2 Kings 7
1 And Elisha said, Hear ye the word of Jehovah. Thus says Jehovah, Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
၁ဧလိရှဲက``ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသော စကားကိုနားထောင်တော်မူပါ။ နက်ဖြန်ဤ အချိန်ရောက်သော် ရှမာရိမြို့စျေးထဲတွင် အကောင်းဆုံးဂျုံဆန်ဆယ်ပေါင် သို့မဟုတ် မုရောဆန်ပေါင်နှစ်ဆယ်ကိုငွေသားတစ်ကျပ် ဖြင့်ဝယ်ယူနိုင်လိမ့်မည်'' ဟုပြန်လည်လျှောက် ထား၏။
2 Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shall see it with thine eyes, but shall not eat of it.
၂မင်းကြီး၏သက်တော်စောင့်အဖြစ်ဖြင့် လိုက်ပါ လာသည့်တပ်မှူးက``အကယ်၍ထာဝရဘုရား ကိုယ်တော်တိုင်ပင်လျှင်မိုးကိုချက်ချင်းရွာစေ ကာမူ ဤသို့ဖြစ်နိုင်လိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်'' ဟုပြော၏။ ဧလိရှဲက``သင်သည်ဤသို့ဖြစ်ပျက်သည်ကို တွေ့မြင်ရမည်ဖြစ်သော်လည်း စားရလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်'' ဟုပြန်ပြောလေ၏။
3 Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate, and they said one to another, Why do we sit here until we die?
၃အရေပြားရောဂါစွဲကပ်သူလူလေးယောက်တို့ သည် မြို့တံခါးပြင်တွင်ထိုင်လျက်``ငါတို့သည် မသေမချင်းဤအရပ်တွင်အဘယ်ကြောင့် စောင့်နေရကြမည်နည်း။-
4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall to the army of the Syrians. If they save us alive, we shall live, and if they kill us, we shall but die.
၄မြို့ထဲသို့ဝင်လျှင်ငါတို့အစာငတ်၍သေရ မည်။ ဤအရပ်တွင်နေလျှင်လည်းသေရကြမည်။ ထို့ကြောင့်ရှုရိတပ်စခန်းသို့ငါတို့သွားကြ ကုန်အံ့။ သူတို့ထားလျှင်ရှင်ရမည်။ သတ်လျှင် သေရမည်'' ဟုအချင်းချင်းပြောဆိုကြ၏။-
5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go to the camp of the Syrians. And when they came to the outermost part of the camp of the Syrians, behold, there was no man there.
၅ထိုနောက်သူတို့သည်မှောင်စပြုချိန်၌ရှုရိတပ် စခန်းသို့သွားကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်ထိုအရပ်သို့ ရောက်သောအခါ လူတစ်စုံတစ်ယောက်ကိုမျှ မတွေ့ရကြ။-
6 For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great army. And they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
၆ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ရှုရိအမျိုးသားတို့ အားမြင်းစီးသူရဲများ၊ စစ်ရထားများဖြင့် တပ်မတော်ကြီးချီတက်လာသောအသံကို ကြားစေတော်မူသဖြင့် ရှုရိအမျိုးသားတို့ က``ငါတို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ရန်ဣသရေလဘုရင် သည် ဟိတ္တိဘုရင်နှင့်အီဂျစ်ဘုရင်တို့ကိုစစ် ကူတောင်းလေပြီ'' ဟုအချင်းချင်းပြောဆို ကြ၏။-
7 Therefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their donkeys, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
၇သို့ဖြစ်၍ထိုညဦး၌သူတို့သည်မိမိတို့၏ တဲများ၊ မြင်းများနှင့်မြည်းတို့ကိုစွန့်ကာ အ သက်ဘေးမှလွတ်ရန်ထွက်ပြေးကြကုန်၏။ သူ တို့၏တပ်စခန်းကိုမူရှိမြဲအတိုင်းထားခဲ့ ကြ၏။
8 And when these lepers came to the outermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and ate and drank, and carried from there silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it. And they came back, and entered into another tent, and carried from there also, and went and hid it.
