< 2 Chronicles 19 >
1 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
Awo Yekosafaati kabaka wa Yuda n’akomawo mirembe mu lubiri lwe mu Yerusaalemi.
2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Should thou help the wicked, and love those who hate Jehovah? For this thing wrath is upon thee from before Jehovah.
Yeeku, Omulabi, mutabani wa Kanani n’agenda okumusisinkana, n’agamba Yekosafaati nti, “Kituufu ggwe okuyamba ababi, ate n’okukolagana n’abo abakyawa Mukama? Olw’ekikolwa ekyo, obusungu bwa Mukama kyebuvudde bukubuubukirako.
3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have set thy heart to seek God.
Kyokka mu ggwe mulimu ebirungi, kubanga wazikiriza Baaserosi n’obaggya mu nsi, n’omalirira mu mutima gwo okunoonya Katonda.”
4 And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem. And he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brought them back to Jehovah, the God of their fathers.
Awo Yekosafaati n’abeeranga mu Yerusaalemi, n’addayo eri abantu okuva e Beeruseba okutuuka mu Efulayimu mu nsi ey’ensozi, bonna n’abakomyawo eri Mukama, Katonda wa bajjajjaabwe.
5 And he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city,
N’alonda abalamuzi mu nsi, ne mu buli kibuga kya Yuda ekiriko Bbugwe.
6 and said to the judges, Consider what ye do. For ye judge not for man, but for Jehovah, and he is with you in the judgment.
N’abategeeza nti, “Mufumiitirize nnyo ku bye mukola, kubanga temulamula ku bw’abantu wabula ku bwa Mukama, abeera nammwe buli bwe musala omusango.
7 Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you. Take heed and do it. For there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
Noolwekyo entiisa ya Mukama ebeere mu mmwe, musale omusango nga mugwekanyizza bulungi, kubanga Mukama Katonda waffe takkiriziganya na butali butuukirivu, era tewali kusosola mu bantu wadde okulya enguzi.”
8 Moreover in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat set from the Levites and the priests, and from the heads of the fathers of Israel for the judgment of Jehovah, and for controversies. And they returned to Jerusalem.
Ate ne mu Yerusaalemi Yekosafaati yalonda abamu ku Baleevi, ne bakabona, n’emitwe gy’ennyumba za Isirayiri okulamulanga ku bwa Mukama, n’okusalangawo ensonga enzibu.
9 And he charged them, saying, Thus ye shall do in the fear of Jehovah, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
N’abakuutira ng’agamba nti, “Mukole nga mutya Mukama, n’obwesigwa era n’omutima gumu.
10 And whenever any controversy shall come to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, ye shall warn them, that they not be guilty towards Jehovah, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brothers. Do this, and ye shall not be guilty.
Bwe wanaabangawo ensonga evudde eri baganda bammwe okuva mu bibuga byabwe, ng’ekwata ku kuyiwa omusaayi, oba ku nsonga endala yonna ekwata ku kiragiro, ku mateeka oba ku biragiro, munaabalabulanga obutayonoona Mukama, obusungu bwe muleme okubatuukako mmwe ne baganda bammwe. Bwe mutyo bwe munaakolanga muleme okubaako omusango.
11 And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Jehovah, and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king's matters. The Levites shall also be officers before you. Deal courageously, and Jehovah be with the good.
“Era Amaliya kabona asinga obukulu y’anaababeerangako n’obuvunaanyizibwa mu nsonga zonna eza Mukama, ate Zebadiya mutabani wa Isimayiri omukulu ow’ekika kya Yuda ye n’avunaanyizibwanga mu nsonga zonna eza kabaka, era n’Abaleevi banaaweerezanga ng’abaami mu maaso gammwe. Mube n’obuvumu, era Mukama abeere n’abo abakola obutuukirivu.”
