2 Chronicles 6
1 Then Solomon spoke, Jehovah has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
| آنگاه سلیمان گفت: «خداوند فرموده است که در تاریکی غلیظ ساکن می‌شوم. | ۱ |
2 But I have built for thee a house of habitation, and a place for thee to dwell in forever.
| اما من خانه‌ای برای سکونت تو و مکانی را که تا به ابدساکن شوی بنا نموده‌ام.» | ۲ |
3 And the king turned his face, and blessed all the assembly of Israel. And all the assembly of Israel stood.
| و پادشاه روی خود را برگردانیده، تمامی جماعت اسرائیل را برکت داد، و تمامی جماعت اسرائیل بایستادند. | ۳ |
4 And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hands fulfilled it, saying,
| پس گفت: «یهوه خدای اسرائیل متبارک باد که به دهان خود به پدرم داودوعده داده، و به‌دست خود آن را به‌جا آورده، گفت: | ۴ |
5 Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in that my name might be there. Neither did I choose any man to be ruler over my people Israel.
| از روزی که قوم خود را از زمین مصربیرون آوردم شهری از جمیع اسباط اسرائیل برنگزیدم تا خانه‌ای بنا نمایم که اسم من در آن باشد، و کسی را برنگزیدم تا پیشوای قوم من اسرائیل بشود. | ۵ |
6 But I have chosen Jerusalem that my name might be there. And have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
| اما اورشلیم را برگزیدم تا اسم من در آنجا باشد و داود را انتخاب نمودم تاپیشوای قوم من اسرائیل بشود. | ۶ |
7 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
| و در دل پدرم داود بود که خانه‌ای برای اسم یهوه خدای اسرائیل بنا نماید. | ۷ |
8 But Jehovah said to David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou did well that it was in thy heart.
| اما خداوند به پدرم داودگفت: چون در دل تو بود که خانه‌ای برای اسم من بنا نمایی نیکو کردی که این را در دل خود نهادی. | ۸ |
9 Nevertheless thou shall not build the house, but thy son who shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
| لیکن تو خانه را بنا نخواهی نمود، بلکه پسر توکه از صلب تو بیرون آید او خانه را برای اسم من بنا خواهد کرد. | ۹ |
10 And Jehovah has performed his word that he spoke. For I have risen up in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised, and have built the house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
| پس خداوند کلامی را که گفته بود ثابت گردانید و من به‌جای پدرم داودبرخاسته، و بر وفق آنچه خداوند گفته بود برکرسی اسرائیل نشسته‌ام و خانه را به اسم یهوه خدای اسرائیل بنا نمودم. | ۱۰ |
11 And there I have set the ark in which is the covenant of Jehovah, which he made with the sons of Israel.
| و تابوت را که عهدخداوند که آن را با بنی‌اسرائیل بسته بود در آن می‌باشد در آنجا گذاشته‌ام.» | ۱۱ |
12 And he stood before the altar of Jehovah in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands.
| و او پیش مذبح خداوند به حضور تمامی جماعت اسرائیل ایستاده، دستهای خود رابرافراشت. | ۱۲ |
13 For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court. And upon it he stood, and knelt down upon his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.
| زیرا که سلیمان منبر برنجینی را که طولش پنج ذراع، و عرضش پنج ذراع، و بلندیش سه ذراع بود ساخته، آن را در میان صحن گذاشت و بر آن ایستاده، به حضور تمامی جماعت اسرائیل زانو زد و دستهای خود را به سوی آسمان برافراشته، | ۱۳ |
14 And he said, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven, or on earth, who keep covenant and loving kindness with thy servants, who walk before thee with all their heart,
| گفت: «ای یهوه خدای اسرائیل! خدایی مثل تو نه در آسمان و نه در زمین می‌باشد که با بندگان خود که به حضور تو به تمامی دل خویش سلوک می‌نمایند، عهد ورحمت را نگاه می‌داری. | ۱۴ |
15 who have kept with thy servant David my father that which thou promised him. Yea, thou spoke with thy mouth, and have fulfilled it with thy hand, as it is this day.
| و آن وعده‌ای را که به بنده خود پدرم داود داده‌ای نگاه داشته‌ای زیرا به دهان خود وعده دادی و به‌دست خود آن را وفانمودی چنانکه امروز شده است. | ۱۵ |
16 Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou have promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy sons take heed to their way, to walk in my law as thou have walked before me.
