2 Corinthians 8
1 And, brothers, we declare to you the grace of God that has been given in the congregations of Macedonia,
സഹോദരങ്ങളേ, മക്കദോന്യയിലെ സഭകൾക്കു ദൈവം നൽകിയ കൃപയെപ്പറ്റി നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കണമെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy, even from the depth of their poverty, abounded for the wealth of their generosity,
കഷ്ടതകളാകുന്ന തീവ്രപരീക്ഷണങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിലായിരുന്നിട്ടും, അവരുടെ ആനന്ദസമൃദ്ധിയും കഠിനദാരിദ്ര്യവും ഒത്തുചേർന്ന് അവരുടെ ഉദാരത ഒരു വലിയ സമ്പത്തായി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി.
3 so that according to their ability, I testify, and beyond their ability, willingly,
തങ്ങളുടെ കഴിവനുസരിച്ചും അതിനപ്പുറവും അവർ ദാനംചെയ്ത് എന്നതിനു ഞാൻ സാക്ഷി.
4 with much exhortation, begging of us the favor, even the fellowship of service for the sanctified.
വിശ്വാസികൾക്കുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള ഈ ധനശേഖരശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ പങ്കു വഹിക്കുക എന്ന പദവിക്കായി അവർ ഒരു ബാഹ്യസമ്മർദവുംകൂടാതെതന്നെ ഞങ്ങളോട് വളരെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
5 And it was not as we expected, but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us through the will of God,
ഇവയെല്ലാം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷയ്ക്കും അപ്പുറമായിരുന്നു, അവർ ആദ്യം ദൈവഹിതപ്രകാരം കർത്താവിനു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ സമർപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കായും അപ്രകാരംചെയ്തു.
6 for us to urge Titus that, as he earlier began this kindness, so he would even finish it for you also.
അതുകൊണ്ടു തീത്തോസ് ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ദാനശേഖരണം നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കണമെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ അയാളോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
7 But as ye abound in everything, in faith, and word, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in your love to us, so that ye may also abound in this kindness.
വിശ്വാസം, പ്രസംഗം, പരിജ്ഞാനം, തികഞ്ഞ ഉത്സാഹം, ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള സ്നേഹം എന്നിങ്ങനെ എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിങ്ങൾ മികച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ദാനധർമത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലും ഏറ്റവും മുന്നിലായിരിക്കണം.
8 I speak not from commandment, but because of the zeal of others, also examining the genuineness of your love.
ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുകയല്ല, എന്നാൽ മറ്റുള്ളവർ കാട്ടുന്ന ഉത്സാഹത്തോട് നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാർഥത തുലനംചെയ്തു പരിശോധിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുകയാണ്.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich he became poor for your sakes, so that by that man's poverty ye might become rich.
നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു സമ്പന്നൻ ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ദരിദ്രനായിത്തീർന്ന കൃപ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നല്ലോ. അവിടത്തെ ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിലൂടെ നിങ്ങൾ സമ്പന്നരായിത്തീരേണ്ടതിനാണ് അവിടന്ന് അപ്രകാരം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചത്.
10 And in this I give judgment, for this is expedient for you who earlier began, from a year ago, not only the doing but also the intending.
ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള എന്റെ ഉപദേശം ഇതാണ്: നിങ്ങൾ ആരംഭിച്ചതു നിങ്ങളുടെ കഴിവിനൊത്തവണ്ണം ഇപ്പോൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കുകയാണ് ഏറ്റവും പ്രയോജനപ്രദം. ഏറ്റവും ആദ്യം സംഭാവന നൽകിയതും നൽകാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതും നിങ്ങളാണല്ലോ. ഒരുവർഷംമുമ്പ് നിങ്ങൾ അത് ആരംഭിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ ഇക്കാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള ആകാംക്ഷാപൂർവമായ നിങ്ങളുടെ താത്പര്യംകൂടി പൂർത്തീകരിക്കപ്പെടും.
11 And now also finish the doing, so that just as was the willingness of the intending, so also to finish from the having.
12 For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable to the extent if some man has, not to the extent he does not have.
ഒരാൾക്കു താത്പര്യമുള്ളപക്ഷം അയാളുടെ കഴിവിനപ്പുറമായല്ല, കഴിവിനനുസൃതമായി അയാൾ നൽകുന്ന സംഭാവന സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കും.