၈ထိုသူလေးယောက်တို့သည်တပ်စခန်းအစပ် သို့ရောက်သောအခါ တဲတစ်ခုကိုဝင်၍ထို တဲတွင်ရှိသောအစားအစာများကိုစား သောက်ကြ၏။ ထိုနောက်မိမိတို့တွေ့ရှိသည့် ရွှေ၊ ငွေ၊ အဝတ်အစားများကိုယူ၍ထွက်သွား ပြီးလျှင် ထိုပစ္စည်းများကိုဝှက်ထားကြ၏။ သူ တို့သည်နောက်တစ်ဖန်ပြန်လာ၍ အခြားတဲ တစ်ခုသို့ဝင်ကာရှေးနည်းတူပြုကြပြန်၏။-
9 Then they said one to another, We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we keep silent. If we delay till the morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let us go and tell the king's household.
၉သို့ရာတွင်သူတို့က``ငါတို့ဤသို့ပြုနေကြ ရန်မသင့်။ ငါတို့မှာသတင်းကောင်းရှိသည် ဖြစ်၍ ထိုသတင်းကိုမျိုသိပ်မထားသင့်ကြ။ အကယ်၍ငါတို့သည်ထိုသတင်းကိုမိုး လင်းချိန်တိုင်အောင်မပြောဘဲနေလျှင် ဧကန် မုချအပြစ်ဒဏ်သင့်ရကြပေမည်။ သို့ဖြစ် ၍ယခုပင်မင်းကြီး၏မှူးမတ်တို့ထံသွား ရောက်ပြောကြားကုန်အံ့'' ဟုအချင်းချင်း ပြောဆိုကြ၏။-
10 So they came and called to the porter of the city. And they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but the horses tied, and the donkeys tied, and the tents as they were.
၁၀ထိုနောက်သူတို့သည်ရှုရိတပ်စခန်းမှထွက် ခွာ၍မြို့သို့သွားပြီးလျှင် မြို့တံခါးရှိအစောင့် တပ်သားတို့အား``ငါတို့သည်ရှုရိတပ်စခန်း သို့သွားရောက်ရာလူတစ်စုံတစ်ယောက်ကိုမျှ မမြင်ခဲ့ပါ။ လူသံကိုလည်းမကြားခဲ့ပါ။ မြင်းများနှင့်မြည်းများသည်ချည်လျက်ပင် ရှိပါသည်။ တဲများမှာလည်းရှုရိအမျိုးသား တို့ထားခဲ့သည့်အတိုင်းပင်ရှိနေပါသည်'' ဟု အော်ဟစ်၍ပြောကြားကြ၏။
11 And he called the porters, and they told it to the king's household within.
၁၁တံခါးစောင့်တို့သည်ထိုသတင်းကိုကြေညာ ၍ နန်းတော်သို့သတင်းရောက်ရှိသွား၏။-
12 And the king arose in the night, and said to his servants, I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry. Therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city we shall take them alive, and get into the city.
၁၂ထိုအချိန်၌မိုးမလင်းသေးသော်လည်း မင်းကြီး သည်အိပ်ယာမှထ၍မှူးမတ်တို့အား``ရှုရိ အမျိုးသားတို့၏ပရိယာယ်ကိုငါပြောမည်။ ဤမြို့တွင်ငါတို့အစာငတ်လျက်နေကြ ကြောင်းသိသဖြင့်သူတို့သည် မိမိတို့တပ် စခန်းမှထွက်ခွာ၍တပ်ပုန်းချထားလေပြီ။ မြို့ပြင်သို့ငါတို့ထွက်၍အစားအစာရှာဖွေ ကြသောအခါမှ ငါတို့အားလက်ရဖမ်းဆီး ကာမြို့ကိုသိမ်းယူကြလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုဆို၏။
13 And one of his servants answered and said, Let, I pray thee, some men take five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it; behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are consumed), and let us send and see.
၁၃အမတ်တစ်ဦးက``ဤမြို့ရှိလူတို့သည်သေ ဆုံးသွားကြသူတို့နည်းတူသေရကြမည် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍အဖြစ်မှန်ကိုသိရှိ နိုင်ရန် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့တွင်ကျန်ရှိနေသေးသော မြင်းငါးကောင်နှင့်လူအချို့ကိုစေလွှတ် တော်မူပါ'' ဟုလျှောက်၏။-
14 Therefore they took two chariots with horses. And the king sent after the army of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.
