge of God) a man delivered up, ye, having taken by lawless hands, killed, having crucified,
परमेश्वर की निर्धारित योजना तथा पूर्व ज्ञान में आपके हाथों में अधर्मियों की सहायता से सौंप दिया गया कि उन्हें क्रूस-मृत्युदंड दिया जाए;
24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.
किंतु परमेश्वर ने उन्हें मृत्यु के दर्द से छुड़ाकर मरे हुओं में से जीवित कर दिया क्योंकि यह असंभव था कि मृत्यु उन्हें अपने बंधन में रख सके.
25 For David speaks for him: I beheld the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved.
दावीद ने उनके विषय में कहा था: “मैं सर्वदा प्रभु को निहारता रहा क्योंकि वह मेरी दायीं ओर हैं, कि मैं लड़खड़ा न जाऊं.
26 Because of this my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad. And moreover my flesh will also rest in hope.
इसलिये मेरा हृदय आनंदित और मेरी जीभ मगन हुई; इसके अलावा मेरा शरीर भी आशा में बना रहेगा,
27 Because thou will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will thou give thy Holy man to see decay. (Hadēs g86)
क्योंकि आप न तो मेरी आत्मा को अधोलोक में छोड़ेंगे और न अपने पवित्र जन के शव को सड़ने देंगे. (Hadēs g86)
28 Thou made known to me the paths of life. Thou will fill me of joy with thy countenance.
आपने मुझ पर जीवन का मार्ग प्रकट कर दिया. आप मुझे अपनी उपस्थिति में आनंद से भर देंगे.
29 Men, brothers, being permitted to speak to you with openness about the patriarch David, that he both perished and was buried, and his sepulcher is with us to this day.
“प्रियजन, पूर्वज दावीद के विषय में यह बिलकुल सच है कि उनकी मृत्यु हुई तथा उनके शव को कब्र में भी रखा गया. वह कब्र आज भी वहीं है.
30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, to raise the Christ from the fruit of his loins according to flesh to sit upon his throne.
इसलिये उनके भविष्यवक्ता होने के कारण तथा इसलिये भी कि उन्हें यह मालूम था कि परमेश्वर ने शपथ ली थी कि उन्हीं का एक वंशज सिंहासन पर बैठाया जाएगा,
31 Having foreseen this, he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul was not left behind in Hades, nor did his flesh see decay. (Hadēs g86)
होनेवाली घटनाओं को साफ़-साफ़ देखते हुए दावीद ने मसीह येशु के पुनरुत्थान का वर्णन किया कि मसीह येशु न तो अधोलोक में छोड़ दिए गए और न ही उनके शव को सड़न ने स्पर्श किया. (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus, God raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
इन्हीं मसीह येशु को परमेश्वर ने मरे हुओं में से उठाकर जीवित किया. हम इस सच्चाई के प्रत्यक्ष साक्षी हैं.
33 Therefore, exalted by the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he poured out this that ye now see and hear.
परमेश्वर की दायीं ओर सर्वोच्च पद पर बैठकर, पिता से प्राप्त पवित्र आत्मा लेकर उन्होंने हम पर उंडेल दिया, जो आप स्वयं देख और सुन रहे हैं.
34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand
यद्यपि दावीद उस समय स्वर्ग नहीं पहुंचे थे तौभी उन्होंने स्वयं कहा था, “‘प्रभु ने मेरे प्रभु से कहा: “मेरी दायीं ओर बैठे रहो
35 until I place thine enemies a footstool of thy feet.
मैं तुम्हारे शत्रुओं को तुम्हारे अधीन करूंगा.”’
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made him, this Jesus whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.
“इसलिये सारा इस्राएल निश्चित रूप से यह जान ले कि इन्हीं येशु को, जिन्हें तुम लोगों ने क्रूसित किया परमेश्वर ने प्रभु और मसीह पद से सम्मानित किया.”
37 Now having heard this, they were pierced in the heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles, Men, brothers, what will we do?
इस बात ने उनके हृदयों को छेद दिया. उन्होंने पेतरॉस और शेष प्रेरितों से जानना चाहा, “प्रियजन, अब हमारे लिए क्या करना सही है?”
38 And Peter said to them, Repent ye, and be immersed each of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
पेतरॉस ने उत्तर दिया, “पश्चाताप कीजिए तथा आप में से हर एक मसीह येशु के नाम में पाप क्षमा का बपतिस्मा ले—आपको दान के रूप में पवित्र आत्मा मिलेगा;
39 For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all those in afar, as many as the Lord our God may call.
क्योंकि यह प्रतिज्ञा आपके, आपकी संतान और उन सबके लिए भी है, जो अभी दूर-दूर हैं तथा परमेश्वर जिनको अपने पास बुलाने पर हैं.”
40 And with many more other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this crooked generation.
पेतरॉस ने अनेक तर्क प्रस्तुत करते हुए उनसे विनती की, “स्वयं को इस टेढ़ी पीढ़ी से बचाए रखिए.”
41 Indeed therefore those who received his word gladly, were immersed. And there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
जितनों ने पेतरॉस के प्रवचन को स्वीकार किया, उन्होंने बपतिस्मा लिया. उस दिन लगभग तीन हज़ार व्यक्ति उनमें शामिल हो गए.
42 And they were continuing steadfastly in the apostles doctrine, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
वे सभी लगातार प्रेरितों की शिक्षा के प्रति समर्पित होकर, पारस्परिक संगति, प्रभु-भोज की क्रिया और प्रार्थना में लीन रहने लगे.
43 And fear developed in every soul. And many wonders and signs occurred through the apostles.
प्रेरितों द्वारा किए जा रहे अद्भुत काम तथा अद्भुत चिह्न सभी के लिए आश्चर्य का विषय बन गए थे.
44 And all who believed were together, and had all things common.
मसीह के सभी विश्वासी घनिष्ठ एकता में रहने लगे तथा उनकी सब वस्तुओं पर सबका एक सा अधिकार था.
45 And they sold properties and possessions, and divided them to all, according as any man had need.
वे अपनी संपत्ति बेचकर, जिनके पास कम थी उनमें बांटने लगे.
46 And continuing steadfastly, daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they partook of nourishment in gladness and evenness of heart,
हर रोज़ वे मंदिर के आंगन में एक मन हो नियमित रूप से इकट्ठा होते, भोजन के लिए एक दूसरे के घर में निर्मल भाव से आनंदपूर्वक सामूहिक रूप से भोजन करते
47 praising God, and having favor with the whole populace. And the Lord was adding to the church daily those being saved.
तथा परमेश्वर का गुणगान करते थे. वे सभी की प्रसन्नता के भागी थे. परमेश्वर इनमें दिन-प्रतिदिन उनको मिलाते जा रहे थे, जो उद्धार प्राप्त कर रहे थे.
