2 Chronicles 8
1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of Jehovah, and his own house,
In zwanzig Jahren hatte Salomo das Haus des Herrn und sein Haus erbaut.
2 that the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the sons of Israel to dwell there.
Danach baute Salomo die Städte aus, die Churam dem Salomo gegeben, und siedelte Israeliten darin an.
3 And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.
Dann zog Salomo nach Hamat bei Soba und eroberte es.
4 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store-cities, which he built in Hamath.
Er baute auch Tadmor in der Wüste und alle Vorratsstädte aus, die er in Hamat angelegt hatte.
5 Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the lower, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars,
Er baute auch Ober- und Nieder-Bet Choron aus, Festungen mit Mauern, Toren und Riegeln,
6 and Baalath, and all the store-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
ferner Baalat und alle Vorratsstädte, die Salomo besaß, alle Wagenstädte, die Städte für die Reiter und alles, was Salomo zu bauen wünschte in Jerusalem, auf dem Libanon und in seinem ganzen Herrschaftsbereich.
7 As for all the people who were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, that were not of Israel,
Aus allem Volk, das von den Chittitern, Amoritern, Perizitern, Chiwitern und Jebusitern übrig war und das nicht aus Israel war,
8 of their sons who were left after them in the land whom the sons of Israel did not consumed, of them Solomon raised a levy of bondservants to this day.
von seinen Söhnen, die nach ihm im Lande geblieben waren und die die Israeliten nicht ausgerottet hatten, hob Salomo zum Frondienst aus bis auf diesen Tag.
9 But Solomon made no servants of the sons of Israel for his work, but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
Aber von den Israeliten machte Salomo keinen zum Knecht für seine Arbeit. Sie wurden Kriegsleute, Befehlshaber seiner Wagenkämpfer und Befehlshaber seiner Wagen und Reiter.
10 And these were the chief officers of king Solomon, even two hundred and fifty that bore rule over the people.
Dies waren die Oberen der Vögte des Königs Salomo, 210, die die Leute beaufsichtigten.
11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David to the house that he had built for her. For he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy in which the ark of Jehovah has come.
Salomo aber brachte Pharaos Tochter aus der Davidsstadt in das Haus, das er für sie gebaut hatte. Denn er sprach: "Kein Weib wohne mir im Hause Davids, des Königs von Israel! Denn der Ort ist heilig, weil dahin die Lade des Herrn gekommen ist."
12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah, which he had built before the porch,
Damals brachte Salomo dem Herrn Brandopfer dar, auf dem Altar des Herrn, den er vor der Vorhalle erbaut hatte.
13 even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
Das Tägliche brachte er dar nach des Moses Gebot an den Sabbaten, Neumonden und Festen und dreimal im Jahre, an dem Feste der ungesäuerten Brote, am Wochenfeste und am Hüttenfeste.
14 And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required, also the porters by their divisions at every gate. For so David the man of God had commanded.
Nach seines Vaters David Anordnung bestellte er die Priesterabteilungen zu ihrem Dienste und die Leviten zu ihren Amtsverrichtungen, daß sie lobsangen und bei den Priestern den täglichen Dienst taten, ferner die Torhüter nach ihren Abteilungen für jedes Tor. Denn so war es Befehl des Gottesmannes David.
15 And they did not depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
Man war in keinem Stücke abgewichen von des Königs Befehl betreffs der Priester und Leviten und der Schatzkammern.
16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared from the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, and until it was finished. So the house of Jehovah was completed.
So ward Salomos ganzes Werk fertig, von dem Tage an, an dem das Haus des Herrn gegründet wurde, bis zur gänzlichen Vollendung des Hauses des Herrn.
17 Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, on the seashore in the land of Edom.
Damals war Salomo nach Esiongeber und Elot am Meeresufer im Lande Edom gezogen.
18 And Huram sent ships to him by the hands of his servants, and servants who had knowledge of the sea. And they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and fetched from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
Churam aber sandte ihm durch seine Knechte Schiffe mit meereskundigen Knechten. Und sie kamen mit Salomos Knechten nach Ophir. Von da holten sie 450 Talente Gold und brachten es dem König Salomo.