၁၄ထို့နောက်သူတို့သည်လူအချို့ကိုရွေးချယ် ကြ၏။ မင်းကြီးသည်ထိုသူတို့အားရှုရိတပ် မတော်၏ဖြစ်ရပ်ကို စုံစမ်းရန်စစ်ရထားနှစ် စီးနှင့်စေလွှတ်တော်မူ၏။-
15 And they went after them to the Jordan. And, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.
၁၅သူတို့သည်ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တိုင်အောင်သွားရောက် ကြရာ ရှုရိအမျိုးသားတို့ထွက်ပြေးစဉ်အခါ က စွန့်ထားခဲ့သည့်အဝတ်အစားများနှင့်လက် နက်ပစ္စည်းများကို လမ်းတစ်လျှောက်လုံးတွင်တွေ့ မြင်ရကြ၏။ ထိုနောက်သူတို့သည်မင်းကြီး ထံပြန်၍အစီရင်ခံကြ၏။-
16 And the people went out, and plundered the camp of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of Jehovah.
၁၆ရှမာရိမြို့သားတို့သည်ပြေး၍ထွက်လာပြီး လျှင် ရှုရိတပ်စခန်းကိုလုယက်ကြကုန်၏။ ထို့ နောက်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူခဲ့သည်အတိုင်း အကောင်းဆုံးဂျုံဆန်ဆယ်ပေါင်သို့မဟုတ် မုယောဆန်ပေါင်နှစ်ဆယ်ကို ငွေသားတစ်ကျပ် ဖြင့်ရောင်းချကြလေသည်။
17 And the king appointed the captain on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate. And the people trampled upon him in the gate, and he died as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.
၁၇မင်းကြီး၏သက်တော်စောင့်အဖြစ်ဆောင်ရွက် ခဲ့သူတပ်မှူးသည် ထိုအချိန်၌မြို့တံခါး အစောင့်တပ်ကိုကြီးကြပ်အုပ်ချုပ်နေရစဉ် လူတို့တိုးကြိတ်ထွက်ဝင်ရာတွင် သူ့အားနင်း မိကြသဖြင့်သေလေ၏။ ဧလိရှဲအားတွေ့ဆုံ ရန်မင်းကြီးလာရောက်စဉ်အခါက ဧလိရှဲ ကြိုတင်ဟောကြားခဲ့သည်အတိုင်းဖြစ်ပျက် လေသည်။-
18 And it came to pass, as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be tomorrow about this time in the gate of Samaria.
၁၈ဧလိရှဲက``နောက်တစ်နေ့ဤအချိန်ရောက် လျှင် ရှမာရိမြို့စျေးထဲတွင်အကောင်းဆုံး ဂျုံဆန်ဆယ်ပေါင် သို့မဟုတ်မုယောဆန်ပေါင် နှစ်ဆယ်ကိုငွေသားတစ်ကျပ်နှင့်ရောင်းချ ကြလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုမင်းကြီးအားလျှောက်ထား သောအခါ၊-
19 And that captain answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shall see it with thine eyes, but shall not eat of it.
၁၉ထိုတပ်မှူးက``ထာဝရဘုရားကိုယ်တော်တိုင်ပင် မိုးကိုချက်ချင်းရွာစေကာမူဤသို့ဖြစ်နိုင် လိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်ပါ'' ဟုပြောကြားခဲ့လေသည်။ ထိုအခါဧလိရှဲက``သင်သည်ဤသို့ဖြစ်ပျက် သည်ကိုတွေ့မြင်ရမည်ဖြစ်သော်လည်းစားရ လိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်'' ဟုဆိုခဲ့၏။-
20 It came to pass even so to him, for the people trampled upon him in the gate, and he died.
၂၀ဧလိရှဲပြောကြားခဲ့သည့်အတိုင်းပင်တပ် မှူးသည် မြို့တံခါးဝတွင်လူတို့နင်းမိကြ သဖြင့်သေလေသတည်း။
