2 Chronicles 28
1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And he did not do that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah like David his father,
௧ஆகாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபது வயதாயிருந்து, பதினாறு வருடங்கள் எருசலேமில் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்; ஆனாலும் அவன், தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல், யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்கு செம்மையானதைச் செய்யாமல்,
2 but he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and also made molten images for the Baalim.
௨இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழிகளில் நடந்து, பாகால்களுக்கு வார்க்கப்பட்ட சிலைகளைச் செய்தான்.
3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his sons in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom Jehovah cast out before the sons of Israel.
௩அவன் பென் இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே தூபங்காட்டி, யெகோவா இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாருக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தின மக்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளின்படியே தன் மகன்களை அக்கினியிலே எரித்துப்போட்டு,
4 And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
௪மேடைகளிலும், மலைகளிலும், பச்சையான அனைத்து மரங்களின் கீழும் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தான்.
5 Therefore Jehovah his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria. And they smote him, and carried away of his a great multitude of captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
௫ஆகையால் அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அவனைச் சீரியருடைய ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் அவனைத் தோற்கடித்து, அவனுக்கு இருக்கிறவர்களிலே பெரிய கூட்டத்தைச் சிறைபிடித்து தமஸ்குவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய ராஜாவின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டான்; இவன் அவனை மிகுதியாக தோற்கடித்தான்.
6 For Pekah the son of Remaliah killed in Judah a hundred and twenty thousand in one day, all of them valiant men, because they had forsaken Jehovah, the God of their fathers.
௬எப்படியெனில், யூதா மனிதர்கள் தங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை விட்டுவிட்டதால், ரெமலியாவின் மகனாகிய பெக்கா அவர்களில் ஒரே நாளில் ஒருலட்சத்து இருபதாயிரம்பேரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் மிகுந்த ஆற்றல் உள்ளவர்கள்.
7 And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, killed Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the ruler of the house, and Elkanah who was next to the king.
௭அன்றியும் எப்பிராயீமின் பராக்கிரமசாலியான சிக்ரியும், ராஜாவின் மகனாகிய மாசேயாவையும், அரண்மனைத் தலைவனாகிய அஸ்ரிக்காமையும், ராஜாவுக்கு இரண்டாம் நிலையிலிருந்த எல்க்கானாவையும் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.
8 And the sons of Israel carried away captive of their brothers two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and also took away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
௮இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரர்களில் இரண்டு லட்சம்பேராகிய பெண்களையும் மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் சிறைபிடித்து, அவர்களுடைய அநேக விலையுயர்ந்த பொருட்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்டு, கொள்ளைப்பொருளைச் சமாரியாவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
9 But a prophet of Jehovah was there, whose name was Oded. And he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria, and said to them, Behold, because Jehovah, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he has delivered them into your hand. And ye have slain them in a rage which has reached up to heaven.
௯அங்கே ஓதேத் என்னும் பெயருடைய யெகோவாவுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசி ஒருவன் இருந்தான்; அவன் சமாரியாவுக்கு வருகிற படைக்கு எதிராகப் போய், அவர்களை நோக்கி: இதோ, உங்கள் முன்னோர்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா யூதாவின்மேல் கோபம்கொண்டதால் அவர்களை உங்கள் கைகளில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; நீங்களோ வானம்வரை எட்டுகிற கடுங்கோபத்தோடு அவர்களை அழித்தீர்கள்.
10 And now ye propose to keep under the sons of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen to you. Are there not even with you trespasses of your own against Jehovah your God?
௧0இப்போதும் யூதாவின் மக்களையும் எருசலேமியர்களையும் நீங்கள் உங்களுக்கு வேலைக்காரர்களாகவும் வேலைக்காரிகளாகவும் கீழ்ப்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமான குற்றங்கள் உங்களிடத்திலும் இல்லையோ?
11 Now hear me therefore, and send back the captives that ye have taken captive of your brothers. For the fierce wrath of Jehovah is upon you.
௧௧ஆதலால் நீங்கள் எனக்கு செவிகொடுத்து, நீங்கள் உங்கள் சகோதரர்களிடத்தில் சிறைபிடித்துக் கொண்டுவந்தவர்களைத் திரும்ப அனுப்பிவிடுங்கள்; யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபம் உங்கள்மேல் இருக்கிறது என்றான்.
12 Then certain of the heads of the sons of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against those who came from the war,
௧௨அப்பொழுது எப்பிராயீம் வம்சத்தினரின் தலைவர்களில் சிலராகிய யோகனானின் மகன் அசரியாவும், மெஷிலெமோத்தின் மகன் பெரகியாவும், சல்லூமின் மகன் எகிஸ்கியாவும், அத்லாயின் மகன் அமாசாவும் போரிலிருந்து வந்தவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பி,
13 and said to them, Ye shall not bring in the captives here. For ye propose that which will bring upon us a trespass against Jehovah, to add to our sins and to our trespass. For our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
௧௩அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சிறைபிடித்த இவர்களை இங்கே உள்ளே கொண்டுவரவேண்டாம்; நம்மேல் திரளான குற்றமும், இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் கடுங்கோபமும் இருக்கும்போது, நீங்கள், யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நம்மேல் குற்றம் சுமரச்செய்யத்தக்கதாக, நம்முடைய பாவங்களையும் நம்முடைய குற்றங்களையும் அதிகமாக்க நினைக்கிறீர்கள் என்றார்கள்.
