2 Corinthians 7
1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in fear of God.
इसलिये प्रिय भाई बहनो, जब हमसे ये प्रतिज्ञाएं की गई हैं तो हम परमेश्वर के प्रति श्रद्धा के कारण, स्वयं को शरीर और आत्मा की हर एक मलिनता से शुद्ध करते हुए पवित्रता को सिद्ध करें.
2 Make room for us. We wronged no man, we corrupted no man, we exploited no man.
हमें अपने हृदयों में स्थान दो. हमने किसी के साथ अन्याय नहीं किया, किसी को आहत नहीं किया, किसी का अनुचित लाभ नहीं उठाया.
3 I speak not for condemnation, for I have said before that ye are in our hearts to die together and to live together.
यह कहने के द्वारा हम तुम पर दोष नहीं लगा रहे हैं. मैं पहले भी कह चुका हूं कि तुम हमारे हृदय में बसे हो और हमारा-तुम्हारा जीवन-मरण का साथ है.
4 Great is my boldness toward you, great is my pride for you. I have been filled with encouragement. I over-abound with joy in all our affliction.
मुझे तुम पर अटूट विश्वास है. मुझे तुम पर गर्व है, मैं अत्यंत प्रोत्साहित हुआ हूं. सारे कष्टों में भी मैं आनंद से भरपूर रहता हूं.
5 For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had not one relief, but being oppressed in everything: battles outside, fears within.
हमारे मकेदोनिया में रहने के दौरान हमें शारीरिक रूप से विश्राम नहीं परंतु चारों ओर से कष्ट ही कष्ट मिलता रहा—बाहर तो लड़ाइयां और अंदर भय की बातें.
6 Nevertheless God, who encourages the lowly, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus.
मगर परमेश्वर ने, जो हताशों को धीरज देते हैं, तीतॉस को यहां उपस्थित कर हमें धीरज दिया.
7 And not only by his presence, but also by the encouragement with which he was encouraged by you, reporting to us your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced the more.
न केवल उसकी उपस्थिति के द्वारा ही परंतु उस प्रोत्साहन के द्वारा भी, जो तीतॉस को तुमसे प्राप्त हुआ. उसने मुझे मेरे प्रति तुम्हारी लालसा, वेदना तथा उत्साह के विषय में बताया. इससे मेरा आनंद और अधिक बढ़ गया.
8 Because even though I grieved you in the letter, I am not remorseful (even though I was remorseful), for I perceive that that letter grieved you, even though for an hour.
यद्यपि तुम मेरे पत्र से शोकित हुए हो, मुझे इसका खेद नहीं—पहले खेद ज़रूर हुआ था मगर अब मैं देखता हूं कि तुम उस पत्र से शोकित तो हुए किंतु थोड़े समय के लिए.
9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were grieved, but that ye were grieved for repentance. For ye were grieved toward God, so that ye might suffer loss from us in nothing.
अब मैं आनंदित हूं, इसलिये नहीं कि तुम शोकित हुए परंतु इसलिये कि यही तुम्हारे पश्चाताप का कारण बन गया. यह सब परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार ही हुआ कि तुम्हें हमारे कारण किसी प्रकार की हानि न हो.
10 For sorrow toward God works repentance for salvation without regret, but the sorrow of the world works death.
वह दुःख, जो परमेश्वर की ओर से आता है, वह ऐसा पश्चाताप का कारण बन जाता है जो हमें उद्धार की ओर ले जाता है, जहां खेद के लिए कोई स्थान ही नहीं रहता; जबकि सांसारिक दुःख मृत्यु उत्पन्न करता है.
11 For behold this same thing-your grieving toward God. How much eagerness it worked in you, even a defense, even indignation, even fear, even longing, even zeal, even vengeance! In everything ye demonstrated yourselves to be pure in the matter.
ध्यान दो कि परमेश्वर की ओर से आए दुःख ने तुममें क्या-क्या परिवर्तन किए हैं: ऐसी उत्सुकता भरी तत्परता, अपना पक्ष स्पष्ट करने की ऐसी बड़ी इच्छा, अन्याय के प्रति ऐसा क्रोध, संकट के प्रति ऐसी सावधानी, मुझसे भेंट करने की ऐसी तेज लालसा, सेवा के प्रति ऐसा उत्साह तथा दुराचारी को दंड देने के लिए ऐसी तेजी के द्वारा तुमने यह साबित कर दिया कि सब कुछ ठीक-ठाक करने में तुमने कोई भी कमी नहीं छोड़ी है.
12 And so then, although I wrote to you, it was not because of the man who did wrong, nor because of the man who was wronged, but in order to reveal to you your eagerness for us in the sight of God.
हालांकि यह पत्र मैंने न तो तुम्हें इसलिये लिखा कि मुझे उसकी चिंता थी, जो अत्याचार करता है और न ही उसके लिए, जो अत्याचार सहता है परंतु इसलिये कि परमेश्वर के सामने स्वयं तुम्हीं यह देख लो कि तुम हमारे प्रति कितने सच्चे हो.
13 Because of this we have been encouraged. And from your encouragement, we rejoiced to a greater degree more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
यही हमारे धीरज का कारण है. अपने धीरज से कहीं अधिक हम तीतॉस के आनंद में हर्षित हैं क्योंकि तुम सबने उसमें नई ताज़गी का संचार किया है.
14 Because, if I have boasted anything to him about you, I am not ashamed, but as we spoke all things in truth to you, so also our boast to Titus became truth.
यदि तीतॉस के सामने मैंने तुम पर गर्व प्रकट किया है तो मुझे उसके लिए लज्जित नहीं होना पड़ा. जिस प्रकार, जो कुछ मैंने तुमसे कहा वह सच था, उसी प्रकार तीतॉस के सामने मेरा गर्व प्रकट करना भी सच साबित हुआ.
15 And his bowels are more abundant toward you, remembering the obedience of you all, how ye received him with fear and trembling.
जब तीतॉस को तुम्हारी आज्ञाकारिता याद आती है तथा यह भी कि तुमने कितने श्रद्धा भाव से उसका सत्कार किया तो वह स्नेह से तुम्हारे प्रति और अधिक भर उठता है.
16 I rejoice that I have confidence in you in everything.
तुम्हारे प्रति मैं पूरी तरह आश्वस्त हूं. यह मेरे लिए आनंद का विषय है.
