1 Samuel 28
1 And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare to fight with Israel. And Achish said to David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shall go out with me in the army, thou and thy men.
౧ఆ రోజుల్లో ఫిలిష్తీయులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధం చేయాలని సైన్యాలను సమకూర్చుకుని యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధమయ్యారు. ఆకీషు దావీదును పిలిచి “నువ్వు, నీ మనుషులు నాతో కలసి యుద్ధానికి బయలుదేరాలని జ్ఞాపకం ఉంచుకో” అన్నాడు.
2 And David said to Achish, Therefore thou shall know what thy servant will do. And Achish said to David, Therefore I will make thee my chief bodyguard forever.
౨దావీదు “నీ దాసుడనైన నేను నీకు చేయబోయే సహాయం ఏమిటో అది నువ్వు ఇప్పుడు తెలుసుకుంటావు” అన్నాడు. ఆకీషు “ఆలాగైతే నిన్ను ఎప్పటికీ నా సొంత సంరక్షకుడుగా నియమించుకుంటాను” అన్నాడు.
3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those who had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
౩సమూయేలు చనిపోయినపుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలంతా అతని కోసం ఏడ్చి, అతని సొంత పట్టణమైన రమాలో అతణ్ణి పాతిపెట్టారు. సౌలు, చచ్చినవాళ్ళతో, ఆత్మలతో మాట్లాడేవారిని తన దేశం నుండి వెళ్లగొట్టాడు.
4 And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and encamped in Shunem. And Saul gathered all Israel together, and they encamped in Gilboa.
౪ఫిలిష్తీయులు దండెత్తి వచ్చి షూనేములో శిబిరం వేసుకున్నప్పుడు, సౌలు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరినీ సమకూర్చాడు. వారు గిల్బోవ లోయలో మకాం వేసారు.
5 And when Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
౫సౌలు ఫిలిష్తీయుల సైన్యాన్ని చూసినపుడు మనస్సులో విపరీతమైన భయం పెంచుకుని
6 And when Saul inquired of Jehovah, Jehovah answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
౬యెహోవా దగ్గర విచారణ చేసాడు. యెహోవా కల ద్వారా గానీ, ఊరీం ద్వారా గానీ, ప్రవక్తల ద్వారా గానీ ఏమీ జవాబివ్వలేదు.
7 Then Saul said to his servants, Seek me a woman who has a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman who has a familiar spirit at En-dor.
౭అప్పుడు సౌలు “నా కోసం మీరు మృతులతో మాట్లాడే ఒక స్త్రీని వెదకండి. నేను వెళ్ళి ఆమె ద్వారా విచారణ చేస్తాను” అని తన సేవకులకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇస్తే, వారు “అలాగే, ఏన్దోరులో మృతులతో మాట్లాడే ఒక స్త్రీ ఉంది” అని అతనితో చెప్పారు.
8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and went, he and two men with him. And they came to the woman by night, and he said, Divine to me, I pray thee, by the familiar spirit, and bring me up whomever I shall name to thee.
౮సౌలు మారువేషం వేసుకుని వేరే దుస్తులు ధరించి ఇద్దరు సహాయకులను వెంట తీసుకుని వెళ్ళి, రాత్రి సమయంలో ఆ స్త్రీతో “మృతులతో మాట్లాడి నాకు శకునం చెప్పి, నాతో మాట్లాడడానికి నేను నీతో చెప్పే వ్యక్తిని రప్పించు” అని కోరాడు.
9 And the woman said to him, Behold, thou know what Saul has done, how he has cut off those who have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land. Why then do thou lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
౯ఆ స్త్రీ, అలాగే “సౌలు ఏం చేయించాడో నీకు తెలియదా? అతడు చచ్చినవాళ్ళతో, ఆత్మలతో మాట్లాడే వారిని దేశంలో లేకుండా తరిమివేశాడు కదా. నువ్వు నా ప్రాణం కోసం ఉరివేసి నాకు చావు వచ్చేలా చేస్తావు” అని అతనితో అంది.
10 And Saul swore to her by Jehovah, saying, As Jehovah lives, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
౧౦అప్పుడు సౌలు “దేవుని తోడు, దీన్ని బట్టి నీకు శిక్ష ఎంతమాత్రం రాదు” అని యెహోవా పేరున ఒట్టు పెట్టుకొంటే,
11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up to thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
౧౧ఆ స్త్రీ “నీతో మాట్లాడడం కోసం ఎవరిని రప్పించాలి” అని అడిగింది. అతడు “సమూయేలును రప్పించాలి” అని కోరాడు.
12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice. And the woman spoke to Saul, saying, Why have thou deceived me? For thou are Saul.
౧౨ఆ స్త్రీ సమూయేలును చూసి గట్టిగా కేకవేసి “నీవు సౌలువి గదా, నీవు నన్నెందుకు మోసం చేశావు” అని సౌలును అడిగితే,
13 And the king said to her, Be not afraid, for what do thou see? And the woman said to Saul, I see a god coming up out of the earth.
౧౩రాజు “నువ్వు భయపడవద్దు. నీకు ఏమి కనబడిందో చెప్పు” అని ఆమెను అడిగితే “దేవుళ్ళలో ఒకడు భూమిలోనుండి పైకి రావడం నేను చూస్తున్నాను” అని చెప్పింది.
