2 Peter 1
1 Simon Peter, a bondman and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received an equally precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
मसीह येशु के दास तथा प्रेरित शिमओन पेतरॉस की ओर से उन्हें, जिन्होंने हमारे परमेश्वर तथा उद्धारकर्ता मसीह येशु की धार्मिकता के द्वारा हमारे समान बहुमूल्य विश्वास प्राप्त किया है:
2 Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
तुम्हें हमारे परमेश्वर तथा प्रभु येशु मसीह के संपूर्ण ज्ञान में अनुग्रह तथा शांति बहुतायत में प्राप्त हो.
3 as all things of his divine power to us, things toward life and piety, which were granted through the knowledge of him who called us through glory and virtue.
परमेश्वर ने हमारी बुलावा स्वयं अपने प्रताप और परम उत्तमता के द्वारा की है. उनके ईश्वरीय सामर्थ्य ने उनके सत्य ज्ञान में हमें जीवन और भक्ति से संबंधित सभी कुछ दे दिया है.
4 Because of which, the precious and greatest promises have been given to us, so that through these ye might become companions of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption in the world in lust.
क्योंकि इन्हीं के द्वारा उन्होंने हमें अपनी विशाल और बहुमूल्य प्रतिज्ञाएं प्रदान की हैं कि तुम संसार में बसी हुई कामासक्ति से प्रेरित भ्रष्टाचार से मुक्त हो ईश्वरीय स्वभाव में सहभागी हो जाओ.
5 Now this same thing also, having applied all eagerness, furnish in your faith, virtue, and in virtue, knowledge,
इसलिये तुम हर संभव कोशिश करते हुए अपने विश्वास में नैतिक सदगुण, नैतिक सदगुण में समझ,
6 and in knowledge, self-control, and in self-control, perseverance, and in perseverance, piety,
अपने समझ में आत्मसंयम, आत्मसंयम में धीरज, धीरज में भक्ति,
7 and in piety, brotherly affection, and in brotherly affection, love.
भक्ति में भाईचारा तथा भाईचारे में निस्स्वार्थ प्रेम में बढ़ते जाओ.
8 For these things existing in you and abounding, it leads to not being idle nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
यदि तुममें ये गुण मौजूद हैं और यदि तुममें इनका विकास हो रहा है तब इनके कारण तुम हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के संपूर्ण ज्ञान में न तो निकम्मे होगे और न ही निष्फल;
9 For he in whom these things are not present is blind, being near-sighted, having deliberately forgotten the purification of his former sins.
जिस व्यक्ति में ये गुण मौजूद नहीं हैं, वह अंधा है या धुंधला देखता है क्योंकि वह अपने पिछले पापों से शुद्ध होने को भुला चुका है.
10 Therefore, brothers, instead be diligent to make your calling and selection sure, for doing these things, ye would, no, not ever stumble.
इसलिये, प्रिय भाई बहनो, अपने बुलावे को तथा चुन लिए जाने को साबित करने के लिए भली-भांति प्रयास करते रहो. यदि तुम ऐसा करते रहोगे तो कभी भी मार्ग से न भटकोगे,
11 For so the entrance will be furnished to you abundantly into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
इस प्रकार हमारे प्रभु तथा उद्धारकर्ता मसीह येशु के अनंत काल के राज्य में तुम्हारे प्रवेश पर तुम्हारा भव्य स्वागत होगा. (aiōnios g166)
12 Therefore I will not neglect to always remind you about these things, although having known them, and having been established in the present truth.
हालांकि तुम इन विषयों से अच्छी तरह से परिचित हो और उस सच्चाई में बने रहते हो तो भी मैं तुम्हें इन बातों की याद दिलाने के लिए हमेशा उत्सुक रहूंगा.
13 But I think it right, inasmuch as I am in this tent, to arouse you in memory.
जब तक मैं इस शरीर रूपी डेरे में हूं, तुम्हें याद दिलाते हुए सावधान रखना सही समझता हूं.
14 Knowing that the putting off of my tent is imminent, even as also our Lord Jesus Christ indicated to me.
मैं यह जानता हूं कि मेरे देह छोड़ने का समय बहुत नज़दीक है. परमेश्वर करें कि ठीक वैसा ही हो जैसा हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह ने मुझ पर प्रकाशित किया है.
15 And also I will endeavor for you to always have, after my departure, the memory of these things to apply.
मैं हर संभव कोशिश करूंगा कि मेरे जाने के बाद भी तुम इन बातों को याद रख सको.
16 For we revealed to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, not men who followed in cunningly devised myths, but men who became eyewitnesses of the majesty of that man.
जब हमने तुम पर हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के सामर्थ्य और दूसरे आगमन के सत्य प्रकाशित किए, हमने कोई चतुराई से गढ़ी गई कहानियों का सहारा नहीं लिया था—हम स्वयं उनके प्रताप के प्रत्यक्षदर्शी थे.
17 For having received from God the Father honor and glory from a voice of such kind brought to him from the Majestic Glory, This is my Son, the beloved in whom I am well pleased.
जब मसीह येशु ने पिता परमेश्वर से आदर और महिमा प्राप्त की, प्रतापमय महिमा ने उन्हें संबोधित करते हुए यह पुकारा, “यह मेरा प्रिय पुत्र है—मेरा अत्यंत प्रिय—जिससे मैं प्रसन्न हूं.”
18 And we heard this voice, which was brought out of heaven, being with him on the holy mountain.
उनके साथ जब हम पवित्र पर्वत पर थे, स्वर्ग से निकले इस शब्द को हमने स्वयं सुना.
19 And we have the prophetic word sure, to which ye do well giving heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the daystar arises in your hearts.
इसलिये भविष्यद्वक्ताओं का वचन और अधिक विश्वसनीय हो गया है. उस पर तुम्हारा ध्यान केंद्रित करना ठीक वैसे ही भला है जैसे जलते हुए दीपक पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना—जब तक पौ नहीं फटती और तुम्हारे हृदयों में भोर का तारा उदित नहीं होता.
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture comes to pass of a personal interpretation.
किंतु सबसे पहले यह समझ लो कि पवित्र शास्त्र की कोई भी भविष्यवाणी स्वयं भविष्यद्वक्ताओं का अपना विचार नहीं है.
21 For no prophecy was ever brought by a will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being led by the Holy Spirit.
क्योंकि कोई भी भविष्यवाणी मनुष्य की इच्छा के आदेश से मुंह से नहीं निकलती, परंतु भविष्यवक्ता पवित्र आत्मा से उत्तेजित किए जाकर परमेश्वर की ओर से घोषणा किया करते थे.
