2 Kings 15

1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.

इस्राएल के राजा यरोबोअम के शासन के सत्ताईसवें साल में अमाज़्याह के पुत्र अज़रियाह ने यहूदिया पर शासन करना शुरू किया.

2 He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

उस समय उसकी उम्र सोलह साल थी. येरूशलेम में उसने बावन साल शासन किया. उसकी माता का नाम यकोलियाह था, वह येरूशलेमवासी थी.

3 And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

अज़रियाह ने अपने पिता अमाज़्याह समान वही किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में सही है.

4 However the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.

फिर भी, पूजा स्थलों की वेदियां तोड़ी नहीं गई थी. लोग पूजा स्थलों की वेदियों पर धूप जलाते और बलि चढ़ाते रहे.

5 And Jehovah smote the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and dwelt in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son was over the household, judging the people of the land.

याहवेह ने राजा की देह पर वार किया, फलस्वरूप वह मरने तक कुष्ठरोगी होकर एक अलग घर में रहता रहा. तब राजपुत्र योथाम प्रजा पर शासन करने लगा.

6 Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

अज़रियाह द्वारा किए गए अन्य काम और उसकी उपलब्धियों का ब्यौरा यहूदिया के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

7 And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David. And Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

अज़रियाह हमेशा के लिए अपने पूर्वजों में जा मिला और उन्होंने उसे उसके पूर्वजों के साथ दावीद के नगर में गाड़ दिया. उसकी जगह पर उसका पुत्र योथाम शासन करने लगा.

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months.

यहूदिया के राजा अज़रियाह के शासन के अड़तीसवें साल में यरोबोअम के पुत्र ज़करयाह ने शमरिया में इस्राएल पर शासन करना शुरू किया. उसने सिर्फ छः महीने ही शासन किया.

9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

उसने वही किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था—ठीक जैसा उसके पूर्वजों ने किया था. वह उन पापों से दूर न हुआ, जो नेबाथ के पुत्र यरोबोअम ने शुरू किए और जिन्हें करने के लिए उसने इस्राएल को उकसाया था.

10 And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

याबेश के पुत्र शल्लूम ने उसके विरुद्ध षड़्‍यंत्र रचा और उसकी प्रजा के सामने ही उस पर घात कर उसकी हत्या कर दी, और उसके स्थान पर खुद राजा बन गया.

11 Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

ज़करयाह के अन्य कामों का ब्यौरा इस्राएल के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

12 This was the word of Jehovah which he spoke to Jehu, saying, Thy sons to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass.

याहवेह ने येहू से यह प्रतिज्ञा की थी, “चौथी पीढ़ी तक तुम्हारी संतान इस्राएल के सिंहासन पर बैठेगी.” यह इसी प्रतिज्ञा की पूर्ति है.

13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned the space of a month in Samaria.

यहूदिया के राजा उज्जियाह के शासनकाल के उनचालीसवें साल में याबेश के पुत्र शल्लूम ने शासन करना शुरू किया और उसने शमरिया में एक महीने तक शासन किया.

14 And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

उसी समय गादी का पुत्र मेनाख़ेम तिरज़ाह से शमरिया आ गया और उसने याबेश के पुत्र शल्लूम पर घात कर उसकी हत्या करके उसकी जगह पर स्वयं राजा बन गया.

15 Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

शल्लूम के बाकी काम और उसके द्वारा रचे गए षड़्‍यंत्र का ब्यौरा इस्राएल के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

16 Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the borders of it, from Tirzah, because they did not open to him, therefore he smote it. And all the women in it who were with child he ripped up.

इसके बाद मेनाख़ेम ने तिफ़साह नगर पर हमला किया और सारी नगरवासियों को और तिरज़ाह से लेकर सारी सीमावर्ती क्षेत्र को खत्म कर दिया; क्योंकि उन्होंने फाटक खोलने से मना कर दिया था; इसलिये उसने इसे पूरी तरह नाश कर दिया और सभी गर्भवती स्त्रियों के पेट चीर डाले.

17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

यहूदिया के राजा अज़रियाह के शासन के उनचालीसवें साल में गादी के पुत्र मेनाख़ेम ने इस्राएल पर शासन करना शुरू किया. उसने शमरिया में दस साल शासन किया.

18 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah. He did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

उसने वही किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था. वह जीवन भर उन पापों से दूर न हुआ, जो नेबाथ के पुत्र यरोबोअम ने इस्राएल को करने के लिए उकसाया था.

19 Pul the king of Assyria came against the land. And Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

अश्शूर के राजा पूल ने राज्य पर हमला किया. मेनाख़ेम ने उसे लगभग पैंतीस टन चांदी इस मंशा से भेंट में दे दी, कि वह उससे अपनी सत्ता को दृढ़ करने में सहायता ले सके.