14 And he said to her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man comes up, and he is covered with a robe. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
౧౪రాజు “అతడు ఏ రూపంలో ఉన్నాడు” అని అడిగాడు. ఆమె “దుప్పటి కప్పుకుని ఉన్న ఒక ముసలివాడు పైకి వస్తున్నాడు” అని చెబితే, సౌలు, అతడు సమూయేలు అని గ్రహించి సాగిలపడి నమస్కారం చేశాడు.
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why have thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am greatly distressed, for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answers me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams. Therefore I have called thee, that thou may make known to me what I shall do.
౧౫“నన్ను రమ్మని నువ్వెందుకు తొందరపెట్టావు” అని సమూయేలు సౌలును అడిగాడు. సౌలు “నేను తీవ్రమైన బాధల్లో ఉన్నాను. ఫిలిష్తీయులు నా మీదికి దండెత్తి వస్తే దేవుడు నన్ను పక్కన పెట్టి ప్రవక్తల ద్వారా గానీ, కలల ద్వారా గానీ నాకేమీ జవాబివ్వలేదు. కాబట్టి నేను ఏమి చేయాలో నాకు తెలియజేయడానికి నిన్ను పిలిపించాను” అన్నాడు.
16 And Samuel said, Why then do thou ask of me, since Jehovah departed from thee, and has become thine adversary?
౧౬అప్పుడు సమూయేలు “యెహోవా నిన్ను పక్కన పెట్టి నీకు విరోధి అయ్యాడు. ఇప్పుడు నన్ను అడగడం వల్ల ప్రయోజనం ఏంటి?
17 And Jehovah has done to thee, as he spoke by me. And Jehovah has torn the kingdom out of thy hand, and given it to thy neighbor, even to David.
౧౭యెహోవా తన జవాబును తానే స్వయంగా వెల్లడిస్తున్నాడు. నా ద్వారా ఆయన సెలవిచ్చినట్టు, నీ చేతిలో నుండి రాజ్యాన్ని తీసివేసి నీ సేవకుడు దావీదుకు దాన్ని ఇచ్చివేశాడు.
18 Because thou obeyed not the voice of Jehovah, and did not execute his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore Jehovah has done this thing to thee this day.
౧౮యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞకు నువ్వు లోబడకుండా, అమాలేకీయుల విషయంలో ఆయన తీక్షణమైన ఉగ్రతను అమలు చేయలేదు కాబట్టి దాన్ని బట్టి యెహోవా నీకు ఈ రోజు ఈ విధంగా జరిగిస్తున్నాడు.
19 Moreover Jehovah will deliver Israel also with thee into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow thou and thy sons shall be with me. Jehovah will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
౧౯యెహోవా నిన్నూ, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనూ ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతికి అప్పగిస్తాడు. రేపు నువ్వు, నీ కొడుకులు నా దగ్గరికి చేరుకుంటారు. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సైన్యాన్ని ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతికి అప్పగిస్తాడు” అని సౌలుతో చెప్పాడు.
20 Then Saul fell straightaway his full length upon the earth, and was greatly afraid because of the words of Samuel, and there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
౨౦సమూయేలు చెప్పిన మాటలకు సౌలు తీవ్రమైన భయంతో వెంటనే నేలపై సాష్టాంగపడి రాత్రి అంతా భోజనం ఏమీ తీసుకోకుండా ఉన్నందువల్ల బలహీనుడయ్యాడు.
21 And the woman came to Saul, and saw that he was greatly troubled, and said to him, Behold, thy handmaid has hearkened to thy voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened to thy words which thou spoke to me.
౨౧అప్పుడు ఆ స్త్రీ సౌలు దగ్గరికి వచ్చి, అతడు ఎంతో కలవరపడడం చూసి “నా యజమానీ, నీ దాసినైన నేను నీ ఆజ్ఞకు లోబడి నా ప్రాణాలు అర చేతిలో పెట్టుకుని నువ్వు నాకు చెప్పిన మాటలు విని అలా చేశాను” అని చెప్పింది.
22 Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also to the voice of thy handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee, and eat, that thou may have strength when thou go on thy way.
౨౨ఇప్పుడు “నీ దాసినైన నేను చెప్పే మాటలు విను. నేను నీకు కొంత ఆహారం వడ్డిస్తాను, నువ్వు భోజనం చేసి బలం తెచ్చుకుని ప్రయాణమై వెళ్ళు” అని అతనితో అంది.
23 But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, constrained him, and he hearkened to their voice. So he arose from the ground, and sat upon the bed.
౨౩అతడు భోజనం చేసేందుకు ఒప్పుకోలేదు. అతని సేవకులు ఆ స్త్రీతో కలసి అతనిని బలవంతం చేస్తే అతడు వారు చెప్పిన మాట విని నేలపై నుండి లేచి మంచంపై కూర్చున్నాడు.
24 And the woman had a fatted calf in the house. And she hastened, and killed it, and she took flour, and kneaded it, and baked unleavened bread of it.
౨౪ఆ స్త్రీ తన ఇంట్లో ఉన్న కొవ్విన దూడ తెచ్చి త్వరగా వధించి, పిండి తెచ్చి పిసికి, పులవని రొట్టెలు కాల్చి
25 And she brought it before Saul, and before his servants, and they ate. Then they rose up, and went away that night.
౨౫తీసుకువచ్చి సౌలుకు, అతని సేవకులకు వడ్డిస్తే వారు భోజనం చేసి అక్కడి నుంచి ఆ రాత్రే వెళ్లిపోయారు.
