2 Samuel 6
1 And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
Y David volvió a juntar todos los escogidos de Israel, treinta mil.
2 And David arose, and went with all the people who were with him, from Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, even the name of Jehovah of hosts who sits above the cherubim.
Y se levantó David, y fue con todo el pueblo que tenía consigo, de Baala de Judá, para hacer pasar de allí el arca de Dios, sobre la cual era invocado el nombre del SEÑOR de los ejércitos, que mora en ella entre los querubines.
3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was on the hill. And Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
Y pusieron el arca de Dios sobre un carro nuevo, y la llevaron de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en Gabaa; y Uza y Ahío, hijos de Abinadab, guiaban el carro nuevo.
4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, with the ark of God, and Ahio went before the ark.
Y cuando lo llevaban de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en Gabaa, con el arca de Dios, Ahío iba delante del arca.
5 And David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah with all manner of instruments of fir-wood, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with castanets, and with cymbals.
Y David y toda la casa de Israel danzaban delante del SEÑOR con toda suerte de instrumentos de madera de haya; con arpas, salterios, adufes, flautas y címbalos.
6 And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, Uzzah put forth to the ark of God, and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.
Y cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza extendió la mano al arca de Dios, y la tuvo; porque los bueyes daban sacudidas.
7 And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote him there for his error, and he died there by the ark of God.
Y el furor del SEÑOR se encendió contra Uza, y lo hirió allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.
8 And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzzah. And he called that place Perez-uzzah, to this day.
Y se entristeció David por haber herido el SEÑOR a Uza; y fue llamado aquel lugar Pérez-uza ( rotura de Uza ), hasta hoy.
9 And David was afraid of Jehovah that day, and he said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come to me?
Y temiendo David al SEÑOR aquel día, dijo: ¿Cómo ha de venir a mí el arca del SEÑOR?
10 So David would not remove the ark of Jehovah to him into the city of David, but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
No quiso, pues, David traer a sí el arca del SEÑOR a la ciudad de David; mas la llevó David a casa de Obed-edom geteo.
11 And the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months, and Jehovah blessed Obed-edom, and all his house.
Y estuvo el arca del SEÑOR en casa de Obed-edom geteo tres meses; y bendijo el SEÑOR a Obed-edom y a toda su casa.
12 And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertains to him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy.
Y fue dado aviso al rey David, diciendo: El SEÑOR ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom, y todo lo que tiene, a causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fue, y trajo el arca de Dios de casa de Obed-edom a la ciudad de David con fiestas.
13 And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.
Y cuando los que llevaban el arca de Dios habían andado seis pasos, sacrificaban un buey y un carnero grueso.
14 And David danced before Jehovah with all his might. And David was girded with a linen ephod.
Y David saltaba con toda su fuerza delante del SEÑOR; y tenía vestido David un efod de lino.
15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
Así David y toda la casa de Israel llevaban el arca del SEÑOR con júbilo y sonido de trompeta.
16 And it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah, and she despised him in her heart.
Y cuando el arca del SEÑOR llegó a la ciudad de David, aconteció que Mical hija de Saúl estaba mirando desde una ventana, y vio al rey David que saltaba y bailaba con toda su fuerza delante del SEÑOR; y le menospreció en su corazón.
17 And they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Jehovah.
Metieron, pues, el arca del SEÑOR, y la pusieron en su lugar en medio de una tienda que David le había tendido; y sacrificó David holocaustos y pacíficos delante del SEÑOR.
18 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah of hosts.
Y cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y pacíficos, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre del SEÑOR de los ejércitos.
19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a portion of flesh, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed every one to his house.
Y repartió a todo el pueblo, y a toda la multitud de Israel, así a hombres como a mujeres, a cada uno una torta de pan, y un pedazo de carne, y un frasco de vino. Y se fue todo el pueblo, cada uno a su casa.
20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!
Volvió luego David para bendecir su casa; y saliendo Mical a recibir a David, dijo: ¡Cuán honrado ha sido hoy el rey de Israel, desenvolviéndose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como si fuese un hombre vacío!
21 And David said to Michal, It was before Jehovah, who chose me above thy father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Jehovah, over Israel. Therefore I will play before Jehovah.
Entonces David respondió a Mical: Delante del SEÑOR, que me eligió por encima de tu padre y de toda su casa, mandándome que fuese príncipe sobre el pueblo del SEÑOR, sobre Israel, danzaré delante del SEÑOR.
22 And I will be yet more vile than this, and will be base in my own sight, but of the handmaids of whom thou have spoken, of them I shall be had in honor.
Y aún me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo a mis propios ojos; y delante de las criadas que dijiste, delante de ellas seré honrado.
23 And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
Y Mical hija de Saúl nunca tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.
