Acts 11
1 Now the apostles and the brothers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles also received the word of God.
੧ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
2 And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, the men of circumcision contended against him,
੨ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੁੰਨਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਨ
3 saying, Thou went in to uncircumcised men, having also eaten with them.
੩ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਲੜਨ ਲੱਗੇ, ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਬੇਸੁੰਨਤੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਧਾ!
4 But when Peter began, he expounded to them in order, saying,
੪ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਜੋ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ
5 I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, a certain container descending, as a great sheet being lowered from heaven by four corners, and it came as far as to me,
੫ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਾਪਾ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਚੀਜ਼, ਵੱਡੀ ਚਾਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਪੱਲੇ ਸਨ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਉਤਰਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ।
6 having gazed at which, I was examining. And I saw the four footed things of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the birds of the sky.
੬ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਚੌਪਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਘਿੱਸਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤੂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਵੇਖੇ,
7 And I heard a voice saying to me, Having risen, Peter, kill and eat.
੭ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਦੀ ਸੀ, ਹੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਉੱਠ, ਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਖਾ।
8 But I said, Not so, Lord, because nothing profane or unclean has ever entered into my mouth.
੮ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਜਾਂ ਬੁਰੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਧੀ!
9 But a voice answered me for a second time out of heaven, What God has cleansed, thou shall not make profane.
੯ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਆਈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਕਹਿ।
10 And this happened thrice, and all were drawn up again into heaven.
੧੦ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਫੇਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
11 And behold, immediately three men stood at the house in which I was, who were sent from Caesarea to me.
੧੧ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੀ, ਤਿੰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆ ਖੜੇ ਹੋਏ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
12 And the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. And these six brothers also went with me, and we entered into the man's house.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਝਿਝਕ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਛੇ ਭਾਈ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਵੜੇ।
13 And he informed us how he saw the agent in his house, who stood and said to him, Send forth men to Joppa, and summon Simon, the man surnamed Peter,
੧੩ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਖੜੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਯਾਪਾ ਵੱਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬੁਲਵਾ ਲੈ।
14 who will speak sayings to thee, by which thou will be saved, thou and all thy house.
੧੪ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾਓਗੇ।
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as also on us at the beginning.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਤਰਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਸੀ।
16 And I remembered the saying of the Lord, how he said, John indeed immersed in water, but ye will be immersed in the Holy Spirit.
੧੬ਤਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਚੇਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
17 If then God gave to them the identical gift as also to us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, but what power was I to hinder God?
੧੭ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਫੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਕੌਣ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਦਾ?
18 And when they heard these things, they relaxed and glorified God, saying, Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.
੧੮ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਚੁੱਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ, ਫਿਰ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਤੋਬਾ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ!।
19 Indeed therefore those who were scattered abroad from the persecution that occurred against Stephen passed through as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none except Jews only.
੧੯ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਤੀਫ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਤਿੱਤਰ-ਬਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਫ਼ੈਨੀਕੇ, ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਤੱਕ ਫਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ।
20 And some of them were men, Cyprians and Cyrenians, who, having come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching good news, the Lord Jesus.
੨੦ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰੇਨੇ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜੇ।
22 And the word about them was heard in the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they dispatched Barnabas to pass through as far as Antioch,
੨੨ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ। ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਤੱਕ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
23 who, having arrived, and having seen the grace of God, rejoiced. And he encouraged all, with purpose of heart, to remain in the Lord.
੨੩ਸੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਵੇਖੀ ਤਾਂ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਦਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧਦੇ ਜਾਓ।
24 Because he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a considerable multitude was added to the Lord.
੨੪ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸੀ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ।
25 And Barnabas departed to Tarsus to seek Saul,
੨੫ਤਦ ਉਹ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਤਰਸੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ।
26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass a whole year for them to be assembled in the congregation, and to teach a considerable multitude, and to call the disciples Christians, first at Antioch.
੨੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪੂਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੇਲੇ ਮਸੀਹੀ ਅਖਵਾਏ।
27 Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
੨੭ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਨਬੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ।
28 And one of them named Agabus, after standing up, signified by the Spirit there was going be a great famine in the whole world, which also happened under Claudius Caesar.
੨੮ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਗਬੁਸ ਸੀ, ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਲ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਲੌਦਿਯੁਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ।
29 And the disciples, as any man prospered, determined, each of them regarding aid, to send to the brothers who dwell in Judea,
੨੯ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕੁਝ ਭੇਜਣ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
30 which also they did, having sent it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
੩੦ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ, ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