| پس الان‌ای یهوه خدای اسرائیل با بنده خود پدرم داود آن وعده را نگاه دار که به او داده و گفته‌ای که به حضور من کسی‌که بر کرسی اسرائیل بنشیندبرای تو منقطع نخواهد شد، به شرطی که پسرانت طریقهای خود را نگاه داشته، به شریعت من سلوک نمایند چنانکه تو به حضور من رفتارنمودی. | ۱۶ |
17 Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou spoke to thy servant David.
| و الان‌ای یهوه خدای اسرائیل کلامی که به بنده خود داود گفته‌ای ثابت بشود. | ۱۷ |
18 But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee. How much less this house which I have built!
| «اما آیا خدا فی الحقیقه در میان آدمیان برزمین ساکن خواهد شد؟ اینک فلک و فلک الافلاک تو را گنجایش ندارد تا چه رسد به این خانه‌ای که بنا کردم. | ۱۸ |
19 Yet have thou respect to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken to the cry and to the prayer which thy servant prays before thee,
| لیکن‌ای یهوه خدای من به دعا وتضرع بنده خود توجه نما و استغاثه و دعایی راکه بنده ات به حضور تو می‌کند اجابت فرما. | ۱۹ |
20 that thine eyes may be open toward this house day and night, even toward the place of which thou have said that thou would put thy name there, to hearken to the prayer which thy servant shall pray toward this place.
| تاآنکه شب و روز چشمان تو بر این خانه باز شود وبر مکانی که درباره‌اش وعده داده‌ای که اسم خودرا در آنجا قرار خواهی داد تا دعایی را که بنده ات به سوی این مکان بنماید اجابت کنی. | ۲۰ |
21 And hearken thou to the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place. Yea, hear thou from thy dwelling-place, even from heaven, and when thou hear forgive.
| و تضرع بنده ات و قوم خود اسرائیل را که به سوی این مکان دعا می‌نمایند استماع نما و از آسمان مکان سکونت خود بشنو و چون شنیدی عفو فرما. | ۲۱ |
22 If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before thine altar in this house,
| «اگر کسی با همسایه خود گناه ورزد و قسم بر او عرضه شود که بخورد و او آمده، پیش مذبح تو در این خانه قسم خورد، | ۲۲ |
23 then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, requiting the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head, and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
| آنگاه از آسمان بشنو و عمل نموده، به جهت بندگانت داوری کن و شریران را جزا داده، طریق ایشان را بسر ایشان برسان، و عادلان را عادل شمرده، ایشان را به حسب عدالت ایشان جزا بده. | ۲۳ |
24 And if thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house,
| «و هنگامی که قوم تو اسرائیل به‌سبب گناهانی که به تو ورزیده باشند به حضور دشمنان خود مغلوب شوند، اگر به سوی تو بازگشت نموده، به اسم تو اعتراف نمایند و نزد تو در این خانه دعا و تضرع کنند، | ۲۴ |
25 then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again to the land which thou gave to them and to their fathers.
| آنگاه از آسمان بشنو وگناه قوم خود اسرائیل را بیامرز و ایشان را به زمینی که به ایشان و به پدران ایشان داده‌ای بازآور. | ۲۵ |
26 When the heavens are shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee, if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin when thou do afflict them,
| «هنگامی که آسمان بسته شود و به‌سبب گناهانی که به تو ورزیده باشند باران نبارد، اگر به سوی این مکان دعا کنند و به اسم تو اعتراف نمایند و به‌سبب مصیبتی که به ایشان رسانیده باشی از گناه خویش بازگشت کنند، | ۲۶ |
27 then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and send rain upon thy land, which thou have given to thy people for an inheritance.
| آنگاه ازآسمان بشنو و گناه بندگانت و قوم خود اسرائیل را بیامرز و راه نیکو را که در آن باید رفت به ایشان تعلیم بده، و به زمین خود که آن را به قوم خویش برای میراث بخشیده‌ای باران بفرست. | ۲۷ |
28 If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, if there be blight or mildew, locust or caterpillar, if their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities, whatever plague or whatever sickness there be,
| «اگر در زمین قحطی باشد و اگر وبا یا بادسموم یا یرقان باشد یا اگر ملخ یا کرم باشد و اگردشمنان ایشان، ایشان را در شهرهای زمین ایشان محاصره نمایند هر بلایی یا هر مرضی که بوده باشد. | ۲۸ |
29 whatever prayer and supplication be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man his own plague and his own sorrow, and shall spread forth his hands toward this house,
| آنگاه هر دعا و هر استغاثه‌ای که از هرمرد یا از تمامی قوم تو اسرائیل کرده شود که هریک از ایشان بلا و غم دل خود را خواهد دانست، و دستهای خود را به سوی این خانه دراز خواهد کرد. | ۲۹ |
30 then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling-place and forgive, and render to every man according to all his ways, whose heart thou know, (for thou, even thou only, know the hearts of the sons of men),
| آنگاه از آسمان که مکان سکونت تو باشدبشنو و بیامرز و به هر کس که دل او را می‌دانی به حسب راههایش جزا بده، زیرا که تو به تنهایی عارف قلوب جمیع بنی آدم هستی. | ۳۰ |
31 that they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways so long as they live in the land which thou gave to our fathers.
