2 Corinthians 11
1 O that ye tolerated a little of my foolishness, but tolerate me too.
Bog daj, da bi lahko z menoj malo zdržali v moji neumnosti, in zares potrpite z menoj.
2 For I am jealous for you with a jealousy of God. For I betrothed you to one husband, a pure virgin to present to the Christ.
Kajti nad vami sem ljubosumen z bogaboječo ljubosumnostjo, kajti zaročil sem vas z enim soprogom, da vas lahko kakor čiste device predstavim Kristusu.
3 But I fear lest somehow, as the serpent enticed Eve by his craftiness, so your thoughts might be corrupted from the simplicity in the Christ.
Toda bojim se, da ne bi bila na kakršenkoli način, kakor je kača s svojo premetenostjo preslepila Evo, tudi vaša mišljenja pokvarjena proč od preprostosti, ki je v Kristusu.
4 For indeed if a man who comes, preaches another Jesus whom we did not preach, or ye receive another spirit that ye did not receive, or another good news that ye did not accept, ye well tolerated it.
Kajti če tisti, ki prihaja, oznanja drugega Jezusa, ki ga nismo oznanili ali če sprejmete drugega duha, ki ga niste prejeli ali drug evangelij, ki ga niste sprejeli, bi bili mogoče z njim prizanesljivi.
5 For I reckon to come short in nothing of those, superlative apostles.
Kajti domnevam, da nisem bil niti malo za zelo vodilnimi apostoli.
6 But even if I am unskilled in speech, yet not in knowledge, but in everything made known in all things to you.
Toda čeprav sem grob v govoru, pa nisem v spoznanju; toda med vami smo se temeljito razodeli v vseh stvareh.
7 Or did I commit a sin lowering myself so that ye might be lifted up, because I preached to you the good news of God freely?
Ali sem zagrešil prestopek s poniževanjem samega sebe, da bi bili vi lahko povišani, ker sem vam brez plačila oznanil Božji evangelij?
8 I robbed other congregations, having taken a wage in order for your service.
Odvzel sem drugim cerkvam in od njih jemal plačila, da vam storim uslugo.
9 And being present with you, and when needy, I was a burden to no man. For the brothers who came from Macedonia, they supplied my need. And in everything I kept and I will keep myself non-burdensome to you.
In ko sem bil prisoten z vami in trpel pomanjkanje, nisem bil v breme nobenemu človeku, kajti to, kar mi je primanjkovalo, so preskrbeli bratje, ki so prišli iz Makedonije. In v vseh stvareh sem se varoval pred tem, da bi vam bil v breme in tako se bom varoval.
10 The truth of Christ is in me that this pride in me will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.
Kakor je Kristusova resnica v meni, me v področjih Ahaje noben človek ne bo ustavil v tem bahanju.
11 Why? Because I do not love you? God knows.
Zakaj? Ker vas ne ljubim? Bog ve.
12 But what I do, I also will do, so that I may cut off the opportunity of those who desire an opportunity, that in what they boast, they might appear just as we also.
Toda kar delam, to bom delal, da bom lahko odsekal priložnost pred temi, ki želijo priložnost; da bodo, v čemer se ponašajo, lahko najdeni kakor mi.
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves into apostles of Christ.
Kajti takšni so lažni apostoli, varljivi delavci, ki se prenarejajo v Kristusove apostole.
14 And no marvel, for even Satan disguises himself into an agent of light.
In nič čudnega; kajti sam Satan se prenareja v angela svetlobe.
15 Therefore, it is no great thing if his helpers also disguise themselves as helpers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Torej ni nič posebnega, če so tudi njegovi služabniki prenarejeni kakor služabniki pravičnosti, katerih konec bo glede na njihova dela.
16 I say again, let not any man think me to be foolish, but if otherwise-even if as foolish-accept me, so that I also may boast some a little.
Ponovno pravim: ›Naj me noben človek nima za bedaka; če drugače, me vendar sprejmite kakor bedaka, da se bom lahko malce bahal.
17 What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as in foolishness, in this confidence of the boast.
To, kar govorim, tega ne govorim po Gospodu, temveč kakor bi bilo nespametno v tem zaupanju bahanja.
18 Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast.
Ker pa se mnogi ponašajo po mesu, se bom tudi jaz ponašal.
19 For being wise, ye gladly tolerate the foolish.
Kajti z veseljem trpite bedake, ker ste vi sami modri.
20 For ye tolerate it if some man enslaves you, if some man devours you, if some man seizes you, if some man lifts himself up, if some man strikes you on the face.
Kajti trpite, če vas človek privleče v suženjstvo, če vas človek požira, če od vas človek jemlje, če človek sebe povišuje, če vas človek udari po obrazu.
21 I speak as from shame, that we were so weak. Yet in whatever any man may be bold in foolishness, I say I too am bold.
Govorim glede graje, kakor bi bili šibki. Čeprav v čemer je kdorkoli drzen (govorim nespametno), sem tudi sam drzen.
22 Are they Hebrews? I too. Are they Israelites? I too. Are they a seed of Abraham? I too.
Ali so Hebrejci? Tudi jaz sem. Ali so Izraelci? Tudi jaz sem. Ali so Abrahamovo seme? Tudi jaz sem.
23 Are they helpers of Christ? (I speak as being mad) I more: in toils, more abundantly; in stripes, countless; in prisons, more frequently; in deaths often.
Ali so Kristusovi služabniki? (Govorim kakor bedak.) Jaz sem bolj; obilnejši v naporih, nad mero pri bičanjih, pogosteje v ječah, često v smrtnih nevarnostih.
24 From the Jews five times I received forty save one.
Od Judov sem petkrat prejel štirideset udarcev z bičem, izvzemši enega.
25 Thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I was shipwrecked, I have done a night and a day in the depth,
Trikrat sem bil pretepen s šibami, enkrat sem bil kamnan, trikrat sem pretrpel brodolom, noč in dan sem bil na globokem morju;
26 in frequent journeys, in perils of flowing waters, in perils of bandits, in perils from my race, in perils from Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils at sea, in perils among false brothers,
pogosto na potovanjih, v nevarnostih od vodá, v nevarnostih od roparjev, v nevarnostih od svojih lastnih rojakov, v nevarnostih od poganov, v nevarnostih v mestu, v nevarnostih v divjini, v nevarnostih na morju, v nevarnostih med lažnivimi brati;
27 in toil and hardship, in frequent sleeplessness, in hunger and thirst, in frequent fasts, in cold and nakedness.
v utrujenostih in bolestih, v pogostih bedenjih, v lakoti in žeji, v pogostih postih, v mrazu in nagoti.
28 Besides the external things, crowding upon me daily is the care of all the congregations.
Poleg teh stvari, ki so zunanje, to, kar dnevno prihaja nadme, [še] skrb za vse cerkve.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I am not made fiery?
Kdo je slaboten in jaz nisem slaboten? Kdo je užaljen in jaz ne gorim?
30 If it is necessary to boast, I will boast of the things of my weakness.
Če se moram nujno ponašati, se bom ponašal s stvarmi, ki se tičejo mojih slabotnosti.
31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, he who is blessed into the ages, knows that I do not lie. (aiōn g165)

32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king guarded the city of the Damascenes wanting to apprehend me.

33 And I was lowered in a hamper through a window through the wall, and escaped his hands.
pa sem bil skozi okno v košu spuščen dol ob zidu in pobegnil njegovim rokam.‹