20 And Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and did not stay there in the land.

मेनाख़ेम ने इस्राएल के सारे धनी व्यक्तियों पर प्रति व्यक्ति लगभग आधा किलो चांदी का कर लगा दिया कि अश्शूर के राजा को यह भेंट में दी जा सके. तब अश्शूर का राजा वहां से लौट गया. वह उस देश में और अधिक नहीं ठहरा.

21 Now the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

मेनाख़ेम के अन्य कामों और उसकी उपलब्धियों का ब्यौरा इस्राएल के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

मेनाख़ेम हमेशा के लिए अपने पूर्वजों में जा मिला और उसके स्थान पर उसका पुत्र पेकाहियाह शासन करने लगा.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

यहूदिया के राजा अज़रियाह के शासन के पचासवें साल में मेनाख़ेम के पुत्र पेकाहियाह ने शमरिया में इस्राएल पर शासन प्रारंभ किया. उसका शासनकाल दो साल का था.

24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

उसने वह किया जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था. वह उन पापों से विमुख न हुआ, जिन्हें करने के लिए नेबाथ के पुत्र यरोबोअम ने इस्राएल को उकसाया था.

25 And Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the castle of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh. And fifty men of the Gileadites with him were there. And he killed him, and reigned in his stead.

उसके सेनानायक पेकाह, रेमालियाह के पुत्र, ने गिलआद के पचास व्यक्तियों के साथ मिलकर उसके विरुद्ध षड़्‍यंत्र रचा और शमरिया में राजमहल के गढ़ में अरगोब और अरिएह के साथ मिलकर उसकी हत्या कर दी, और स्वयं उसके स्थान पर राजा बन गया.

26 Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

पेकाहियाह द्वारा किए गए अन्य कार्य और उसकी सारी उपलब्धियों का ब्यौरा इस्राएल के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

यहूदिया के राजा अज़रियाह के शासन के बावनवें साल में रेमालियाह के पुत्र पेकाह ने शमरिया में शासन करना शुरू किया. उसने बीस साल शासन किया.

28 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

उसने वह किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में गलत था. वह उन पापों से दूर न हुआ, जो नेबाथ के पुत्र यरोबोअम ने इस्राएल को करने के लिए उकसाया था.

29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali. And he carried them captive to Assyria.

इस्राएल के राजा पेकाह के शासनकाल में अश्शूर के राजा तिगलथ-पलेसेर ने हमला किया और इयोन, बेथ-माकाह के आबेल, यानोहा, केदेश, हाज़ोर, गिलआद, गलील और नफताली का सारा इलाका अपने अधीन कर लिया. इन सभी को बंदी बनाकर वह अश्शूर ले गया.

30 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and killed him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

उसी समय एलाह के पुत्र होशिया ने पेकाह के विरुद्ध षड़्‍यंत्र रचा, उस पर वार किया, और उसकी हत्या कर दी, और उसके स्थान पर राजा बन गया. यह घटना उज्जियाह के पुत्र योथाम के शासन के बीसवें साल में हुई.

31 Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

पेकाह द्वारा किए गए अन्य कार्य और उसकी सारी उपलब्धियों का ब्यौरा इस्राएल के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

32 In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign.

इस्राएल के राजा रेमालियाह के पुत्र पेकाह के शासनकाल के दूसरे साल में उज्जियाह के पुत्र योथाम ने यहूदिया पर शासन शुरू किया.

33 He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.

शासन शुरू करते समय उसकी उम्र पच्चीस साल थी. उसने येरूशलेम में सोलह साल शासन किया. उसकी माता का नाम येरूशा था, वह सादोक की पुत्री थी.

34 And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

योथाम ने वह किया, जो याहवेह की दृष्टि में सही था. उसने वही सब किया, जो उसके पिता उज्जियाह ने किया था.

35 However the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah.

फिर भी, पूजा स्थलों की वेदियां तोड़ी नहीं गई थी. लोग पूजा स्थलों की वेदियों पर धूप जलाते और बलि चढ़ाते रहे. योथाम ने याहवेह के भवन के ऊपरी द्वार को बनवाया.

36 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

योथाम द्वारा किए गए अन्य कार्य और उसकी अन्य उपलब्धियों का ब्यौरा यहूदिया के राजाओं की इतिहास की पुस्तक में दिया गया है.

37 In those days Jehovah began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

इन्हीं दिनों में याहवेह ने यहूदिया के विरुद्ध अराम देश के राजा रेज़िन और रेमालियाह के पुत्र पेकाह को हमले के उद्देश्य से भेजना शुरू कर दिया था.

38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father. And Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

योथाम हमेशा के लिए अपने पूर्वजों में जा मिला और उसे उसके पूर्वजों के साथ दावीद के नगर में गाड़ दिया गया. उसके स्थान पर उसका पुत्र आहाज़ राजा बना.
