2 Kings 1
1 And Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
१अहाब राजाच्या मृत्यूनंतर मवाबाने इस्राएलाविरूद्ध बंड केले.
2 And Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick. And he sent messengers, and said to them, Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover of this sickness.
२नंतर अहज्या आपल्या शोमरोनमधल्या त्याच्या माडीवरच्या खिडकीच्या जाळीतून खाली पडला व जखमी झाला. तेव्हा अहज्याने आपल्या सेवकांना बोलावले आणि त्यांना सांगितले. “जा, आणि एक्रोनचे दैवत बआल-जबूब याला विचारून या, मी या दुखण्यातून बरा होईन का.”
3 But the agent of Jehovah said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, Is it because there is no God in Israel that ye go to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?
३पण एलीया तिश्बी याला परमेश्वराचा दूत म्हणाला, “ऊठ, राजा अहज्याने शोमरोनाहून आपले काही दूत रवाना केले आहेत, त्यांना जाऊन भेट आणि त्यांना सांग, ‘इस्राएलात देव नाही काय, म्हणून तुम्ही एक्रोनचे दैवत बआल-जबूब याला विचारायला जात आहा?
4 Now therefore thus says Jehovah, Thou shall not come down from the bed where thou have gone up, but shall surely die. And Elijah departed.
४ह्यास्तव परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “ज्या पलंगावर तू आहेस, तेथून तू कधीच खाली उतरणार नाही. त्याऐवजी, तुला खचित मरण येईल.” मग एलीया निघून गेला.
5 And the messengers returned to him, and he said to them, Why is it that ye are returned?
५जेव्हा दूत परत अहज्या राजाकडे आले. तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “तुम्ही परत का आलात?”
6 And they said to him, There came up a man to meet us, and said to us, Go, turn again to the king that sent you, and say to him, Thus says Jehovah, Is it because there is no God in Israel that thou send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore thou shall not come down from the bed where thou have gone up, but shall surely die.
६ते त्यास म्हणाले, “एक मनुष्य आम्हास भेटला व तो असे बोलला की, ‘तुम्हास ज्या राजाने पाठवले आहे त्याच्याकडे परत जाऊन त्यास सांगा, परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, इस्राएलात परमेश्वर नाही काय? जो तू एक्रोनचे दैवत बआल-जबूब याच्याकडे आपल्या सेवकांना विचारायला पाठवलेस? ह्यास्तव ज्या पलंगावर तू चढला आहेस, तेथून तू कधीच खाली उतरणार नाहीस. त्याऐवजी, तुला खचित मरण येईल.”
7 And he said to them, What manner of man was he who came up to meet you, and told you these words?
७अहज्या आपल्या दूतांना म्हणाला, “ज्याने तुम्हास भेटून हे सांगितले तो दिसायला कसा होता?”
8 And they answered him, He was a hairy man, and girt with a belt of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
८त्यांनी त्यास उत्तर दिले, “त्याने केसांचा बनवलेला अंगरखा घातला होता आणि कातडयाचा कंबरपट्टा बांधला होता.” तेव्हा अहज्या म्हणाला, “तो एलीया तिश्बीच आहे.”
9 Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him, and, behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. And he spoke to him, O man of God, the king has said, Come down.
९नंतर अहज्याने आपला एक सरदार पन्नास मनुष्यांसह एलीयाकडे पाठवला. सरदार एलीयाकडे वर गेला, जिथे एलीया एका डोंगराच्या माथ्यावर बसला होता. सरदार एलीयाला म्हणाला, “हे देवाच्या मनुष्या (संदेष्ट्या) राजाने सांगितले, त्वरीत खाली ये.”
10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
१०एलीयाने या सरदाराला उत्तर दिले, “जर मी देवाचा मनुष्य (संदेष्टा) असेल, तर आकाशातून अग्नी प्रकट होऊन तुला आणि या पन्नास जणांना भस्म करून टाको.” तेव्हा आकाशातून अग्नी खाली उतरला व त्या सरदारासह त्याच्या पन्नास जणांना भस्म केले.
11 And again he sent to him another captain of fifty and his fifty. And he answered and said to him, O man of God, thus has the king said, Come down quickly.
११अहज्याने दुसऱ्या सरदाराला पन्नास जणांसह पाठवले. तो सरदार देखील एलीयाला म्हणाला, “हे देवाच्या मनुष्या, राजाने सांगितले, त्वरीत खाली ये.”
12 And Elijah answered and said to them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
१२एलीयाने त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “जर मी देवाचा मनुष्य (संदेष्टा) असेल, तर आकाशातून अग्नी प्रकट होऊन तुला आणि या पन्नास जणांना भस्म करो.” पुन्हा आकाशातून अग्नी खाली उतरला व त्या सरदारासह त्या पन्नास मनुष्यांना भस्म केले.
13 And again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said to him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
१३अहज्याने आणखी तिसऱ्या सरदारला पन्नास जणांसह पाठवले. तो सरदार एलीयाकडे वर आला, व गुडघे टेकून एलीयाला विनवणी करून म्हणाला, “हे देवाच्या मनुष्या, माझा आणि माझ्याबरोबरचे हे तुझे पन्नासदास, ह्यांचा जीव तुझ्या दृष्टीने मोलवान असो.
14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and consumed the two former captains of fifty with their fifties, but now let my life be precious in thy sight.
१४खरोखरच, आधीचे दोन सरदार आणि त्यांच्या बरोबरची माणसे आकाशातून आलेल्या अग्नीत नष्ट झाली, पण आता माझा जीव तुझ्या दृष्टीने मोलवान असो.”
15 And the agent of Jehovah said to Elijah, Go down with him; do not be afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him to the king.
१५तेव्हा परमेश्वराचा दूत एलीयाला म्हणाला, “त्याला भिऊ नकोस, तर त्याच्याबरोबर खाली जा.” तेव्हा एलीया त्या सरदाराबरोबर राजा अहज्याला भेटायला खाली गेला.
16 And he said to him, Thus says Jehovah, Inasmuch as thou have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore thou shall not come down from the bed where thou have gone up, but shall surely die.
१६एलीया अहज्याला म्हणाला, परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “इस्राएलात विचारायला परमेश्वर नाही काय? म्हणून तू ‘एक्रोनचा देव बआल-जबूबकडे विचारायला माणसे पाठवलीस? म्हणून आता, ज्या पलंगावर तू चढला आहेस, तेथून तू कधीच खाली उतरणार नाही. त्याऐवजी, तुला खचित मरण येईल.”
17 So he died according to the word of Jehovah which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram began to reign in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, because he had no son.
१७परमेश्वराचे जे वचन एलीयाने सांगितले होते त्याप्रमाणे राजा अहज्या मरण पावला. अहज्याला मुलगा नव्हता, याकारणामुळे अहज्यानंतर यहोराम राजा झाला. यहूदाचा राजा यहोशाफाट याचा मुलगा योराम याच्या दुसऱ्या वर्षी हे झाले.
18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
१८इस्राएलाच्या राजांचा इतिहास या ग्रंथात अहज्याने केलेली बाकीची कृत्ये लिहिलेली नाहीत काय?