14 So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the rulers and all the assembly.
௧௪அப்பொழுது ஆயுதம் அணிந்தவர்கள் சிறைபிடித்தவர்களையும், கொள்ளையுடைமைகளையும், பிரபுக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் அனைத்து சபைக்கு முன்பாகவும் விட்டுவிட்டார்கள்.
15 And the men who have been mentioned by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all who were naked among them, and dressed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon donkeys, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brothers. Then they returned to Samaria.
௧௫அப்பொழுது பெயர் குறிக்கப்பட்ட மனிதர்கள் எழும்பி, சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களில் ஆடையில்லாத அனைவருக்கும் கொள்ளையில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட ஆடைகளைக் கொடுத்து, ஆடைகளையும் காலணிகளையும் அணிவித்து, அவர்களுக்கு சாப்பிடவும் குடிக்கவும் கொடுத்து, அவர்களுடைய காயங்களுக்கு எண்ணெய் பூசி, அவர்களில் பெலவீனமானவர்களையெல்லாம் கழுதைகள்மேல் ஏற்றி, பேரீச்சை மரங்களின் பட்டணமாகிய எரிகோவிலே அவர்கள் சகோதரர்களிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்துவிட்டு, சமாரியாவுக்குத் திரும்பினார்கள்.
16 At that time king Ahaz sent to the kings of Assyria to help him.
௧௬அக்காலத்திலே ஆகாஸ் என்னும் ராஜா, அசீரியாவின் ராஜாக்கள் தனக்கு ஒத்தாசைசெய்ய அவர்களிடத்திற்கு ஆட்களை அனுப்பினான்.
17 For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.
௧௭ஏதோமியரும் கூடவந்து, யூதாவைத் தாக்கி, சிலரை சிறைபிடித்துப்போயிருந்தார்கள்.
18 The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the lowland, and of the South of Judah, and had taken Beth-shemesh, and Aijalon, and Gederoth, and Soco with the towns of it, and Timnah with the towns of it, also Gimzo and the towns of it. And they dwelt there.
௧௮பெலிஸ்தரும் யூதாவிலே சமபூமியிலும் தெற்கேயும் இருக்கிற பட்டணங்களைத் தாக்கி, பெத்ஷிமேசையும், ஆயலோனையும், கெதெரோத்தையும், சோக்கோவையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும், திம்னாவையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும், கிம்சோவையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும் பிடித்து அங்கே குடியேறினார்கள்.
19 For Jehovah brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had dealt wantonly in Judah, and trespassed severely against Jehovah.
௧௯யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாசினிமித்தம் யெகோவா யூதாவைத் தாழ்த்தினார்; அவன் யூதாவை சீர்குலைத்து, யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக மிகவும் துரோகம் செய்தான்.
20 And Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria came to him, and distressed him, but did not strengthen him.
௨0அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய தில்காத்பில்நேசர் அவனிடத்தில் வந்தான்; அவனை நெருக்கினானே அல்லாமல் அவனைப் பலப்படுத்தவில்லை.
21 For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of Jehovah, and out of the house of the king and of the rulers, and gave it to the king of Assyria, but it did not help him.
௨௧ஆகாஸ் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தில் ஒருபங்கும், ராஜ அரண்மனையில் ஒருபங்கும், பிரபுக்களின் கையில் ஒருபங்கும் எடுத்து, அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவுக்குக் கொடுத்தபோதும், அவனுக்கு உதவி கிடைக்கவில்லை.
22 And in the time of his distress he trespassed yet more against Jehovah, this same king Ahaz.
௨௨தான் நெருக்கப்படுகிற காலத்திலும் யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக அந்த ஆகாஸ் என்னும் ராஜா துரோகம்செய்துகொண்டே இருந்தான்.
23 For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus, which smote him. And he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, therefore I will sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.
௨௩எப்படியென்றால்: சீரியா ராஜாக்களின் தெய்வங்கள் அவர்களுக்குத் துணை செய்கிறதால், அவர்கள் எனக்கும் துணைசெய்ய அவர்களுக்கு பலியிடுவேன் என்று சொல்லி, தன்னைத் தோற்கடித்த தமஸ்குவின் தெய்வங்களுக்கு அவன் பலியிட்டான்; ஆனாலும் அது அவனும் இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தும் அழிவதற்கு காரணமானது.
24 And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of Jehovah. And he made altars for him in every corner of Jerusalem.
௨௪ஆகாஸ் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் தட்டுமுட்டுகளைச் சேர்த்து, அவைகளைத் துண்டுதுண்டாக்கி, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் கதவுகளைப் பூட்டிப்போட்டு, எருசலேமில் மூலைக்குமூலை பலிபீடங்களை உண்டாக்கி,
25 And in every city of Judah he made high places to burn incense to other gods, and provoked to anger Jehovah, the God of his fathers.
௨௫அந்நிய தெய்வங்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டுவதற்கு, யூதாவின் ஒவ்வொரு பட்டணத்திலும் மேடைகளை உண்டாக்கி; தன் முன்னோர்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபமூட்டினான்.
26 Now the rest of his acts, and all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
௨௬அவனுடைய மற்ற காரியங்களும், அவனுடைய ஆரம்பம்முதல் கடைசிவரையுள்ள அனைத்து செயல்பாடுகளும் யூதா மற்றும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
27 And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem. For they did not bring him into the sepulchers of the kings of Israel. And Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
௨௭ஆகாஸ் இறந்தபின்பு, அவனை எருசலேம் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம்செய்தார்கள்; ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் கல்லறைகளில் அவனை அடக்கம் செய்யவில்லை; அவன் மகனாகிய எசேக்கியா அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