| تا آن که ایشان در تمامی روزهایی که بروی زمینی که به پدران ما داده‌ای زنده باشند از تو بترسند. | ۳۱ |
32 Moreover concerning the foreigner, who is not of thy people Israel, when he shall come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thine outstretched arm, when they shall come and pray toward this house,
| «و نیز غریبی که از قوم تو اسرائیل نباشد وبه‌خاطر اسم عظیم تو و دست قوی و بازوی برافراشته تو از زمین بعید آمده باشد، پس چون بیاید و به سوی این خانه دعا نماید، | ۳۲ |
33 then hear thou from heaven, even from thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the foreigner calls to thee for, that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as do thy people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
| آنگاه ازآسمان، مکان سکونت خود، بشنو و موافق هرآنچه آن غریب نزد تو استغاثه نماید به عمل آورتا جمیع قومهای جهان اسم تو را بشناسند و مثل قوم تو اسرائیل از تو بترسند و بدانند که اسم تو براین خانه‌ای که بنا کرده‌ام نهاده شده است. | ۳۳ |
34 If thy people go out to battle against their enemies, by whatever way thou shall send them, and they pray to thee toward this city which thou have chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name,
| «اگر قوم تو برای مقاتله با دشمنان خود به راهی که ایشان را فرستاده باشی، بیرون روند و به سوی شهری که برگزیده‌ای و خانه‌ای که به جهت اسم تو بنا کرده‌ام، نزد تو دعا نمایند، | ۳۴ |
35 then hear thou from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
| آنگاه دعاو تضرع ایشان را از آسمان بشنو و حق ایشان را به‌جا آور. | ۳۵ |
36 If they sin against thee (for there is no man that sins not), and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive to a land far off or near,
| «و اگر به تو گناه ورزیده باشند زیرا انسانی نیست که گناه نکند، و بر ایشان غضبناک شده، ایشان را به‌دست دشمنان تسلیم کرده باشی واسیرکنندگان ایشان، ایشان را به زمین دور یانزدیک ببرند، | ۳۶ |
37 yet if they shall rethink themselves in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done perversely, and have dealt wickedly,
| پس اگر در زمینی که در آن اسیرباشند به خود آمده، بازگشت نمایند و در زمین اسیری خود نزد تو تضرع نموده، گویند که گناه کرده و عصیان ورزیده، و شریرانه رفتارنموده‌ایم، | ۳۷ |
38 if they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity where they have carried them captive, and pray toward their land, which thou gave to their fathers, and the city which thou have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name,
| و در زمین اسیری خویش که ایشان را به آن به اسیری برده باشند، به تمامی دل وتمامی جان خود به تو بازگشت نمایند، و به سوی زمینی که به پدران ایشان داده‌ای و شهری که برگزیده‌ای و خانه‌ای که برای اسم تو بنا کرده‌ام دعا نمایند، | ۳۸ |
39 then hear thou from heaven, even from thy dwelling-place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their case, and forgive thy people who have sinned against thee.
| آنگاه از آسمان، مکان سکونت خود، دعا و تضرع ایشان را بشنو و حق ایشان رابجا آور، و قوم خود را که به تو گناه ورزیده باشندبیامرز. | ۳۹ |
40 Now, O my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attendant to the prayer that is made in this place.
| پس الان‌ای خدای من چشمان تو بازشود و گوشهای تو به دعاهایی که در این مکان کرده شود شنوا باشد. | ۴۰ |
41 Now therefore arise, O Jehovah God, into thy resting-place, thou, and the ark of thy strength. Let thy priests, O Jehovah God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy sanctified rejoice in goodness.
| و حال تو‌ای یهوه خدا، با تابوت قوت خود به سوی آرامگاه خویش برخیز. ای یهوه خدا کاهنان تو به نجات ملبس گردند و مقدسانت به نیکویی شادمان بشوند | ۴۱ |
42 O Jehovah God, do not turn away the face of thine anointed. Remember thy loving kindnesses to David thy servant.
| ای یهوه خدا روی مسیح خود را برنگردان ورحمتهای بنده خود داود را بیاد آور.» | ۴۲ |