13 For it is not so that ease is for others and stress for you, but out of parity your abundance at the present time is for the need of those men.
നിങ്ങളെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിച്ചു മറ്റുള്ളവരെ സുഭിക്ഷരാക്കണമെന്നല്ല, സമത്വം ഉണ്ടാകണം എന്നതാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.
14 So that the abundance of those men may also happen for your need, so that there may become equity,
ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ സമൃദ്ധി അവരുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിർവഹിക്കാനും പിന്നീട് അവരുടെ സമൃദ്ധി നിങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിർവഹിക്കാനും സഹായകമാകും; അങ്ങനെ സമത്വമുണ്ടാകും.
15 as it is written, he of much did not abound, and he of little did not lack.
“കൂടുതൽ ശേഖരിച്ചവർക്കു കൂടുതലോ കുറച്ചു ശേഖരിച്ചവർക്കു കുറവോ കണ്ടില്ല” എന്ന് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ.
16 But thanks to God who gives the same eagerness for you in the heart of Titus.
നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് എനിക്കുള്ള അതേ ശുഷ്കാന്തി തീത്തോസിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും നൽകിയ ദൈവത്തിനു സ്തോത്രം.
17 Because he indeed accepted the exhortation, but his own will being more zealous, he went forth to you.
തീത്തോസ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അഭ്യർഥന സ്വീകരിച്ചെന്നുമാത്രമല്ല, വളരെ ഉത്സാഹത്തോടെ, ബാഹ്യസമ്മർദമൊന്നും കൂടാതെതന്നെയാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്കു വരുന്നത്.
18 And we sent along with him the brother whose praise in the good news is throughout all the congregations.
ഞങ്ങൾ അയാളോടൊപ്പം മറ്റൊരു സഹോദരനെയും അയയ്ക്കുന്നു. ആ സഹോദരൻ സുവിശേഷത്തിനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള തന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷയാൽ സകലസഭയുടെയും പ്രശംസയ്ക്കു പാത്രമായിത്തീർന്നിട്ടുള്ളയാളാണ്.
19 And not only so, but who was also chosen by the congregations, a traveling companion of us with this gift administered by us, for the glory of the same Lord and our willingness.
തന്നെയുമല്ല, കർത്താവിനെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്താനും സഹായിക്കാനുള്ള നമ്മുടെ സന്മനസ്സ് പ്രകടമാക്കാനും നിർവഹിക്കുന്ന ഈ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ സഹായിയായി ഞങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം സഞ്ചരിക്കാൻ സഭകളാൽ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവ്യക്തിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം.
20 Arranging this lest any man may criticize us in this bounty administered by us,
ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈയിൽ വന്നുചേരുന്ന ഉദാരമായ സംഭാവന കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതു സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഒരാക്ഷേപവും ഉണ്ടാകരുതെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അതിയായി ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് കർത്തൃസന്നിധിയിൽമാത്രമല്ല മനുഷ്യരുടെമുമ്പാകെയും യോഗ്യമായതുമാത്രമേ ചെയ്യുകയുള്ളൂ എന്നാണ് തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.
21 providing things right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
22 And we sent along with them our brother whom we often proved being diligent in many things, but is now much more diligent (with much confidence toward you)
പല കാര്യങ്ങളിലും ജാഗ്രതയുള്ളവനെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ പലപ്പോഴും പരീക്ഷിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെയും അവരോടൊപ്പം അയയ്ക്കുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു നിങ്ങളിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസംമൂലം ഇപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം കൂടുതൽ ഉത്സാഹിയാണ്.
23 whether on behalf of Titus my partner and co-workman for you, or our brothers, apostles of congregations, a glory of Christ.
തീത്തോസ് എന്റെ കൂട്ടാളിയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ എന്റെ സഹപ്രവർത്തകനുമാണ്; മറ്റു സഹോദരന്മാരോ, സഭകളാൽ അയയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മഹിമയ്ക്കു കാരണമാകുന്നവരുമാണ്.
24 Therefore show ye the proof of your love and our boast about you, for them in the face of the congregations.
അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഈ ആളുകളോടു നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള സ്നേഹവും നിങ്ങളിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള അഭിമാനവും സഭകളുടെമുമ്പിൽ തെളിയിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുക.
